Seraphine's Pov
I stared outside the window in longing, I could see other pack members playing dodgeball without a care in the world.
I wanted to join them but I doubt they would allow me to join, I was an outcast besides my father had already ordered me not to go out anyway.
It was a well-known fact that I was a jinx, what if I bumped into the lycan king who just visited? A shiver ran down my spine, that would never happen.
I was curious what he looked like, it was a well known fact that lycans generally lived longer than werewolves. According to rumors, the lycan king was over 200 years old and he had yet to find a mate.
Sighing, I continued to pack my load, In two days, I would awaken my wolf.
After I was done packing, I took a pen and paper then began to draw a map.
A knock pulled me out of reverie, I stood up.
"Who is it," I asked as I stood up to open the door of my room.
"Open the door right now," the person at the other side of the door yelled.
I frowned the moment I heard the person's voice, it was Asher, Orion's Beta.
"What do you want?" I asked the moment I opened the door. Asher stood at the door with a cocky look. The urge to slap that look off his face was great.
"The alpha requests your presence," he said as he studied my every move.
Goosebumps lined on my skin. Why did Orion want me? The lycans were here, he should be busy with the lycans not me.
"My father says-
"I do not give a bullshit about what your father says, do you wish to defy your alpha?" The beta asked as he raised an eyebrow in irritation.
"No beta, I'll be right there," I replied as I clenched my fists in anger.
"No, you are to follow me, let's go," he said as he grabbed my arms. Without a care in the world, I hurriedly removed my self from his grip.
"I can walk, I'm not crippled you know," I stated through gritted teeth. Asher only glanced at me then we began to walk. We both walked out of the doctor's quarters into the pack house.
My heart began to beat in trepidation, I began to pray a silent prayer in my heart.
Moon goddess or whoever hears my prayer please let something distract the alpha Orion, please please please.
Soon we reached the alpha's office, then and there I knew that nothing was going to stop me from entering his office.
I wondered what he wanted, was he going to molest me like he always does? I wish my father was here but even if my father was here, there was nothing he could do.
He couldn't challenge the alpha's word, frankly no one in this pack could.
"Alpha Orion, she's here," Beta Asher said as he knocked on the door of his office.
I gulped, Why wasn't everything going according to plan? He was supposed to be busy with the Lucan king until the night of the awakening, then at midnight I would escape and seek refuge in the human world. Why wasn't everything going according to plan?
Was I truly a jinx?
Suddenly the door of his office opened, and Orion emerged from his office with a very dark expression. He didn't look happy one bit.
I released a breath in horror, he didn't look one bit happy.
He glanced at me with those brown eyes of his and I already knew that I was in big trouble.
A shiver ran down my spine but not in delight but in horror.
"You can go Asher," he then looked at me, "come in Seraphine."
My heart hammered on my chest, Why did that sound like a death sentence?
It didn't sound like a death sentence, it was a death sentence.
Sighing, I entered his office. His office didn't look like what I expected. It was scattered. I could see claw marks on the table and scattered paper on the floor.
The alpha was angry but who the hell angered Orion to this extent? Was it the lycan king?
Orion closed the door behind him then he locked it, I stared into his eyes. It looked frightening.
"What do you want…alpha?" I asked as I tried to keep my composure. I had no idea how Orion turned out to be this violent and malicious.
When we were younger he was that quiet kid who didn't interact with people, even though we weren't close and he was five years older than me, I noticed him.
I mean who wouldn't notice the future alpha of our pack, I didn't know how or when he turned out to be like this but it should be when he became the alpha of this pack.
"You," he replied as he gazed at me with those brown eyes of his. His gaze was chilling, he was angry and I did not doubt that I would be the brunt of his anger.
"Come here Seraphine," he said as he walked closer to me. I shook my head then took two steps back.
My heart began to pound in my chest as I looked for a way to escape. There was no way to overpower him and he had literally locked the door.
I was in trouble.
He walked closer the me then he grabbed my neck and pinned me against the wall. I grabbed his arms in alarm as I tried to gasp for air.
"When I ask you to do something, you do so immediately is that understood?"
I nodded almost immediately. He released me from his grip and almost immediately I took a breath of fresh air.
Before I could register anything he grabbed me by my waist then buried his head in my neck.
"You smell good you know that," he said as he growled.
I shifted my head in disgust, he was going to take me here and now, unfortunately, there would be no one to save me.
The moment I felt his tongue on my skin I whimpered, not in happiness but in sadness. I closed my eyes and a lone tear dropped from my cheeks.
This is it, the best thing to do was to comply with his wishes. When he was done, I would clean myself up and on the night of the awakened I would disappear. This is all but a fleeting moment.
Because if it wasn't a fleeting moment this moment would be a nightmare that would haunt me for the rest of my life.
As if the Moon goddess from above had heard my prayer, the door suddenly flew open. I flinched and then moved far away from the alpha.
A brooding man who was six feet tall stood at the entrance of the alpha's office. He looked very angry and what's more, he looked attractive…very attractive.
I shook my head immediately, Now was not the time to drool over a man.
I stared at him in amazement, Why the hell did he barge into the alpha's office like that? Did he want to die?
His red eyes answered my question, he was a Lycan.
"I was wondering why you made me wait now I can see that you are busy," the Lycan stated as he stared at me longer than he should. His red eyes terrified yet intrigued me.
"No, I can explain-
Before Alpha Orion could explain any further, the Lycan appeared in front of him in a flash then he threw him against the wall.
I gulped. Suddenly I could feel the Lycan's gaze on me.
"What's your name?"
