High in the sky, shooting through the sunlit evening, A ball of flame crashed through the atmosphere and streaked above various settlements and large civilizations. High above sandy deserts and sharp, spear mountain ranges—to a lively, lustrous forest, a village embedded right in the heart of it.
Four faces stared stoically on the side of a mountain cliff overlooking the village—The shooting star finding its home just within the forest range atop the cliff.
With an earth-shaking rumble that sent waves of violent vibrations through the nearby city, alerting the shinobi on guard and eliciting a scout team to already be on the move.
Dust rose from the impact. The Earth recovered instantly, the vibrations ending as soon as they popped up. Stirring amid all that debris was a man dressed in an all black body suit—One that fit him perfectly and left little room for adjustment. Light, auburn locs flowed from his scalp—A matching goatee parading his lips.
His eyes were onyx—Reminiscent of the very night sky that threatened to triumph over the sun. The man didn't move—Eidolon stayed his hand as he raised his own to the sky in surrender.
"I mean no harm." He begins, his tone traveling through the atmosphere like a wave of pressure. The nearby shinobi that tried to hide—Be it in the earth or by masking their presence within the forestry around them, Eidolon had sensed them all the same.
A moment of silence passed between the two parties before the hidden Shinobi relented.
By now, the dust had settled quite serenely, giving way for Eidolon to see the old man approaching him. His eyes flashed with recognition, Sarutobi Hiruzen. I guess I'm at the beginning of Canon. He hummed silently.
Dressed in his traditional Hokage cloak with Jonin battle attire underneath, Hiruzen narrowed his eyes harshly at the intruder before him. His Anbu was at the ready for any sudden movements.
"…Who are you? Where do you come from, stranger?" His questioning wasn't out of Eidolons' expectations. The man took a step out of his pit, much to the distress of the nearby men.
Hiruzen narrowed his eyes further, scrutinizing the man past just his physical stature. Eidolon had known better than to flaunt his power, not that it mattered. As he was right now, he couldn't take down Hiruzen, let alone the other characters within the village.
"My name is Eidolon—" he paused, glancing around as he took yet another step closer. Drawing Hiruzen's hand. "Right there is close enough, young man." Eidolon nodded.
"You have every right to be suspicious of me—But I swear, I'm not here to harm you or your village in the slightest." His words were truthful, but eventually, your Jinchuriki is mine.
Hiruzen hummed, his suspicion was strong—Rightfully so. Eidolon didn't pay it much mind; he had his way with things, and he wasn't too worried about Hiruzen turning him into an enemy.
All I need is a place to call a base during my stay here. He mentally noted. He knew that anywhere he set base would immediately become the center of an unending, powerful vortex that would change the course of this world's history.
His eyes darted around the group—I need to get permission to enter the village before Danzo shows up… He will only make things more complicated for me. He couldn't deny the golden opportunity he was given, landing literally at the edge of Konoha.
"Eidolon, you said?" Hiruzen steps forth, closing the distance a little more. The height difference between the two was significant—Hiruzen stood at about 167cm while Eidolon stood at 188cm.
The latter looked down upon the Hokage, not out of disrespect, though. Eidolon nodded to the elder's question. His gaze flickered around behind the Hokage and the Anbu. Eyes peeled for any other recruits.
Ah! That's Iruka… Kurenai… Kakashi and Gai! That's cool, I always wanted to meet these guys… He kept his excitement to himself; he would never fanboy over idols in person. That's lame.
"Where do you come from? People don't usually fall from the sky and survive. What are your intentions?" His gaze fell even harder.
Eidolon paused a moment before speaking—The truth probably wouldn't make sense, but It wouldn't hurt to mention universal visitors. He hummed mentally. This world already inhabits one. His mind conjures images of a certain Alien in hiding somewhere within the lands of Shinobi.
"…I am what you would call a Traveler." He began, throwing all pretenses out the window as he decided truth would be better than an unnecessary lie.
