Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 01 : A NEW BEGINNING

A calm, sunny day in April marked the beginning of a new school year. In a house not big neither small resides a boy . Today onwards Aron yugen is starting his first year of high school .

I adjust my black hair before greeting my parents photo on the wall . I live with my grandparents but they never stay at home . They always travel . It makes me sad that they are not here .

As I stepped out of my house, the soft rustle of leaves and the distant chirping of birds greeted me. The black and blue uniform of Rosbert Academy felt stiff, but it carried a sense of pride.

Today is the start of a new year, with every student moving into new classes and a fresh semester. I'm excited," a smile creeping onto my face. The school I am in is one of the most prestigious school where Noble people send their kids . I am not a noble though but I passed the exam and I am quite rich . While I have a friend who is a noble . My one and only friend .

Just as I reached the signal light, a familiar voice called out behind me.

"Hey, Ron! ."

I know who will say this to me while screaming. It is my friend non other than leon lewis . I turned to see him, his brownish hair catching the sunlight. His black eyes gleamed with the usual cheerfulness. I greeted him back .

"Good morning leon. "

"Did You forgot that we were going to school together ?"

Sure! Here's a continuation in a funny tone from Aron's perspective:

"Sorry. I forgot due to the excitement," Aron said, rubbing the back of his head with an awkward smile.

Leon raised an eyebrow. "Okay, but be ready next time."

Aron blinked. "Uh… I am ready. You're the one who just came running in like a dramatic anime protagonist."

Leon scoffed, slightly out of breath. "That's called making an entrance. Learn some style."

"True," Aron said, glancing at his watch. "but still Five minutes late... which is still a personal record for you."

Leon rolled his eyes. "One day, I'll be early just to shock you."

"And I'll call the doctor when that happens," Aron grinned.

"Anyway let's go to school , I don't want to be late on my debaute day . ' leon say smirkingly.

We crossed the signal together. He comes from a noble family, though he never flaunts it. We've been childhood friends for as long as I can remember.

Back then, Leon was nervous, timid — the kind of kid who'd hide behind me when someone asked for directions. Hard to believe he's this confident now.

Well... he's grown. And honestly, I'm kind of proud.

I mean, not to brag, but I might have played a part in raising him. Call it unofficial parenting.

As we walked toward the school, Leon nudged me with a playful grin and spoke dramatically.

" The school's ace student and her friend, who consistently ranked at top . Rose Grey and Amy Lewis will probably be in the spotlight again," Leon remarked.

I nodded silently before adding, "Isn't Amy your fiancée?"

Leon avoided the question, his smile faltering slightly. "My family sucks , she is my cousin you know right and I also hate her . Due to family situation we are tied up ."

I didn't press him further — he usually tells me everything anyway.

The Lewis family is a well-known, high-class noble household. Leon is actually a descendant of the hero's younger brother — yes, that hero.

Loid, the legendary warrior who defeated the Demon Lord centuries ago, back when demons and monsters roamed freely and the world was on the brink of collapse.

Now, demons and monsters have mostly been wiped out. But some still linger in the shadows of our world… waiting.

"Anyway ron do you still talk to rose or not ." Leon asked me with a serious expression .

Rose Grey is our childhood friend and the academy's ace, was more than just a top student. Her family name came from a merchant lineage, giving her a status close to nobility.

"No , you know right that she has changed." I replied.

But leon still stick to the topic .

" Yeah you are right but she has also changed you "

"Like what. " aron annoyingly said .

Leon stared at me and said "You are like her.... Aren't you ? "

His sudden question caught me off guard but i nodded , looking away. " Yeah... I still like her . "

I ignored further talk . But he kept looking at me like I have steal something from him. By the way we reach the school .

As we enter through the school gates, the air buzzed with excitement. Students clustered around the notice boards, eager to find their new classes. We also look at the board to find where we have to sit.

I looked for my name . In Robert academy there are 5 classes . Class A,B,C,D and special class for high grade students S . In middle school I was in class S and this year I am also in "CLASS S , yes!!".

But I was happy because rose was also in class S.

"Ron, we're in the same class again!" Leon exclaimed, slapping my shoulder.

I smiled, a mix of excitement and nervousness swirling within me. She has always in Class S along with amy.

"Riiing… Riiing… Riiing…"

The bell rang, signaling the start of the day.

Students all around began making their way toward the gym for the entrance ceremony. Some looked nervous, others excited.

Leon glanced at the crowd, then at me, and smirked.

"Guess classes can wait," he said. "Looks like it's ceremony time first."

As we entered the gym, the long-awaited entrance ceremony finally began.

But truth be told, no one seemed interested in the speeches or the formality. The entire student body was focused on one name — the president of Rosbert Academy.

Elena Valtoria.

As she stepped forward, the room fell into a hush.

Her long black hair flowed behind her like a curtain of midnight, and her piercing red eyes scanned the crowd with quiet authority. Each step she took was graceful, yet powerful — like she wasn't just walking to the mic… she was owning the stage.

