Su Yalin readily agreed. Wang Cheng, however, was completely stunned. One moment, he was fantasizing about the wonderful time he'd have sharing a desk with Yu Kelan. The next, he was declared to have lost his seat to someone else. For Wang Cheng, this was nothing short of a bolt from the blue. He stood rooted to the spot, not even realizing when Lin Ge had approached.

"Little brother, time to get up, this is my seat." Lin Ge patted Wang Cheng's shoulder, a faint smile on his face. At this moment, the youthful Wang Cheng made it impossible for Lin Ge to associate him with the despicable man who would sell out his wife for glory in the future.

"Aren't you going to sit down in a seat you didn't earn with your own ability?" Wang Cheng gnashed his teeth, whispering. He still wanted to try to provoke Lin Ge into leaving.

Lin Ge smiled, "It smells wonderful here, of course, I can sit down."

"Teacher Su, Wang Cheng he..." Suddenly, Lin Ge raised his voice.

"You win, I'm going!" Wang Cheng frantically pulled Lin Ge back. Not everyone was like Lin Ge, a reborn individual. He still instinctively feared teachers and dared not refuse.

Wang Cheng ultimately packed his things and left. His seat now belonged to Lin Ge. However, his gaze towards Lin Ge already held a hint of resentment.

"I'm a bit hungry, do you have anything to eat?" Lin Ge asked abruptly after sitting down.

Yu Kelan's small face was awkward. She stiffly replied, "No."

This little girl was quite pretty. Even in her plain, old-fashioned school uniform, she exuded a certain charm. Otherwise, Wang Cheng wouldn't have been attracted to her. Moreover, she was only 18 and hadn't fully bloomed. After college, she would completely transform into a beautiful woman.

At this moment, her former deskmate, who was a good student, tried to curry favor with her, and whom she also had a good impression of, was gone, replaced by a deskmate with poor grades. Yu Kelan's mood was naturally not good.

"No? Then what's this?" Lin Ge, while Yu Kelan wasn't paying attention, took the candy Wang Cheng had given her from her drawer.

As if her little secret had been discovered, Yu Kelan panicked, her small face flushing. "Give it back to me quickly." She tried to snatch the candy. But Lin Ge directly unwrapped the candy and popped it into his mouth.

Yu Kelan lunged for nothing and instead stumbled into Lin Ge's arms. This scene was a bit ambiguous. Luckily, Su Yalin was reading from the textbook and didn't see it. However, Wang Cheng, whose seat had been stolen, was no longer in the mood to listen to the lesson. He had been constantly watching Lin Ge's every move. When he saw Lin Ge take the candy he had given to Yu Kelan, his fist instinctively clenched. And when he saw Yu Kelan fall onto Lin Ge while trying to snatch the candy, he instinctively stood up.

"Bang!" The desk loudly scraped from his knee hitting it.

"Wang Cheng, what are you doing?" Su Yalin put down her textbook and asked with a frown.

Wang Cheng was both ashamed and annoyed, lowering his head, not knowing what to say. Was he supposed to say, "The person I like just fell onto someone else, and I'm very angry right now?"

"Wang Cheng, I know you're upset about changing seats with Lin Ge."

"But the teacher has taught you that classmates should help each other. Student Lin Ge wants to improve his studies, so you should be more accommodating. That's a good student relationship, do you understand?" Su Yalin thought Wang Cheng was bearing a grudge about the seat change, so she said this.

"I understand." Wang Cheng swallowed the humiliation in his heart, holding back tears.

"Then sit down." Su Yalin gestured for Wang Cheng to sit down, then continued her lecture.

Su Yalin had a habit of lecturing while pacing around the back of the classroom with a textbook. This was because the students in the back were usually the poorer students, prone to zoning out. The students in the front, who were generally good students, didn't require much supervision. But Su Yalin didn't know that this habit of hers actually benefited Lin Ge.

"This candy was given to you by Wang Cheng, right? What do you think would happen if Teacher Su found out about this?" With the candy in his mouth, Lin Ge smiled playfully.

"What exactly do you want?" Yu Kelan asked in a stifled whisper, feeling wronged. She was the top student in the entire school, a symbol of its prestige, and couldn't afford to make a mistake. If Teacher Su found out, she would definitely tell her parents. If her strict parents mistakenly thought she was in an early romance... Thinking of her parents approaching her with a feather duster, Yu Kelan couldn't help but shiver.

"Seriously teach me to study." Lin Ge proposed a condition.

"Huh, that's all?" Yu Kelan was stunned. She had expected Lin Ge to make some outrageous demand.

