Vice principal Graybeard's POV:
It has now been a month and a half since the new Professor Sun was hired, and the academy has already gone through drastic changes. After getting one of the troublemakers under control, the man showed his true worth when he got that troublesome guy, who's been a pain in my ass for decades, fired. He showed his true nature as a mage, which to my horror was rather unexpected. I am now glad that nincompoop Shao, sent him to class 2F, as I couldn't bear to see him teaching such dangerous methods to the regular students. I do not hate the class 2F students, but I do realize they are the only students here nobody will care about if they should get hurt, which as sad as it is, still means less paperwork should they get injured by Professor Sun.
He has my respect both as a man and as a mage. Very few have the guts or pain tolerance to carve magical enchantments on to their bare skin. The procedure would feel like someone is dragging a burning hot blade across your skin as you make the enchantments, and if you make a mistake due to an unsteady hand, the results could be disastrous, if not outright lethal. It may not be black magic, but it is still considered taboo amongst mages, as it is nothing short of gambling with your own life.
That is the reason I can't have him teach any other classes for the time being. Preferably, I would have him do more managerial duties instead of educational ones, as he has proven he can handle some of these troublesome complaints that litter my office. A vice principal doesn't directly teach the students barring certain exceptions. Hence, it would be perfect for him. That way I could maybe, just maybe, clock out on time. My amount of paperwork has only increased since that black bearded bastard got fired. He might have caused a good portion of the piles of paper on my desk in the past, but at least he could carry half of the load. With him gone, even though the total amount has gone down. The amount of work I have to do has almost doubled. I just hope the principal hires another vice principal to help me soon or I'm going to drown under all these stacks of paper that only seem to increase day by day.
"Vice principal Kyle?"
Come to think of it. Professor Sun should be returning from the field trip soon. He said he was only planning on spending about 2 weeks off campus with class 2F. That was 15 days ago, so he should be here soon. I'll take him to the principal's office to pitch the idea of a promotion, as soon as he gets here.
"Vice principal Kyle?"
With his talent for handling troublemakers, he would certainly be perfect for the job, or at least I could get him a position of a similar nature. After all he is the first teacher to handle two of the academy's most notorious troublemakers. That's right, I said two. Soon after the incident with the former vice principal, that brat from the Suzuki family started targeting him. And although I started getting complaints from him and his family, it is still better than having to deal with all the complaints regarding the students he injured while 'practicing' his spells. I would get a complaint about a student he injured nearly every day, as it seems the boy can't resist having a live target to practice with. Now he just grumbles in his dorm room while waiting for Professor Sun to walk by, so he can use him for 'target practice' as he calls it, instead. Unfortunately, for me, he always ends up injuring the poor boy as he lets his students beat him to a pulp afterwards, which doesn't bode well for his character reference.
"VICE PRINCIPAL KYLE!!!"
Snapping me out of my reveries, I found that one of my overworked assistants was yelling my name.
"You don't need to shout! What is it? Can't you see I'm busy?" I said while pointing at the stack of unfinished documents.
"Sorry sir, but you asked me to inform you when Professor Sun returned." The assistant said as he was going back to his desk.
"WHERE IS HE NOW?!" I yelled.
The principal is rarely present for long, and he often disappears for long periods of time, so I needed to hurry and pitch my idea to the principal.
"He just arrived, so maybe try asking the guards at the gate, or look in the professor's dorm." Losing what little respect in his tired voice, the assistant got to work on the documents I just finished.
I hurried out to look out the window to see if I could spot him near the gate, fortunately it seemed the guards had stopped him at the gate. I hurried down, not even bothering to use the stairs and just jumped out the window, slowing my fall with my magic robe, as I started sprinting to the front gate. But what greeted me was worse than I ever could have expected.
"GET THOSE BEGGERS OUT OF HERE! THEY CAN'T ENTER!"
"AND I'M TELLING YOU! THEY'RE NOT BEGGERS! THEY ARE STUDENTS!"
Shiro Academy has a certain dress code in the rulebook. No shoes, no shirt, no entry. And before me was Professor Sun and three teenagers dressed like they're from a feral tribe of barbarians. They were wearing clothes made from rags and leaves, while sporting some tribal warpaint. It took me a moment to realize they were students of 2F.
"GET THE-!"
I stopped the guard from throwing them out as I let them into the academy. I sent the youths to go change and hopefully a bath as well, after getting a whiff of their smell.
"What happened to those kids? They look like a tribe of savages."
"I just took them camping in the mountains a bit." Professor Sun said.
"I know, I am going to regret this, but. Which mountains did you take them to?" I asked.
"You see those in the distance with the ominous looking thunderclouds above it. It's those. Hey, what's with that face? Are you alright? Hello! Can you hear me?"
NO! MY CHARACTER REFERENCE! When I approved of the field trip, never in my wildest dreams did I think he would go to the most dangerous place in the country. The Equestrian mountains are famous for its dangerous wildlife, savage indigenous tribes, and there is even a rumor of a dragon having made its nest there. If it comes out this madman took those kids there then forget having him promoted, he would be lucky not to be judged a criminal.
"YOU CAN NEVER TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS! DO YOU HERE ME! NEVER!" I said as I grabbed him by the shoulders.
For the sake of my mental state, I can never let this get out. Once he is promoted, I will make sure he never teaches a class again.
…
Nox's POV:
After we returned, Graybeard ordered me to never let the students go camping again. I understand they broke the dress code, but despite my best efforts the punishment stands. Class 2F are banned from leaving the premises until winter break.
Shortly after I was dragged to Whitebeard's office by Graybeard. It took me a moment to figure out what they were discussing, but I finally figured it out. Graybeard was feeling lonely after breaking up with Blackbeard and wanted to ask grandpappy Whitebeard for permission to go out with me. But I had some unfortunate news, for sweet old Graybeard.
"I'd rather we just stay friends."
"What?!"
"I mean. I would prefer to remain in my current position as the professor of class 2F." I said as I tried to not let my Professor Sun persona slip.
I hate to break poor old Graybeards heart, but he is just not my type. Moreover, I just can't bear to see his face once I decide to return to being a woman. It would break his poor old homosexual heart.
Before I could disappoint him any further. I tried to leave, with teary eyes, as I could hear him beg me not to leave… And then left.
I was called back to Whitebeards office later that day, as he asked me on a date. Apparently, Whitebeard had been charmed by my scarred appearance and refused to take a no for an answer. Hence, I'll give him a shot at whatever this 'Walpurgisnacht' is?
