Chapter 18 - Chapter 18: The Back Mountain of Konoha Split Into Two!!

Boom—!!!

In the very next instant, Night Guy launched a devastating kick at the Perfect Susanoo. A thunderous explosion echoed through the skies—

CRACK!!

The towering Susanoo was instantly shattered, pieces of glowing chakra armor bursting into the air like fireworks.

At the same time—

BANG—!!

With the collapse of his Susanoo, Leo, who had been seated at its core, was left completely exposed. The force of the kick landed squarely on him before he could react or escape.

"Ugh...!!"

A mouthful of blood erupted from Leo's mouth. His body twisted unnaturally in mid-air, as if every bone had been shattered under the impact. He was flung backward like a ragdoll.

And yet—

Night Guy's momentum wasn't spent. The overwhelming power of the technique didn't stop with one hit—it continued forward, dragging Leo's body across the sky.

Suddenly, it was as if the heavens themselves trembled. A deep, resounding quake followed.

And then—

Everyone at the scene witnessed the impossible.

The monumental statues of the Hokage—those carved into the cliffside of Konoha's back mountain—were gone.

Leo had previously damaged Hashirama Senju's stone face and left minor destruction on others. But now?

Nothing remained.

And that wasn't all.

Where the mountain once stood was now a massive canyon—nearly 80 meters wide, more than 100 meters deep, and stretching over a kilometer in length. A colossal scar on the land, split open by a single strike from Night Guy.

"A... a canyon?!"

Ninjas and civilians alike stood frozen. Eyes wide. Mouths agape.

In stunned silence, all of Konoha looked upon the devastation wrought by one man's sacrifice.

"Eight Inner Gates... The fully opened Eight Gate is this powerful?" muttered one of the Root ninjas in the shadows. Even Shimura Danzō, who was rarely impressed, was speechless.

The Back Mountain of Konoha had been cleaved in two.

"Guy...!" Kakashi's voice trembled. His eyes remained locked on the distant impact site.

But there was no time to lose.

Without hesitation, he sprang forward, desperate to reach his friend. Deep inside, Kakashi already knew the truth—that Might Guy had burned through the last of his life force.

But he couldn't just let him die alone.

"Everyone!" Tsunade's voice rang out as she stepped forward, her gaze fixed on the horizon. Raising her hand, she gave a swift, commanding gesture.

"If Uchiha Madara—if Leo is still alive... kill him!"

"And find Guy—do whatever you can to save him! He's a hero of Konoha!"

"Yes, Lady Hokage!" the surrounding shinobi responded in unison.

In a wave of resolve and urgency, Konoha's ninjas surged toward the battlefield. Among them: Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, and even civilians driven by awe and respect for Might Guy's sacrifice.

Today, the entire village stood behind their hero.

But—

As the first wave of shinobi reached the site of the great canyon, they were met with a chilling sight at the far end.

Standing tall amidst the wreckage was a man clad in crimson armor. His long, dark hair flowed like a banner in the wind. In one hand, he held a giant sickle-like weapon. His expression was calm—twisted with satisfaction.

Leo.

"I have to say… I nearly died just now!" he laughed wildly, blood dripping from the corner of his mouth.

And there, hanging lifelessly on the blade of his sickle—

Was Might Guy.

The legendary taijutsu master's body was charred black, brittle like coal. The gaping wound in his chest—pierced by Leo's weapon—had drained the last breath from his body.

Konoha's strongest, its fiercest flame… was extinguished.

"Guy…" Kakashi whispered, frozen in place.

The air around him seemed to still, as if time itself had paused in grief.

"No... it can't be..." Tsunade stumbled back, disbelief written all over her face. She stared at the scene—at the man who had withstood Night Guy—and felt a hollow ache deep in her heart.

This wasn't just any opponent.

This was a monster.

This was Leo, the reincarnation of Uchiha Madara.

"Even the Eight Gate couldn't kill him...?" Tsunade murmured. "Is this man… truly immortal?"

Leo stood with a confident smirk, his armor still intact. His skin bore a few scratches, but nothing more.

"How…?" muttered Uzuki Yugao, who dropped her sword in despair. Her legs gave out. Her spirit—crushed.

Their final hope had just shattered before their eyes.

"Might Guy-sensei… He was so strong… Why?" Naruto clutched his fists, struggling to hold back tears.

But for one person—

The awe turned into ambition.

"This… is the power of the Uchiha?" Sasuke stared intently at Leo. His heart pounded with a dark desire. "If I can obtain this strength… I can kill that man. I must have it!"

Meanwhile—

Leo slowly withdrew his weapon from Might Guy's lifeless body. A faint trickle of blood followed, though most of Guy's blood had been burned away by the sheer heat of his own attack.

A prompt appeared in front of Leo's eyes, invisible to all others:

[Congratulations! You have defeated 'Eight Gate Guy.'

You have unlocked: Super Achievement Reward.

Reward: One Super-Level Lottery Pull.]

Leo glanced at the system message and chuckled.

"A super-tier reward, huh? That's a nice bonus," he said with a smirk, already satisfied with the thrill of battle.

Then, turning his attention to the fallen warrior, Leo muttered solemnly,

"You were a worthy opponent. I'll admit—your power could've killed me."

He paused.

"But you didn't."

One of Leo's eyes—the right one—was a Three Tomoe Sharingan. The other: the Eternal Mangekyō.

As he stared down at Guy's charred form, his right eye suddenly dimmed.

The Sharingan faded into gray.

"It's blind," Leo said flatly.

Then, he reached into his storage space and retrieved something.

"You think I came to Konoha unprepared?" he said quietly.

Without hesitation—

Squelch!

Leo dug his own right eye out, tossing the blind Sharingan aside.

It hit the ground and rolled—lifeless.

At that moment—

"TEACHER GUY!!"

A familiar voice screamed through the canyon.

Lee.

Rock Lee, Guy's most loyal student, had fully opened the Eight Gates in his grief. Now, surging with explosive chakra and pain, he launched himself toward Leo.

His eyes burned with fury. His fists, trembling with vengeance.

"Oh?" Leo raised a brow. In his hand, he still held the new Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan he had just summoned from his system inventory. He hadn't even had the time to implant it yet.

Now, Lee was charging at him full-speed.

Leo smirked.

"Heh."