"Otherwise? Do you want to..." Lin Ge smiled a little wickedly.

"Don't even think about it!" Yu Kelan didn't know where her mind went. She glared at Lin Ge in embarrassment and annoyance. But she was still trustworthy: "I can teach you to study, but I refuse to answer any questions outside of academics."

"Deal." Having achieved his goal, Lin Ge smiled faintly.

With the Check-in System, academic performance actually wasn't that important to Lin Ge anymore. However, Lin Ge still decided to study and pass the Tsinghua/Peking University admission line or something, to make up for the regrets of his previous life and experience being a top student. But in the end, Lin Ge's university choice would still be Chu University. There was no other way; if he didn't choose Chu University, his life path would deviate, and he wouldn't meet many people. Let alone save them.

"Let's start with Chinese." After class, Lin Ge took out his first-year Chinese textbook and turned to the first page. As a person who had lived two lives, the last time Lin Ge touched a high school Chinese textbook was 37 years ago. The knowledge in the textbook had long been completely forgotten, so he naturally had to start learning from scratch.

Yu Kelan: "…"

"Are you crazy? You want me to teach you first-year knowledge points?" Yu Kelan was on the verge of frustration. She thought Lin Ge would just ask a few questions. Who knew he wanted her to teach him from the very beginning? She also had to study; if all her time went to Lin Ge, what would she do?

Lin Ge calmly said, "If you're unwilling, then forget it. I'll just go talk to Teacher Su about the milk candy."

"You, come back, I'll teach you." Yu Kelan gritted her teeth and called Lin Ge back. At the same time, she felt a bit resentful towards Wang Cheng. "Why did you have to send a milk candy for no reason?" "Now look, someone's got leverage, and I've really become a little white rabbit at their mercy."

Lin Ge sat back down. Yu Kelan hung her head and began to explain the first-year Chinese knowledge points to Lin Ge. A top student was indeed a top student. Her explanations were insightful and to the point, with clear knowledge points. And for Lin Ge, who had photographic memory, learning was naturally twice as effective.

"Understood, you can turn to the next page." As soon as she finished explaining, Lin Ge told Yu Kelan.

Yu Kelan didn't mind Lin Ge's tone, but she was somewhat suspicious of his words: "You really understood?"

"Understood." Lin Ge nodded.

"You said it yourself; don't blame me for not explaining clearly later." Yu Kelan pouted and turned to the next page.

Time flew by. Five minutes passed. Over twenty pages of first-year Chinese had already been covered. On every page, as soon as Yu Kelan finished explaining, Lin Ge would say he understood and tell her to turn the page. At this point, Yu Kelan was completely convinced that Lin Ge was just showing off. After all, learning at such a fast pace and fully grasping all these knowledge points was something even she couldn't do.

"I'm hungry." Suddenly, Lin Ge stood up. "Going to the tuck shop to buy some food." Then, much to Yu Kelan's bewildered amusement, he walked out of the classroom door.

"This guy isn't here to study at all." Yu Kelan closed the Chinese textbook, muttering. But if he wasn't here to study, then what was he here for? Was his goal the same as Wang Cheng's? Yu Kelan's expression turned a bit strange.

"Kelan, that scoundrel Lin Ge didn't bully you, did he?" With Lin Ge gone, Wang Cheng seized the opportunity and quickly slipped over.

"No." Yu Kelan shook her head.

"Kelan, I know you're just saying that to comfort me."

"Don't worry, I'll definitely convince the teacher to get rid of that scoundrel. Then, we can sit together again." Wang Cheng whispered his assurance to Yu Kelan.

But these words, to Yu Kelan, sounded a bit odd.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Who wants to sit with you?"

Seeing Yu Kelan's slightly flushed face, Wang Cheng smiled. When a girl blushes and refuses, it's usually just embarrassment; deep down, she must like him. This was something he had learned from a book. Now it seemed Kelan's affections were still for him.

"Lin Ge, don't think I don't know what you're thinking."

"You stole my seat, and it's all because you're eyeing Kelan.""But you don't know, the only person Kelan likes is me.""And you, an ordinary student, are never even in Kelan's eyes.""Compared to me, you've already lost." Wang Cheng thought triumphantly.

"Kelan, I know Lin Ge snatched that candy from you; it wasn't you who gave it to him. I won't misunderstand you.""I have another candy here. Quickly eat it to replenish your sugar."

He lowered his head, saw no one was paying attention to him, then placed a candy on Yu Kelan's desk before nonchalantly returning to his seat.
