Time flies, and in what seems like an instant, five years have gone by.
Warren is now five years old. As the youngest in the family—well, not entirely, as he has a younger sister named Alena, who is just over two years old and three years his junior, having been named by Warren himself and affectionately called Lena.
Alena is a strikingly beautiful little girl. She shares her brother's light golden eyes and inherited her mother's brows and features, but unlike Warren's silver-white hair, hers is a rich brown. Her cheerful nature often prompts Draco, who is also five, to visit Shafiq Manor daily.
Warren contrasts with his sister: when it's quiet, he prefers solitude and often engages in solitary conversations. This behavior has raised concerns for the Shafiq couple, as Warren harbors a secret—there's another being residing within him.
This peculiar situation began when Warren was three, sitting alone in the back garden engrossed in his father's magical history lessons. As the future head of the family, he felt pressured to dedicate himself to family responsibilities at the cost of his leisure time. It was then that he spotted a shining star in the daytime sky, which suddenly struck him, leaving him unscathed but sensing a shift within himself. That evening, he heard a voice in his mind: "Sorry, kid. I've taken over your body."
"Who are you?" Warren asked, perplexed.
"How do I explain? Have you heard of the Immortal world?"
"Wait, are you an immortal? But why are you speaking English?"
"Of course! Have you heard of the immortals?"
"A little. They're akin to wizards but are called Taoists. They supposedly become immortals when their powers reach a certain level."
"True, immortals appear ageless, yet they can still die. Continuous cultivation is essential to achieve that higher existence."
"Let's pause that discussion. What's your name? How did you end up here? And why are you in my body?"
"I'm called Daoist Lingxu. I accidentally ended up here after a battle while I was injured and found your body suitable for recovery. Don't worry; I'll depart once I heal without causing you harm." Thus, the immortal Daoist Lingxu inhabited Warren's body. In gratitude, he taught Warren some minor spells from immortal world, like controlling the five elements, strictly on the condition that he must not reveal his presence. Following this, Warren would often close his eyes in his free time to converse with Daoist Lingxu.
Through their discussions, Daoist Lingxu discovered the existence of a boy called Harry Potter in this world. After some initial shock, he reasoned that this was an alternate reality, explaining why the brainwaves of this universe were somehow connected to those of J.K. Rowling in another dimension, leading to the creation of the Harry Potter series.
Essentially, Daoist Lingxu was a time traveler, inadvertently exposed to a second prehistoric world and ultimately arriving in Warren's world due to a tear in time and space.
One day, Warren was summoned to his father's room by the house elf, Obi. After a brief conversation, Brian opened the door and said, "My dear son, to better prepare you for your future, I have decided to send you to the Muggle world to study so that you'll receive support at Hogwarts later."
"Okay, Father, I understand," Warren replied.
Consequently, Brian utilized his title as an earl in the Muggle realm to enroll Warren in elementary school. After each school day, Warren would visit his godfather, Severus Snape, at Spinner's End and return home on weekends. Upon learning that Severus was Warren's godfather, Daoist Lingxu thought to himself, "This strays from the narrative."
At Spinner's End, it was customary for Warren to receive exclusive magical training from his godfather, yet for some inexplicable reason, Snape's specialty in Legilimency failed to penetrate his godson's mind. "With me, Daoist Lingxu, how difficult could it be to master a little Occlumency?" he mused. Warren had learned this long ago from him. Every session, under Daoist Lingxu's guidance, Warren would manage to psych out Snape, leaving him baffled by how his godson could know his private matters.
On one particular day, the school decided to restructure the classroom assignments.
Warren was moved to a new Class 1. During this transition, a girl with a sturdy voice, large front teeth, and thick brown hair approached him. Understanding the landscape from Warren's perspective, Daoist Lingxu recognized her right away. While she appeared charming in the films, she was merely a minor character in the original story—Hermione Granger.
"Hello, is anyone sitting here?"
"No, please take a seat."
"Hi, I'm Hermione Granger."
"Hello, I'm Warren Shafiq."
"Oh my gosh! Are you the Earl of Shafiq?"
"He's my father."
"Quiet, class is starting now."
Mrs. Smith entered the room. Stern and perhaps in her forties or fifties, she believed that strict teachers produced high achievers. Warren, who viewed himself as a top student, felt only average among his peers. It was disappointing! After three years, Warren had shown remarkable bursts of magical talent, indicating he was fit for Hogwarts. By practicing breathing style and Martial arts, he gained confidence in harnessing his magical skills.
With the encouragement from Daoist Lingxu, Warren and Hermione grew closer, also thanks to Mr. Granger's influence. As Warren entered the awkward stage of losing teeth, Mr. Granger skillfully fixed his dental issues, alleviating a worry for Brian. Now, Brian leveraged his earldom to promote the Granger Dental Clinic since multiple dental practitioners in London had shut down due to dwindling business. Many flocked to the Granger clinic at 31 Ralph Street, leading to Mr. Granger's newfound riches, enabling him to acquire a yacht and plan an undisclosed vacation to France with his wife, keeping it hidden from Hermione.
One day, Warren arrived at school only to find Hermione absent. He called in sick and headed to Ralph Street. Mr. Granger, busy with work, informed him, "She's upstairs; I hope you're prepared." Daoist Lingxu immediately understood—Hermione must have experienced a magical outburst.
When he knocked on the door, he was taken aback by the disarray inside. The room was a mess, and Hermione lay on the bed in tears. "Hermione, are you alright?"
"Warren, I feel… I feel like a monster."
"Look at me—you're not a monster! You've merely had a magical outburst just like I did. You need to learn how to control it. Come, I'll teach you."
Over the next few days, Warren explained the intricacies of the wizarding world to Hermione, helping her reclaim her composure.
