Chapter 15 - Chapter fifteen:Threads of Fire and Blood

POV: Elara, Laziel, Kael

---

> "Not all threads are pulled — some are cut. And when the wrong thread is severed, the whole weave bleeds."

— Seris, the Unbound

---

[Scene: The Hollow Keep — Present Day]

The Spiral Crown trembled on the altar.

Elara reached out for it, hand shaking, her breath ragged from the battle at the ridge. Her body ached, her soul screamed, but the Spiral within her surged.

> "Take it," it hissed.

"You are ready."

But Elara paused.

Kael's absence gnawed at her. His warmth, his silence, the way he looked at her like she was the one rewriting fate. He was missing — and so was Laziel.

Suddenly, the air shifted.

Smoke. Blood. And… laughter.

---

[Scene: Outside the Keep — Laziel's Fall]

Laziel ran through the burning orchard — spiral flares spinning from his palms, panic in his veins.

He'd stolen the Codex again — not for himself, but to hide it. To keep it from whoever was now hunting Spiral-bearers and leaving their threads unraveled, drained.

> "I saw her," he whispered, staggering behind the charred roots of an old starmelon tree.

"I saw Seris. She's not… she's not just alive. She's stealing their essence."

His hand trembled. Blood oozed from his side — not from a wound, but from the spiral brand on his ribs.

It was… burning.

Not glowing.

> "She's rewriting me."

---

[Scene: Temple of Unraveled Whispers]

Kael stood at the edge of a cliff, overlooking a valley filled with burning spiral effigies.

Everywhere he turned, he saw faces from his past — teachers, lovers, enemies — all bound in crimson thread and speaking in Elara's voice.

> "She's changing."

"She is not the girl you loved."

"She is becoming what the moon feared."

But Kael knew the truth.

> "She's becoming what the Spiral needs."

He dropped to his knees before a shrine of shattered mooncrystal.

> "So must I."

He drew his dagger.

And carved a second spiral beneath his heart.

One that matched Elara's. One that would let them feel each other, even across dimensions.

---

[Scene: The Spiral Crown Awakens]

Back in the Hollow Keep, Elara's hand finally touched the Crown.

The room ignited.

Visions poured into her — Myra's eyes, the archive, Seris's scream, Selene's kiss with Kaeron, the fall of the Moon Queen, and the rise of the Spiral Tyrant.

She screamed.

And the Spiral… sang.

> "You have inherited not the will of one queen…

but the war of all of them."

> "Let the blood choose."

Suddenly, the Crown released a burst of golden threads — each one seeking a bearer.

Laziel, far away, collapsed.

Kael's spiral lit up.

And Myra, across dimensions… gasped awake.

---

[Scene: The Choosing]

The threads flew like fire — burning through dimensions.

They stabbed into:

Elara's chest — accepting her as the Spiral's Voice.

Kael's brand — binding him as the Spiral's Guardian.

Myra's mark — marking her as the Spiral's Rebellious Truth.

And Laziel — the Thread-Stealer. His fate… remained locked.

The Crown pulsed.

A new seal appeared in the air above Elara — a trinity spiral, representing all three.

The prophecy had shifted again.

And Seris… watched from the edge of space.

> "You rewrote it," she said softly. "You naive children. You think the Spiral serves you now?"

Her smile was cold.

> "But I wrote the Spiral's ending myself."

---

[Scene: Final Convergence — At the Crossfire]

All four of them — Elara, Kael, Myra, and Laziel — were drawn toward the Moon's Crossfire: an ancient convergence point where threads of past, present, and prophecy meet.

Myra stepped into the valley first.

Kael followed, a trail of gold and fire behind him.

Laziel limped in last — clutching the Codex.

And Elara descended from above, the Spiral Crown glowing on her head, robes made of starlight threads.

They stood at the center, eyes locked.

No words.

Only the weight of every lifetime between them.

And then — the Spiral spoke through all of them:

> "One of you will sever me.

One of you will save me.

One of you will steal me.

And one of you… will become me."
