When school finally ended,Progress, Talia and Eli made their way to the parking lot. The Trio was oddly connected for a friendship that had just started. Eli was the only one who lived in Beacon Hills for his whole life, Talia and her family moved here about 6 months back and now you throw in Progress, who just moved here less than 24 hours back.
As they walked to the parking lot, the warm sun cast long shadows across the pavement. Eli, Talia, and Progress chatted effortlessly, their conversation flowing like they'd known each other for years.
"So, Progress, what's your favorite subject?" Talia asked, her long brown hair bouncing with each step.
"I'm really into history," Progress replied, his eyes lighting up. "There's something about uncovering the past that fascinates me."
Eli nodded enthusiastically. "I'm more of a physical guy myself, but history's cool too. We should study together sometime."
Talia smiled. "Definitely. We can form a study group. It'll be fun."
As they reached Eli's car, Progress glanced around at the unfamiliar surroundings. "So, Beacon Hills, huh? It's...different."
Eli chuckled. "Yeah, it's a small town with its own quirks. You'll get used to it."
Talia leaned against the car, her eyes sparkling. "We're actually pretty lucky to live here. There's always something going on."
Progress raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the hint of mystery in Talia's tone. "What do you mean?"
Eli and Talia exchanged a knowing look, and Eli shrugged. "You'll find out soon enough. Beacon Hills has its secrets."
The trio's conversation was interrupted by the sound of Eli's phone buzzing. He pulled it out, glanced at the screen, and frowned. "I've got to go. My sister's waiting for me."
Progress's curiosity got the better of him. "You have a sister?" he asked, his eyes lighting up with interest.
Eli chuckled. "Technically, she's my cousin, but she insists I call her my big sister. She's always been like a sibling to me, so it doesn't feel weird."
Progress smiled. "That's sweet. I'm an only child, so I've always wondered what it's like to have siblings."
Eli's expression turned nostalgic. "It's...complicated. But I love her to death. She's always getting into trouble, and I'm always getting dragged into it."
Talia laughed. "Sounds like you've got a handful, Eli."
Eli playfully rolled his eyes. "You have no idea."
Talia nodded. "Alright, we'll catch up later, Eli. Progress, Wanna go home?"
Progress hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Yeah."
As Eli drove off, Talia turned to Progress. "So, how's the transition going so far?"
Progress shrugged. "It's...surreal. I keep expecting to wake up and find out it's all a dream."
Talia smiled sympathetically. "I know the feeling. Moving to a new place can be tough. But we're here for you now."
Progress smiled back, feeling a sense of gratitude towards his new friends. "Thanks, Talia. That means a lot."
Later*
Eli pulled up to the driveway of the newly built Hale residence, a sprawling house nestled deep in the woods. As he stepped out of the car, the crunch of gravel beneath his feet was familiar. He walked up to the front door, which swung open before he could even knock.
"Hey, cuz!" Malia Hale exclaimed, her bright smile illuminating the dimly lit porch. She threw her arms around Eli's neck, giving him a tight hug.
Eli chuckled, returning the hug. "Hey, sis. What's going on? You sounded urgent on the phone."
Malia pulled back, her expression serious. "It's just...Ledia had a weird feeling and told me to come check on you guys. She says something's off in town. And yesterday when I came.... I saw some strange tracks near the woods."
Eli's expression turned concerned. "What kind of tracks?"
Malia hesitated. "I'm not sure. They looked...wolf-like, but they didn't quite match anything I've seen before, even the size is off."
Eli's eyes narrowed. "I'll look into it, okay? Maybe we can figure out what's going on."
Malia led Eli to the backyard, the trees casting long shadows in the fading light. She stopped near a large oak tree and pointed to a symbol etched into the bark.
"Look at this," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I found it yesterday near the tracks. It looks like some sort of pack symbol."
Eli's eyes widened as he examined the marking. "This, I've seen something similar in old texts." Malia's eyes locked onto his. "Have you shown this to Deaton yet?" Eli said
Malia shook her head. "I texted him, but he hasn't responded. And with Argent missing and Peter in Egypt, I don't know who else to turn to."
Eli's expression turned thoughtful. "Don't worry, Malia. We'll figure it out. I'll help you research this symbol and see if I can find any connections."
Malia's shoulders relaxed slightly, a hint of gratitude in her eyes. "Thanks, Eli. I really appreciate it."
