Chapter 1 – The Man Who Fell from the Sky
Boom!
A thunderclap shattered the silence of the heavens. The sky above Misty Cloud Peaks twisted into a stormy purple, dense clouds swirling like a cosmic vortex. A single bolt of golden lightning slashed through the sky, tearing it apart—not to strike the land, but to open it.
From that jagged tear in the sky, a figure tumbled downwards, like a meteor cast out by the gods.
He plummeted through clouds, mist, startled spirit birds, and layers of thin spiritual fog, trailing fire and light behind him. The mountains didn't tremble. No grand formation reacted. No heavenly elder opened his eyes.
The world simply watched.
Crash!
He smashed into the forest floor near the edge of a secluded valley. Trees trembled from the impact. Birds scattered in all directions. A few small spirit beasts shrieked and ran away, fur raised.
Smoke curled into the sky.
In the center of the shallow crater, a young man lay unconscious. His black robes were torn at the sleeves and shoulders. His face was bruised, dirt smudged across his cheek, but his breathing was steady.
His eyelids twitched.
"Urgh…" he groaned, coughing. "My head…"
He slowly opened his eyes. A faint golden glow shimmered in his pupils. He blinked rapidly and looked around. Towering trees surrounded him, their bark glowing with faint spiritual runes. Strange flowers blinked softly, pulsing in rhythm with the wind. A winged squirrel glided from branch to branch, chittering.
"…Nope. Not Earth," he muttered.
He sat up with effort, rubbing his temples. "Last night I was in my bed. I remember checking my phone. Then… I dreamed of lightning? Or did I—"
> Ding!
[Welcome, Host, to the Supreme Disciple Acceptance System.]
[You have transmigrated into the Lower Realm. Your primary objective: Accept six disciples.]
[Each accepted disciple will trigger a divine reward.]
[As of this moment… you are Invincible in the Lower Realm.]
Lin Mo froze.
"…Wait. What?"
He looked up at the sky, then around the strange forest again.
"Did I just get isekai'd?"
> [System Integration Complete. Further instructions… temporarily locked.]
"Locked? No tutorial? No menu? Not even a beginner gift pack?"
Silence.
"…You there, System? Hello?"
No response.
"Tch. Great. I get lightning'd out of my room and dumped into fantasy world 101 with a budget system."
Still rubbing his head, he stood up. Surprisingly, his body didn't hurt at all. On the contrary, he felt… light. Energetic. Alive. He threw a punch forward just to test.
Bang! A nearby stone split in half.
He blinked. "Well. That's new."
He took a deep breath. The air was dense with spiritual energy, richer than anything he'd ever felt or imagined. With a half-smirk, he glanced up at the golden clouds above.
"Okay then. New world. Mystery system. Invincibility. I'll play."
He stepped forward confidently.
---
Far from him, deep in the Spirit Vein Sect's forest trail...
A young girl in torn inner disciple robes staggered forward. Her arm was bleeding, her sleeves soaked with red. Dirt clung to her pale cheeks, and a cut ran down her jaw. She gritted her teeth.
In her trembling arms lay a small spirit fox, blood matted around its hind leg.
Behind her, two outer disciples in the sect's brown robes laughed cruelly.
"You really think you can protect that beast?"
"You broke sect rules, Luo Yixue. Spirit beasts belong to the elders. That fox isn't your pet!"
Luo Yixue pressed the fox against her chest protectively. "She saved me during training… I won't let you take her!"
One of them scoffed. "You're bleeding and cornered. Give it up."
He raised his hand, spiritual energy gathering in his palm.
A loud crack rang out.
Thwack!
A stone struck the back of his head.
"Oi, junior goons," a voice called lazily. "Did bullying little girls become an official sect tradition or what?"
The two disciples looked up.
A young man stood on a tree branch above them, arms crossed, a half-eaten wild fruit in his hand. His black robes fluttered slightly in the wind. His long hair was messy but his posture was relaxed, confident—annoyingly so.
"Who the hell are you?" one of them barked.
Lin Mo grinned. "Lost tourist. Fell from the sky. Literally."
The angrier disciple lunged at him, drawing his blade.
Lin Mo didn't move.
He flicked his finger.
Crack! The blade shattered instantly.
The man screamed and flew backward into a bush.
The other disciple paled.
"You can fight too," Lin Mo offered, stretching casually.
The second man grabbed his unconscious friend and bolted into the woods.
Lin Mo landed softly in front of the girl. "You alright?"
Luo Yixue stared at him, eyes wide. "Y-you…"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm handsome. Heard that before," he said, crouching. "What's your name, little fox guardian?"
"…Luo Yixue."
"Nice name. I'm Lin Mo. Just crash-landed."
She looked down at the spirit fox. "They… wanted to take her. But she saved me. I couldn't just leave her."
"Mind if I try something?" Lin Mo asked.
She hesitated, then nodded.
He touched the fox's leg. A soft golden glow emerged from his fingers.
The wound slowly closed.
Luo Yixue gasped. "T-that's advanced healing…"
"Nah," Lin Mo said, standing. "It's just me."
---
An hour later…
At the outer gate of Spirit Vein Sect, an old elder in white robes with a long beard stared down at Lin Mo.
"You say you're a wandering cultivator?"
"More like a falling one," Lin Mo replied. "Gravity introduced me to your lovely sect."
The elder squinted. "You have no detectable cultivation."
"That's called stealth," Lin Mo said confidently.
Luo Yixue stood beside him. "Elder Qian… he saved me. Please let him stay. Just for one night."
The elder stroked his beard thoughtfully. "You may rest in the guest courtyard. But any trouble, and you will be thrown out."
"I'll behave," Lin Mo said with a smile. "Scout's honor."
---
That night…
Lin Mo lay on a wooden bed inside the small guest courtyard room. The walls were thin, but the night air was cool. He stared at the ceiling, deep in thought.
"Six disciples… Huh. Sounds easy on paper. Wonder what kind of rewards this system gives."
> [System Notice: First Disciple Candidate Approaching.]
[Bond strength: 25%]

