Chapter 2 - CH 2:ALICE IN HIGHSCHOOL

"Alice! Alice! Where is that naughty teenager?" screamed May.

"I'm in the bathroom, and I'm not naughty!" Alice shouted back.

"I'll tell your dad how messy your room is. Oh mama, I am the naughtiest girl on earth. Now you're naughty," said May with a teasing grin.

"Dad's outside. Get ready soon—he wants to drop you off," said May.

"Where?" Alice asked, peeking out.

"Your school," May replied, clearing her throat and reading from the admission letter.

"Remedies High School."

"Wow, Mom! I'm so excited!" Alice exclaimed, stepping out of her room dressed up in her new school uniform that her mom had laid on her bed the night before.

She got out of her room, ate her breakfast, entered the car, and waved goodbye to May.

At School

Alice walked into the principal's office to collect her locker pass code and student ID card. That's when she saw him—Mr. Red Eyes, and at the same time, Mr. Grumpy. He looked straight at her and called her by the name "Missy." She rolled her eyes immediately and walked into the principal's office.

She pretended not to know him, but her mind was spinning. All she could think about was his eyes—and how badly she wanted revenge.

"Hi Miss Lucorra, here's your locker pin and student ID card," the secretary said.

Just then, Dreighton walked in.

"Dreighton?" Alice said in shock.

He definitely doesn't deserve that name, she muttered under her breath in a low tone.

---

"You're just jealous," Alice snapped.

"Jealous? Why would Dreighton be jealous of a cursed lolop? I warn you—stay away, or you could get infected," Red Eyes sneered.

"I don't believe in curses," Alice said dryly as she walked toward her locker.

Immediately after typing her pin to open her locker, a group of girls blocked her. They had seen her as a threat to Dreighton and tried to intimidate her.

But before things escalated, Dreighton rushed over and told the girls to back off. He raised his hand toward Alice's locker and secretly stuck a sticker on it.

The sticker read:

"Missy."

He smirked and walked away laughing. "Bye, Missy-Alice," he said mockingly.

Alice stared at the sticker furiously, tore it off, and crumpled it in her fist.

She made a silent promise to herself:

> To get revenge on Mr. Grumpy for what he did
