I've lived in Marshall, Texas, all my life. My dad and grandpa own and run the feed store. I am the clerk, meaning that I ring up the items and tell them the price. My mom is the secretary, and my brother helps load products.
I swept the floor and cleaned up around the store. The bell rang over the door. I said the welcoming and continued. "How are you today, Kat?" I looked up and saw Zach enter.
"Same as last month?" I asked him. "Yeah. They always send me on feed runs." "How's the family?" I asked him. "Bucky and Ali are going to have a baby." He told me. "New addition since the twins?"
"Yup." He said before I told him how much it was going to be. "Twelve dollars higher than last month." He mumbled while writing out a check. "If it keeps rising, we'd have to switch brands again."
"Already talked to the boss about it." I texted my brother what brand of feed and how many bags were needed. "You can go help him if you want to," I told him. He smirked and walked out.
I'm just about a year younger than him. He's twenty-two years old, and I'm about to turn twenty-one next week, while he had his birthday last week.
"Zach wasn't flirting again, was he?" "Nope, he wasn't," I told my brother. Did I mention that my cousin is Sawyer and my last name is Edwards as well?
