Chapter 47 - Clone, Split, Strike: Luna’s Training Reaches a New Peak

(More proficiency = more energy required = greater potential for future evolutions)

Jimmy nodded to himself, satisfied with the update. "Shadow Clone Tier 2 now, {shadow clone (tier 2: 135/500) +, another attack tier 4; Water Mist (Tier 5: 2035/2000) +, points (70)}

Inspired by the environment, luna's improvement without thinking of money, Jimmy inserted 120 T-Coins into the panel and reserved Luna's time slot for longer.

After five minutes of rest, Jimmy looked up and said calmly, "Now you know how it feels. Use it."

Luna opened her glowing eyes and stood without complaint. She stepped into the center of the marked zone again.

On the second attempt, she executed a smooth sprint forward—then split. Her clone shot backward at an angle, and this time it wasn't shaky. It was clean.

Jimmy's eyes lit up. "Well done, Luna!" he cheered. He rushed toward her and both of them jumped up, hugging in pure joy. Luna's tail wagged, her watery fur dripping electricity.

Jimmy signed quickly, "Now do it again. Train it into your bones."

Luna nodded with fierce determination and continued for another ten minutes—each pass sharper, smoother, more precise. She moved like water and lightning fused, her clones diverging from her form like mirrored ripples.

When Jimmy finally raised his hand to stop her, she skidded to a halt and asked breathlessly, "New training?"

Jimmy grinned. "Yes. Now... do both at once. Shadow Clone and directional control—together."

Without waiting for further instruction, Luna sprinted across the room, her form blurring with speed. As she ran, she fired off clones in multiple directions—some veering left, some backward, one curving into a wide arc before vanishing.

Jimmy checked the training clock—3:00 PM. Exactly 40 minutes left on the schedule.

"Now," he added, "add Zigzag Turn into the mix."

This was harder.

Luna struggled at first—the sharp turns clashed with clone release timing. Sometimes she lost speed. Other times the clones fired in the wrong direction. Her energy dipped, and she tripped over a clone once.

But she didn't quit.

Jimmy continued shouting encouragement. "Split while turning!" "Anticipate the bend!" "Time it with the angle!"

He also tossed Moon Berries and Chidi Nuts between sets—her body consumed them mid-run, regaining stamina and focus.

After 20 more minutes of exhausting drills, Luna finally nailed it.

She zigzagged across the space, her movement fluid as a stream, and clones burst from her path at perfect angles—90°, 180°, 53° even star curves.

Jimmy raised his hand, proud. "Stop now," he signed.

Luna slowed down and came to a panting halt, sweat-like droplets forming on her watery skin.

Still, fifteen minutes remained. Luna sat quietly, her fur dimly glowing as she healed herself using Healing Ray. The gentle light pulsed from her chest, closing small bruises and realigning her strained energy threads. Her breathing steadied.

Jimmy looked at the clock, then back at her. "Wanna train more?" he asked gently.

Luna gave a tired but determined nod.

Jimmy paused, thinking for a moment—his eyes scanning the room, the tools, and the remaining time. Then an idea clicked.

"Do one thing," he said. "Use Shadow Clone once again."

Without hesitation, Luna summoned a single clone beside her. The watery double formed smoothly, standing like a silent twin.

Jimmy began circling her slowly, his fingers tapping his chin. Luna, playful as always, leapt lightly onto his shoulder, her tail coiling behind his neck. "What do you want?" she asked with a grin.

Jimmy smiled. "Make it bigger."

Luna focused, eyes glowing faintly as she directed more energy into the clone. But nothing changed. The clone's size remained the same—stable but unyielding.

Jimmy frowned in thought, then raised a finger. "Try it with less energy. Just shape it, don't force it."

Luna closed her eyes again, this time letting the flow soften—like painting with a thinner brush instead of pushing hard. And then it happened.

The clone began to stretch outward—first a bit wider, then taller. Its frame doubled in size, shimmering like a giant reflection. A 2x version of Luna now stood beside her, still graceful, still clear.

She trained this adjustment for another two minutes, refining it until she could make the enlarged clone without losing stability or control. She even managed to hop around while keeping it steady.

Jimmy gave her a proud nod. "Good job."

He stepped back, stretched his arms with a soft sigh, and added, "Let's play now. No more practice for today."

Luna's ears perked up. A wide, childlike smile broke across her face as she bounced from his shoulder, already forgetting the exhaustion. Training might be tough—but Jimmy always knew when to call it.