At his words, he visibly sees the eyes of the Hokage, Kakashi, Gai, Kurenai, Asuma—And various other characters he barely recognizes. Oof, it's been a minute. He shakes his head.
He didn't mind their skeptical, impatient expressions, pressing his story further. "I come from outside of your known universe—Here to quell the influence of a foreign God." As the words left his mouth he couldn't help but understand the hesitation to believe his own words.
"Come with me." Hiruzen said all before turning around, and a squad of Anbu surrounded Eidolon—All under the intention of escorting him. Eidolon didn't mind; he played along.
"Sure thing." He responded accordingly, noting the various estranged and wide eyes full of disbelief. Murmurs of doubt spread across the acting group.
Doubt Eidolon didn't mind having spread amongst the village.
. . .
The journey to the Hokage's office was swift and well executed—Their path was concealed from any public eyes. The fiery red governmental building was jampacked to its core with shinobi of the highest calibre. Eidolon noted the numbers—This really is the time of peace at the beginning of Naruto.
As he was escorted to his seat within the Hokages office, the various jonin were forced to wait outside; Told to be on standby in case anything happened.
With stern gazes and eyes that glistened with unshakable curiosity—Kakashi, Might Gai, Kurenai, Asuma and even Shikaku walked the busy streets of Konoha with conflicted eyes.
"A traveler from outside of our… Universe?" Gai mumbled, his own thoughts getting swept up in the vastness of it all. Kakashi sighed, shaking his head dispondently.
"…We, as a village, just barely recovered from the nine-tails attack… Now this?" He was honestly exhausted. Kurenai and Asuna hummed to his words.
"Obviously we know that this is top secret information." Asuna began, his stern gruff voice followed by the ill-scent of cigarette smoke garnering the notoriety of his companions.
"The knowledge of space is a sensitive topic—Not much is known about it, so it's completely possible." He reasoned. "Exactly the thing we're worried about." Kurenai added. To which Kakashi, Gai and Shikaku hummed in agreement with.
"…Well whatever the Hokage makes of it—I'm sure we'll know soon." Shikaku spoke, his hollowed eyes and drawled tone pulling their attention. "We are only apart of this simply because we responded faster than the rest. Expect a personal letter or conversation telling us to forget about it all in just a couple days time." He paused, huffing humorously.
"That would actually be best… This whole situation is already a drag on my mental." He sighed. Kurenai shook her head vexedly but kept quiet—She always found Shikaku' nonchalant act and lack of interest in difficult things to be immature.
"Yeah, you're probably right." Kakashi agreed.
The group paused just in front of a well known bar within the Hidden Leaf—Shushu-Ya. Narrowly dodging exiting intoxicated pedestrians with well gained finesse and valor, the group entered—Their discussion halted as they found their seats and ordered drinks.
"Ah! Another hard mission?" The bartender asked, his eyes visibly perking up with pleasant energy upon seeing the group laze on in. Gai flashed a bright smile, throwing a thumbs up—"Haha! No! We're just hanging out as a group of friends—In the name of youth!"
Asuna stepped away from the guy, Kakashi sighed, placing a hand on Gai's shoulder as Kurenai stepped forth—Shikaku had already found seating, figuring that his companions knew better than to not buy enough drinks and eats for the lot of them.
"Unfortunately, it's what Gai said." She scoffed, elicting a hearty chuckle from the Bartender—A man the group knew to be Hirochi Monagi. Tossing a bag of Ryo on the counter she smiled thinly—her eyes portraying just how distraught she really was.
"The usual, Ojii-chan—Keep the change. Think of it as an early apology." Hirochi smiled backed, already turning to get busy on their order all the while shooing them away. "No worries! Y'all just enjoy yourselves, okay?" Kurenai nodded, saluting him with two fingers as she stalked over to the group already situated.
Just what is going on… She mused, her thoughts drifting as the group sat in silence—At least until their drinks came along…
. . .
