MAHIRA'S POV
Work is exhausting like really exhausting. Sometimes I had to go on unannounced trip's to make business deals and most of the time I had to check the departments in other countries. Angelo and Alexander were not much of a problem. They were naughty, playful and stuff but they'd never do something that could lend me or themselves in danger. They were risk taker's and did risky things and always got injured because of that.
As for Thane I should be feeling sorry for him but im feeling sorry for myself because I can't get the pleasure I want. Well I have to consider that he's a cripple therefore no sex at all. It's not like I was enjoying giving him a cold shoulder. Anyway I'm in Korea with Angelo and Alexander. We left Thane with Adamsen. Angelo and Alexander went with their uncle Leo. He offered to spend the day with them so Kaashvi and I stayed behind.
Kaashvi," how's your relationship with Thane? Did you decide to fix things with him or move on with Adamsen?"
Mahira," Kaashu you know that I'll always go back to Thane no matter what. I agree he made a few mistakes and stuff but he apologized."
Kaashvi's face turned bitter as if she was drinking whiskey but she wasn't drinking anything.
Kaashvi," Wow! I never imagined you'd be such a fool. If he can hurt you once he can do it again. What he did is punishable by law. Why do you stay with a man like him when someone as wonderful as Adamsen is by your side huh? Mahira he's sorry because he knows it's his fault but if Angelo or Alexander dies tomorrow and someone blames you don't you think he'll do it again. Don't you think he can do it again if he's provoked. I don't understand why you are being so stupid."
Mahira,"people change Kaashu. If Leo treated you the same and you had a child wouldn't you go back to him if he apologized?"
Kaashvi,"No! I wouldn't go back to him. It proves how little his trust in me is. It proves that he will only be by my side only when there's light in my life. I don't want that kind of relationship. Just because we have a kid doesn't mean he can waltz back into my life as if he did nothing. Men like that deserve to be in prison because if he can do it once he can do it twice. That's undermining a woman's love and strength and right now your son's may look up to their father. What if they become abusive only because they saw their father doing it and they think it's right?"
Mahira," Kaashu what are you even saying. Everyone deserves a chance. Everyone deserves a second chance."
Kaashvi," if you marry him and reconcile with him don't expect me at your wedding. If you marry him consider me dead. If you marry him then our friendship will end. If everyone dies and you are blamed then deal with the torture to come. If you reconcile with him then our friendship will end that day."
Wait I must be hearing wrong. Is Kaashvi willing to end our friendship only because of this.
Mahira," what the hell? How could you say this? Are you going to let such a minor issue end our 17 year old friendship. You are going to end our friendship for what....to see me unhappy?"
Kaashvi," Yes! I will end our 17 year old friendship without a second thought if you go back to him. I hate Thane with everything in me. He nearly ended your life. His lack of trust nearly cost your life Mahi. Just because he's crippled you pity him. Are you even sure he's crippled or he's just pretending?"
Mahira," what are you trying to say here. What are you implying that he's lying. That he faked his accident. Why would he do that?"
Kaashvi," for your affection. For your attention. Surviving a jet crash is almost impossible. And even if it was,he would've been completely blown to smithereens. My hatred for Thane will never die. And you know what I will stand as your shield and protect you from him even if you don't realize it."
Mahira," Thane wouldn't do that. I trust him and if that means ending our friendship then so be it."
Kaashvi," you are going to choose Thane over me?"
Mahira," Yes. Do you know why? Because you are talking like someone who doesn't believe in love. You know how much I had to sacrifice just to get him and if it means sacrificing my friendship with you then so be it."
Kaashvi slapped me.
Kaashvi," you are making a huge mistake. It hurt's that you trust Thane more than me. But go ahead...go to Thane. Go to the man who will hurt you...go see how well he is without you. Do me a favor leave the kid's here. Please. And go away. I'll bring them."
Kaashvi threw me out but everything she said was ringing in my head. Why would Thane fake his injuries when he could've easily asked for my forgiveness. I booked an immediate flight to London. I got there the next night it was about eight o'clock. I ran into the house and what I found was Thane standing on his two feet with a huge smile and Adamsen as well. There were about 20 bottle's of whiskey. It hurt that he wasn't crippled like he acted. I just wanted to question him but then they started talking.
Adamsen," you are so close to winning her back. Soon enough she will be your wife. Sitting on that wheelchair must be tiring huh."
Thane," thank you bro. If it wasn't for your help I wouldn't have been able to fake my injuries and pretend so much."
Adamsen," of course. Im close to her and death brings people closer. All you have to do now is pretend that the therapy is helping you and you can walk."
Thane," I feel guilty for lying to her but it's worth it because I gained her trust and love back."
I couldn't hear more. Kaashvi was right but I ended my friendship with her just for him. I trusted him. What's worse is that both him and Adamsen planned this from day one. It was all a lie. Everything I saw was a lie. Such a big betrayal. I called Kaashvi and after five rings she picked up.
Kaashvi," what do you want? Didn't you end our friendship? What is it?"
Mahira," Kaashu... Kaashu you were right... you..."
Kaashvi," Yes I was. But you are stubborn. Let Angelo and Alexander stay with me while you sort thing's out okay."
With that Kaashvi hung up. I felt like a fool. It started raining badly outside but I couldn't stay in the house. I went to a park nearby and sat on a bench under the rain. I couldn't stop the tear's from falling and the rain drenched my clothes completely. I ended up falling asleep on the bench.