But the ceremony after that and we both walked toward our class only to found Mrs. Velia was already inside waiting for students

The Class begins . Me and leon sit at the last row . Since in this area teachers can't see that well . She begins speaking.

Velia's magic theory class passed in a blur. The professor's rapid-fire explanations left most of us struggling to keep up. Still, I found my focus wandering to Rose. She was surrounded by a group of students, her presence radiant and commanding.

"Man, Velia talks faster than my horse runs," Leon muttered, trying to catch his breath.

I wasn't listening. My eyes were fixed on Rose.

"He's hopeless," Leon thought, shaking his head. He is always looking at her . though from beginning she doesn't even talk to us . We used to play together at the near park when we were kids . "She is the ace of our school." Are you kidding me . She is the women I hate because she break my best friend's heart. Ron has once asked about why she ignored us and she talks trash to him . She only act like cute, gentle and grace but I reality she is --.

"Leon"

" huh , what happen ron "

"Next class is starting . Lets move to chemistry lab"

"Ok"

I reality she is like a witch . Who only uses people for her own benefit .

Leon and I reached the chemistry lab . This period also ends in a blur also . I didn't even realise when this ended and now lunch has started .

During lunch, Leon and I moved to our usual spot under a large oak tree in the courtyard. Leon handed me an extra bento he had made, knowing my grandparents were away.

"So, you going to talk to her today?" he asked, breaking the silence.

I jumped slightly. "What? No! Why would I?"

" Ron, come on. I've known you since childhood. You only ever look at her," Leon said, annoyingly.

After a moment's of hesitation, I sighed. "I know it's selfish, but... I just want to be the one to talk to her."

Leon raised an eyebrow. "Dude, that's creepy," he said, laughing nervously.

Ignoring him, I grabbed my bento and bolted. "I'll be back after lunch!"

"Seriously? It's the first day, and you're ditching me?" Leon shouted after me, but I was already gone.

I finished my bento away from leon . I felt sorry for ditching him but I don't want to talk about that right now. I should say sorry to him . Let me grab a coffee for him.

I made my way to the vending machine , preoccupied with my thoughts. Suddenly, I bumped into someone.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking," I said instinctively.

"Aron?" a familiar voice replied.

"Rose?" I blurted out, both surprised and nervous.

My cheeks burned. Trying to sound natural, I asked, "How are you doing? Do you intend to join the student council again this year?"

Rose tilted her head, a hint of amusement in her silver eyes. "So what if I do? Will you join me again like in middle school?"

I froze, shocked she had noticed my reason for joining the council back then. Flustered, I mumbled, "That's not it. I joined because the teachers suggested it."

"Whatever you say," she replied nonchalantly.

Just as I turned to leave, she stopped me.

"Wait."

I turned back, confused. She held out a can of coffee.

"You like coffee, right?"

"Y-yeah," I stammered.

"Then here. Take it," she said, handing it over.

As I left, still holding the coffee, she called out, "Are you free this Sunday?"

"Yes," I replied automatically.

"Good. Let's meet at your house," she said, leaving me stunned.

"What!! Did she just say that she wants to come my house ?! "

She waved at me and left . Forget this , I should return to class now.

Back in class, I apologized to Loid for running off. He brushed it off, though I could tell he was annoyed.

The rest of the day passed quickly. After school, Leon and I walked together, chatting about our new teachers and classmates. When we reached the crossroads near our homes, we said our goodbyes.

At home, the silence was deafening. I greeted my parents photo hanging on the wall.

"I am back ."

My grandparents were away on a trip, leaving me alone again . They always leave me alone at home after mom and dad passed away. I still remember the day when my grandparents said that I don't belong this family . I should be able to forget that ." Damn me ". I walked to the kitchen

I cooked a simple dinner and ate in solitude. After finishing dinner I walked to my room .

As I lay in bed staring at the ceiling, a strange heaviness settled over me.

Suddenly, a bright light engulfed the room.

I opened my eyes to a world bathed in soft sunlight. A narrow stone path lay before me, winding gently through an endless field of swaying grass. All around, wildflowers bloomed in a dazzling array—white daisies, tiny bluebells, and soft pink petals that fluttered in the breeze like butterflies.

The air was filled with the delicate fragrance of blooming flowers, sweet and fresh, wrapping around me like a warm hug. The grass whispered as the wind passed, carrying with it yellow petals that danced through the air. It felt as though nature itself had paused to admire its own beauty.

Above, the sky stretched wide and blue, decorated with billowing white clouds that drifted lazily. In every direction, life flourished—flowers bloomed without end, and sunlight bathed everything in a golden glow. It was peaceful. Dreamlike. A place that seemed untouched by time, where every step felt like walking through a painting come to life.

"Where am I?" I murmured, feeling an unsettling feeling in the air.
