Link pressed the A button on his controller and continued reading the content on his tablet.
"This device is called the Purah Pad. It will serve as your guide during your journey across Solaris-3. Please keep it safe at all times."
"Your identity on this planet: Catalyst. The current era is the 4195th year of the Huang Calendar, nine years after the cessation of the Lament triggered by the Great Calamity. Twelve years ago, a stillborn child was delivered at Mt. Firmament in the northeastern corner of Huanglong. The Sentinel of Jinzhou used their Chrono Resonance on her, and she inherited the will of the Sentinel, becoming the chosen one and the Magistrate of Jinzhou."
"The current Magistrate has held office for less than a year. Your mission, honored guest, is to help revitalize Huanglong, assist Jinhsi with all your strength, and safeguard the peace of Jinzhou. The aircraft will automatically land at Whining Aix's Mire Airport, which will also be your first property in Jinzhou."
"You are free to explore the device's features at your convenience. Once landed, please proceed swiftly to the marked location to meet your guide. Further details are at your discretion."
The Purah Pad finished its explanation and displayed a map, clearly marking the location of Whining Aix's Mire Airport and the position of the contact. Oddly, the guide was approaching from the northeast and constantly on the move.
Link quickly calculated the distance. At the current cruising speed, there were less than two hours left before arrival—and by then, the guide would be nearby as well.
Just then, the Purah Pad lit up again. Link hurriedly picked it up and focused on the screen.
"Forgive my oversight. The device's most crucial function has not yet been demonstrated."
"This pad allows you to trade goods. All major commodities will be listed. You may purchase them using Rupees. Your initial funds and all supplies have been deposited in your storage. Please make sure to retrieve them."
"Well, well, even a starter pack? Thanks, Big Sis Purah!" Link's eyes lit up as he prepared to dig into the supplies stored in the Purah Pad.
He opened the final module on the pad—the inventory—and carefully scanned through his assets.
"Aviation fuel, 100 tons. One A320-neo aircraft, which I'm currently flying." Link read the list aloud as he strolled back to the cockpit. His eyes landed on the final line. "Real estate: One airport at Whining Aix's Mire. Additional airports at Shade Ridge unlockable…"
Just then, another list caught his attention.
Skill Page:
- Passenger Jet Piloting - Beginner
- Hylian Champion Combat Form - Beginner (Learnable)
Link hit "Confirm." Instantly, a golden light shot into his head. After a brief bout of headache, he felt a surge of information—he had definitely learned something new.
The backpack inventory also included plenty of basic necessities like food and water—enough to last a while. The only letdown was that, while he'd been given ninety rounds of 7.62×39mm ammo, there was no weapon to fire them with.
"Oh great, they expect me to fire these with my bare hands?" Link rolled his eyes and tucked the Purah Pad away.
Seeing how well-equipped he was eased his nerves somewhat.
He returned to the cockpit and checked the plane's systems. According to the flight map, they were nearing the descent point. He double-checked the glide path and approach route, getting ready for landing.
Link glanced at the empty tablet mount above the left side window and set the Purah Pad there. Suddenly, it lit up with a soft blue glow and displayed a new line of text.
"Aircraft weight: Unladen. Estimated rollout distance: ~1600m. Ground temperature: 30°C. Wind: 1 knot from the west."
"Oh, what now?" Link checked the MCDU and input the data.
"A tool for the job: You placed me in the navigation tablet slot, so I auto-generated flight data for your reference," the Purah Pad displayed, along with a diagram of the airport's runway.
"Then tell me this: who's my guide?" Link asked, curious if the Purah Pad could really hear him mumbling.
"Honored Link, I'm afraid I cannot reveal that. But rest assured—you'll definitely like them," the Pad replied once again.
"Alright, alright, I won't ask anymore, Big Sis Purah…"
They soon passed the descent initiation point. The engine's roar gradually softened as the A320 began its slow descent. Link's eyes were locked on the control panel, focused.
As the plane descended to 2800 feet, it automatically captured the ILS signal from Whining Aix's Mire Airport.
Though he didn't know who had installed it, the airport was indeed equipped with ILS landing systems. This meant the A320 could remain on autopilot right up until touchdown. Link only needed to monitor the systems closely and take manual control if necessary.
Suddenly, the aircraft jolted. Link checked the weather radar—heavy cloud cover ahead, possibly thunderstorms and crosswinds. But based on what he'd just learned about aviation, the current conditions were still well within the A320's safety limits. He decided to push straight through.
Fortunately, the aircraft made it through the cumulonimbus clouds without issue and began entering the third leg of the traffic pattern.
At this point, Link could already spot the long runway from the side window.
Whining Aix's Mire Airport was surrounded by hills on three sides, with only one clear exit facing an open direction.
This meant all takeoffs and landings could only happen from one direction—a major efficiency issue in modern aviation. But considering that Jinzhou was essentially a post-apocalyptic wasteland now, it seemed Link's A320 was the only aircraft even capable of flight.
"Two thousand five hundred," the synthetic voice called out. The aircraft had entered the fourth leg of the landing pattern, descending to radio altitude. Link kept his eyes ahead, ready to take over for the final approach.
The plane automatically aligned with the runway. Link disengaged autopilot and manually stabilized the aircraft.
"200… 100… 50… 30… 20… 10…!"
The A320 touched down smoothly on the runway.
Once the nose gear was on the ground, Link activated the reverse thrust and deployed the spoilers, slowing the aircraft to taxi speed.
Following the Purah Pad's guidance, he exited via the third rapid exit taxiway and rolled the plane onto the apron, setting the parking brake and unlocking the doors in preparation to disembark.

Guys! I'm literally so obsessed with Wuthering Waves right now, so I just had to start translating a fic for it! ✨
I can't promise to be super regular, but I'll do my best to upload at least 6 chapters a week! If this gets enough love, I'll totally post more, hehe. 🥰 I know there aren't many WuWa readers out there yet, but I'm hopeful!
Also, since I'm a total newbie to the game, I might get some stuff wrong. 😅 Please, please point out any mistakes you see so I can fix them! Thanks for your help! 💕