As they stood there, the howling sound echoed through the woods again, sending a shiver down their spines. Eli's eyes met Malia's, and they exchanged a knowing look ....something was definitely off in Beacon Hills.
The week passed by like a breeze and Progress, Eli and Talia where seen together at school and even outside of school numerous time already. But today was a special day, the trio went to Malias house in the woods for the weekend.
As they pulled up to the Hale residence, the sprawling house nestled deep in the woods seemed to welcome them with open arms. The trees swayed gently in the breeze, and the sound of birds chirping filled the air.
"Welcome to my humble abode," Malia said with a smile, as she led the trio inside.
Progress's eyes widened as he took in the rustic charm of the house. "This place is amazing," he said, running his hand over the wooden banister.
Eli chuckled. "Yeah, it's a bit off the beaten path, but it's home."
Talia wandered over to the large windows, gazing out at the woods. "I can see why you love it here, Malia. It's so peaceful."
Malia nodded. "It has its moments. But sometimes...sometimes it can be a bit too quiet."
As they settled in, Eli suggested they have a bonfire outside, and Malia agreed. Soon, they were gathered around the crackling flames, swapping stories and laughter.
Progress felt a sense of belonging wash over him. He had never felt this way about a new place or people so quickly. But there was something about Eli, Talia, and Malia that made him feel like he'd known them forever. As the full moon rose higher in the sky, the howling sound returned, this time closer and more intense. Eli's expression turned serious, and he quickly stood up.
"Progress, Talia, get inside. Now," Eli instructed, his voice firm.
Malia nodded in agreement. "Yes, go inside. We'll take care of this."
Progress and Talia exchanged a nervous glance, but they didn't hesitate. They ran towards the house, while Eli and Malia stayed outside, facing the darkness.
As Progress and Talia reached the safety of the house, they watched through the window as Eli and Malia stood firm, their faces set with determination.
"What are they doing?" Progress whispered to Talia.
Talia's eyes were wide with concern. "Something you forget after seeing, that's for sure.."
The howling grew louder, and Progress felt a chill run down his spine. He watched in awe as Eli and Malia seemed to be confronting whatever was out there, their movements confident and purposeful.
Eli's body began to shift and contort, his muscles growing stronger and his senses more acute. His face elongated into a snout, and his hands transformed into razor-sharp claws. Eli's transformation into a werewolf was swift and powerful, his body now a testament to his supernatural heritage.
Malia, too, underwent a transformation, but hers was slightly diffrent From Elis. The two shapeshifters stood ready for battle , their eyes glowing in the dark. Eli, the werewolf, let out a low growl, while Malia, the werecoyote, yipped softly.
Progress felt a mix of fear and fascination. He had never seen anything like this before, and he wasn't sure what to make of it. Talia, however, seemed more at ease
Progress and Talia watched from inside the house, their eyes fixed on the two shapeshifters outside. Eli, the werewolf, and Malia, the werecoyote, stood guard, their eyes scanning the darkness.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the trees, its presence commanding attention. A wereWolf, in its Crinos form, stood at an impressive 7 feet tall, its muscular build radiating power and strength. Its fur was a vibrant brown, and its eyes shone with an otherworldly intelligence.
Progress felt a shiver run down his spine as he gazed upon the Wolf. There was something ancient and wise about this creature, something that commanded respect.
Progress's eyes were wide with wonder. "Who is that?" she whispered.
Talia shock her head. "I don't know, but I think we're about to find out."
The Wolf approached Eli and Malia, its movements fluid and deliberate. Eli and Malia stood their ground, their posture relaxed yet alert.
As the Wolf drew closer, Progress could sense its power and wisdom. This was a creature that had lived in harmony with nature for centuries, and its presence was a reminder of the beauty and strength of the natural world.
The Emerald Wolf towered over Eli and Malia, its gaze sweeping the area before focusing on the two shapeshifters. Eli and Malia seemed to be communicating with the Wolf, their body language relaxed and respectful.
Progress felt a sense of awe wash over him. He had never seen anything like this before, and he was eager to learn more about the Wolf and its role in the supernatural world.
As he watched, the Wolf began to move in a slow, deliberate circle around Eli and Malia. Its eyes seemed to be scanning the area, searching for something.
Suddenly, the Wolf stopped moving and raised its head, its ears perked up. Eli and Malia followed its gaze, their eyes locked on to Progress.
Progress felt a sense of tension build in the air. Something was coming, and the Wolf was ready.