HOKAGE OFFICE.
"I'm telling you, Hiruzen. This shit doesn't get any realer than this." Eidolon's voice dominates the room, his usage of the Hokages name irking the silent ninjas hiding within the shadows. Hiruzen himself sat leaning forward, elbows on his desk while his face is hidden behind his hands—His eyes gazing predatoraly over Eidolon.
The dark-skinned man in question simply reclined in the chair, his carefree attitude and foresight all played into messing with Hiruzens mind. While Eidolon wasn't lying, a man merely saying that after falling from the sky is obviously warranted for suspicion—Regardless, he's guilty of a universal law—One he had come to learn about during his many various lives.
World Intrusion.
Luckily for me nobody here is aware of that. Eidolon happily mused.
"Eidolon, was it?" Hiruzen leans back, his eyes as sharp as ever. "What… Universe do you originate from and can we expect more of you?" His fingers tapped the desk rhythmically. Eidolon didn't break eye contact—His face a perfect mirror of stoicism as he forged his lie instantly.
"I come from a Universe known as Origin-1. Located within the first sector of the Multiverse." He started. His new, broader term brought a flash of worry and insecurity through the Hokage's eyes. "Though, unfortunately, that Universe has fallen—It no longer exists." Silence permeated the room, and Hiruzen's gaze intensified. "…A whole universe—Just gone? What do you mean? How is that possible?" Eidolon smiled, leaning forward.
"Ah, I would love to answer your questions, but I know just how valuable information is." He grinned, showcasing sharp canines and his love for play. Hiruzen's jaw clenched, his eyes hardened, and he picked up his pipe. Sharply inhaling a cloud of smoke only to release it.
"What do you want?" He finally replied. To which Eidolon shrugged. "Leeway. Leave me alone while I'm here, provide me with resources—Trust me, it will be in this planet's best interest, let alone this nation's." He held up a hand with two fingers extended, "And lastly, let me operate here. At least for the moment. And anything you want to know, I will answer."
A chuckle elicited from the front of the room—Quickly wiping the confident smile off Eidolons face. "While it does interest me in learning about the universe and whatnot—Do you seriously believe that such curiosity would render me blind to the threat you still are to everyone within these village walls?" He leaned backwards, pipe in hand—His chakra flaring just slightly, enough for Eidolon to begin feeling its pressure.
He raised a brow—Impressive, even I felt a little tingle. He prided himself in his own energy control and quality. Hiruzen picked a brave battle—One that Eidolon will not acknowledge just yet.
"It's a simple bargain, but your requests intrigue me." He shook his head, "But no dice. I will not agree to such things." Eidolon hummed, Wow, he's a bigger dick-head than I remembered… Was he ever like this?
However, in his seat, he kept his thoughts to himself. "Fine. Then what are your parameters?" He relented his offensive approach—Guess I got carried away. He sucked his teeth, drawing an amused smile from the old patriarch.
"You will disclose to us everything you know, and in turn you will receive proper lounging, monitored freedom around the village, and as our relationship builds, I will see what it is we can then begin doing for you, mister Eidolon." He smiled brightly, his eyes smiling in tandem. Victory was written all over his face—And he was right. Eidolon scoffed and muttered, "Ridiculous…" before agreeing.
Hiruzen brightened immediately. Rising from his seat with his hand outstretched. "Perfect! I'm glad we could come to an agreement, Eidolon. I'm sure this partnership will be resourceful for us both." His words didn't mean squat to the Traveler. He simply rose, shook the mans hand and stepped aside.
"Just show me where I will be staying." His irritation no longer hidden behind his stoic facade. Hiruzen hummed, clapping his hands once. Eidolon wasn't surprised when an Anbu member arrived instantly. "Bring me, Kurenai." The member nodded and disappeared—Leading to Hiruzen sitting back at his desk.
"In the meantime, I hope we can discuss this… influence you mentioned earlier."
Eidolon hummed.
