About twenty minutes later, just before the first blue hues of dawn brushed the sky, Doctor Mu arrived. A calm woman in a dark green coat, she carried with her a bell-shaped Whisp, floating beside her like a soft, glowing lantern. The Whisp emitted a healing pulse, gentle yet potent, and within moments, Jimmy's condition began to visibly improve.
After finishing the treatment, Doctor Mu smiled warmly and turned to them.
"He… awakened."
Nun Lisa let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. A soft smile touched her lips.
"Yes. At last. His wish will come true."
Then, more seriously, she asked, "How's his brain domain?"
Doctor Mu gently placed a hand on the boy's forehead, her bell-shaped Whisp glowing again.
"Fluctuating between 5% to 8%—mild instability, but nothing alarming. He just needs some rest. Give him some Amekano nuts and a Moonberry shake—it'll help stabilize the domain fluctuations. Also…" she paused, "try to find him a suitable Whisp companion. Maybe check the taming centre. If there's any Whisp egg left, that could help ground him."
Nun Lisa gave a tired nod.
"I know… but there's nothing I can do, not as his mother. Still, he's awakened on his own. He can apply to any academy now."
Still lying down, Jimmy suddenly raised his arms slightly, sensing auras around him in faint trails. He turned his head toward where he felt movement.
"Water," he whispered. "Please… some water."
Nun Lisa quickly poured a cup and brought it to his lips.
"Drink slowly," she said gently.
As he drank, she checked his wounds again. Her eyes widened in surprise.
"All injuries… healed," she murmured. "Except… his eyes."
She carefully removed the soaked cotton from his eyes, replaced it with fresh cotton soaked in Whisp honey and healing dew, and whispered to him,
"Don't try to open them. There's medicine inside. We can't restore your sight fully, but this might help heal the inner damage. You'll have to bear with it."
She gently touched his cheek.
"Now tell me, Jimmy… why did you run away from the Awakening Hall?"
Jimmy strained, trying to speak, but groaned as a sharp pain flared in his head.
"Agh… my brain… it hurts…"
"Calming wave," Nun Lisa ordered softly.
Her dove Whisp immediately fluttered its wings and began to hum a soft lullaby. A gentle psychic pulse spread through the air, calming Jimmy's mind. His breathing slowed, his shoulders eased.
Just before slipping back into sleep, he murmured in a broken voice:
"That man… he stole an egg… for an aristocrat… I saw it with…"
Nun Lisa's expression darkened with worry.
"I thought the stress of self-awakening and losing his sight might have caused some mental dissonance."
Mr. Goat, standing nearby, crossed his arms.
"Are you sure it's worth pursuing?"
She didn't hesitate.
"I raised him. Since he was a baby. Jimmy doesn't lie."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time passed slowly as a pale hush settled over the old house. Jimmy lay still, his breathing steady but shallow. Only Nun Lisa remained by his side, with her dove perched silently on the railing and the small squirrel Whisp curled near his shoulder, watching over him.
Nearly half an hour passed.
Then, footsteps approached in haste. Mr. Goat returned, his expression grim, jaw tight with suppressed anger.
"I checked everything… and Jimmy was right."
Nun Lisa stood up, her eyes narrowing.
"What did you find?"
He stepped forward, lowering his voice.
"There was an unusual Whisp egg—one we never listed officially. It appeared during a delivery mix-up from the Northern Region. We decided to hold onto it quietly in the taming centre's reservoir while waiting for clarification."
He paused grimly.
"Somehow, he found out about it. That man. He didn't come for any regular taming registration ceremony — he came with a ghost Whisp. It slipped through the shadows, bypassed every security ward we had, and took the egg from the sealed vault. Jimmy must have been nearby and saw him retrieving it from the ghost Whisp."
Nun Lisa's breath caught.
"And to keep the secret buried," Mr. Goat added darkly, "he pinned it on Jimmy. Spread the word that he was a thief. That's why the guards were ordered to keep him out of every medical ward. He wanted him gone, silenced."
Nun Lisa's breath caught in her throat. Her fists clenched.
"All this time… and we said nothing. We let him be chased, beaten, blinded—like some criminal.
Mr. Goat nodded firmly.
"I'm already posting everything to the Whisp Tamer Forum—video logs, shift records, even the missing egg's entry. I'm making it public. If we report it now, it'll create a stir. He won't be able to hide behind his authority"
Lisa nodded fiercely.
"Write everything. Don't hold back. Mention the ghost Whisp, the egg's disappearance, the framing of a blind child."
He was already pulling out his data-slate, typing quickly.
"I'm doing it now."
She turned back toward Jimmy, who was still unconscious but breathing steadily, a faint glow pulsing gently from his chest.
"Rest, child," she whispered. "This time, the world will hear your truth."
#Rygarra : Rygarra is a powerful, tiger-like Whisp with a muscular frame and a mane of flickering flame. Its deep crimson fur glows faintly in darkness, and fiery stripes pulse across its body like molten veins. Its eyes blaze with golden-orange light, and every breath carries a faint spark or wisp of smoke. Sharp, ember-coated claws and a tail tipped with a small flame.
# Amekano nut : The Amekano Nut is a small, trident-shaped seed, about the size of a thumbnail. Its central prong is slightly larger and curved like a tiny leaf blade, while the two smaller side prongs branch out symmetrically. The surface is smooth with soft, flowing wave-like ridges, resembling ripples frozen in time. Its colour shimmers between bluish green and seafoam teal, often glowing faintly under moonlight or near mental energy fields. When cracked open, a fragrant mist escapes, smelling faintly of rain.
# Moonberry : The Moonberry resembles an ordinary blueberry but glows faintly under starlight. Its midnight-blue skin is speckled with silver freckles. Slicing it open reveals luminous purple pulp and a translucent, nectar-rich core that glows faintly for a few minutes after exposure to air.