[Congratulations. First Divine Reward Unlocked.]
[Reward: Indestructible Origin Body – Activated.]
[You are now immune to all physical damage within the Lower Realm.]
Lin Mo sat up.
His body shimmered briefly with a soft golden light before returning to normal.
"…Okay. That's… pretty useful."
A soft knock came from the door.
He opened it.
Luo Yixue stood there with a cloth bundle in her hands.
"I brought this," she said quietly. "Some steamed buns. You helped me. I wanted to… say thank you."
Lin Mo took it with a smile. "Thanks, kid."
She hesitated, then asked, "You're not really a wandering cultivator, are you?"
Lin Mo winked. "What do you think?"
---
Far away, deep within the Spirit Vein Sect's sealed chamber...
A pair of ancient eyes opened in the darkness.
The elder's lips moved in a whisper.
"A golden light from the heavens… the world trembles… has he arrived?"
Chapter 2 – The Girl and the Golden Bond
---
Crack!
A flash of violet light danced across the sky as dusk descended over the Spirit Vein Sect's forest borders. The mist had thickened, curling around the trees like ghostly fingers.
Beneath the canopy, Luo Yixue limped deeper into the woods, clutching the wounded spirit fox close to her chest. Her robes were soaked in blood, her breath uneven.
She staggered.
But didn't stop.
Behind her, two figures closed in like hunting wolves—both outer disciples, their eyes cold with mockery.
"You've really grown bold, Luo Yixue," one said, his spiritual blade dragging along the stones with a grating sound.
"Stealing a spirit beast from the elder's list? You want to die that badly?"
The fox whimpered weakly. Luo Yixue gritted her teeth. "She saved me once. I won't let you take her."
The second man smirked. "Then you can die with it."
He lifted his hand—and a blazing orb of Qi formed above his palm.
But before it could launch—
"You guys again? Man, I can't even nap around here."
A sigh drifted down from above.
The attackers looked up.
A young man in black robes reclined lazily on a tree branch, biting into a strange glowing fruit. Lin Mo.
Luo Yixue's eyes widened. "You…?"
The disciples growled. "You again! Who even are you?!"
Lin Mo chewed. "Falling cultivator. Friendly neighborhood stranger. Part-time lightning magnet."
"You dare interfere with sect matters?!"
"Dare?" Lin Mo raised an eyebrow. "You lot were about to kill a girl for defending a fox. I thought this was the Spirit Vein Sect, not the Sociopath Bootcamp Sect."
"Die!"
One disciple lunged, blade glowing.
Lin Mo didn't move.
He just exhaled.
Boom!
A pulse of invisible pressure erupted from him. The attacker froze midair—and then was blasted backwards into a tree. Wood cracked. The man didn't rise.
The second one paled. "Y-you're hiding your cultivation—"
"Wrong," Lin Mo said, smiling.
"I don't have any."
The man turned and fled like a dog.
---
Luo Yixue stared at him. "T-thank you…"
Lin Mo dropped down beside her, crouching to look at the spirit fox.
Its breathing was shallow, leg twisted unnaturally. Blood soaked its fur.
"May I?" he asked gently.
Luo Yixue nodded, hesitant.
Lin Mo touched the fox.
Suddenly—

A golden aura flowed from Lin Mo's palm into the fox.
Luo Yixue watched, stunned, as the bleeding slowed and the wound stitched itself back together with threads of glowing light.
"You… that's not normal healing… That's—"
"Magic fingers," Lin Mo said, grinning. "It's a secret."

Later That Night – Spirit Vein Sect Guest Courtyard
The night wind was calm. The courtyard lanterns flickered gently. Crickets chirped.
Lin Mo lay on the wooden bed, arms folded behind his head.
He stared at the ceiling.
"Still can't believe it," he muttered. "I got struck by lightning, woke up in a fantasy world, beat up a couple thugs… and now I'm apparently invincible?"

"Unknown…?"
He stared at his hand. It shimmered for a brief second with divine radiance, then faded.
"…Huh. I guess that's normal now?"
He stood and punched the wooden pillar.
Crack!
The pillar shattered—but his fist didn't even sting.
"No way…"

"Huh?! 1000 years?! Wait, so I've been cultivating in my sleep?!"
Silence.
Lin Mo muttered, "Damn budget system. I want a refund."
---
A Soft Knock
He opened the door.
Luo Yixue stood there, cheeks slightly flushed, holding a warm steamed bun.
"I… I brought this. You didn't eat dinner, right?"
Lin Mo smiled. "Thanks, disciple."
She blinked. "D-disciple?! You mean…"
He placed a hand on her head.
"You're mine now. So don't worry. Anyone who messes with you from now on…" He grinned. "...dies."
Luo Yixue's eyes widened.
But her heart felt warm.

Elsewhere – Spirit Vein Sect Main Peak
In a high chamber lit by glowing talismans, a woman in pure white robes gazed into the moonlight.
Her long black hair danced in the wind. Her aura was boundless—powerful enough to make the world tremble.
The Sect Leader narrowed her eyes.
"That fluctuation earlier… That presence…"
She whispered, "Who has descended upon my sect?"
