Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

Simon was surprised to see the strange messages from the system. It seemed there was more to him just being able to come back to life.

It looks like he could level up as well.

His earlier revivals were just like his old self from before, without no power and skills, but this time he could feel a strange energy inside him. It felt like his heart was made out of steel now and it was pumping not just blood alone but energy as well.

Simon stood up at once and instantly rushed to the villain.

"I am going to kill you!!"

He roared as he smashed forward to the villian. The villain was stupefied on his spot.

He couldn't believe what was going on anymore. He was a hundred percent sure he killed Simon just now.

He exploded the kid to pieces. There was no way regeneration could work, no that he even sensed any spiritual energy from the kid.

Could this be an illusion?

Could it be he had been placed under an illusion.

The villain was terrified on the spot. He had no idea how Simon was coming back to life out of nothing, and why he couldn't sense any energy coming out of Simon, but he was damn angry and he wanted to shut Simon off for good.

"CROCODILE BLADES!!"

"20%!!"

The villain turned insanely to Simon again as he was about to unleash his most powerful attack, but before he could move his hands, Simon was surprisingly standing inches away from him.

'So fast!'

'When did the brat become this fast!!!'

The villain shouted in his mind. Simon speed was too much for him to react to, more like he was taken off by surprise. Simon quickly moved his fist to the villain's face and smashed him hard without holding back.

BANG!

The punch was struck with everything Simon had inside, but it only sent the villain staggering backwards a little. Not more than five footsteps.

The motion caused Simon eyebrows to raise to his forehead. He had never hit someone with that much power before, and yet it didn't even cause a single damage on the villain.

He thought that would cause the villain to fall unconscious or possibly be the end of him.

It seemed he overestimated himself just now. Didn't the system say he was currently at level one.

That's the beginning of every level in a video game.

Not even able to knock the villain to the ground, Simon knew he wasn't strong enough to fight this villian. At least he had to first ensure his sister was safe.

"Emily! RUN!!"

Simon faced Emily and screamed out.

The moment he said the words. The villain appeared inches away from Simon.

"I wouldn't take my eyes off me if I were you."

Before Simon could comprehend the motion, The villain smashed Simon on the chest and the force sent Simon flying to the wall far away.

BANG!

The impact slammed Simon inside the wall and he couldn't move out of it. blood erupted from his forehead and all over his body.

The villain straightened up on his spot as he looked at Simon.

"You know what. Maybe I should kill you sister first before I kill you for real.

Wouldn't that be interesting. It would definitely be the most interesting thing you would ever remember. Oh, pardon me, I am going to kill you anyway. So just live fully in the moment.

Enjoy the present as it passes away in every second."

Simon tried to respond to the villain, but he couldn't. He couldn't move his body and his eyes were in such bad shape that he couldn't even see properly.

It seemed he might still get to lose his sister after all. Without dying, his body wouldn't come back to normal.
