Monsters.
They eat people.
But they're not animals.
Not humans either.
They're just… monsters.
But why?
Why are they like this?
Where did they come from?
It wasn't God who made them.
Then who did?
The answer's kinda simple:
Humans did.
Yeah.
People created the monsters.
This world is already cold, already hard.
But people?
People are worse.
Jealousy.
Greed.
Pride.
Those are the things that turn into monsters.
Before I tell you about those vampire-like creatures in this story,
you need to understand one thing:
The real monster… is humanity.
People lie.
They hurt others.
They act like gods when they get power.
And they break everything around them—
even the people who love them.
But they never stop to ask why.
Yes, God made humans.
But these monsters?
We made them.
With our own sins.
And all of it started…
Because of one man.
He saw the truth.
He saw what people really are.
He wanted them to suffer for it.
He believed the world should pay for what it did.
And now…
He doesn't care who gets hurt anymore.
Even the innocent.
To him, their death means peace.
A way to free them from the pain of living in this broken world.
---
This story is about five strangers.
They were living their own lives, in different places.
But one terrible moment pulled them together—
and everything changed.
---
The Main Characters:
Kenzo & Luca – Best friends from Turvya.
Kenzo's loud, funny, always smiling.
Luca's the quiet one. Smart, serious.
Ming Liu – A businessman from Xianya.
Calm on the outside. Hurting on the inside.
Akiko – A gentle, soft-spoken writer. Lives alone in Japan.
Sofia – A shy girl from Indora.
Goes to the same university as Kenzo and Luca.
---
Meilun, Xianya –
The afternoon sun was bright.
Ming Liu sat at his office window, just staring out.
He looked calm…
But inside, his heart was heavy.
Knock knock.
"Come in," he said quietly.
His assistant, Weijie, walked in with a little smile.
He started reading out the day's plans—
Meetings, events, things to do.
The usual.
Ming nodded, but didn't really listen.
His thoughts were far away.
With his younger brother, Kai, back in Dalia.
Kai had a weak heart since he was little.
Ming always worried about him.
He also thought about his dad…
The man who walked out when Ming was sixteen.
Left them for another woman.
Never came back.
Ming sighed.
"That's all," he told Weijie.
The door closed.
He looked at his phone.
His mom had sent him a bunch of messages.
All saying the same thing:
"Did you eat?"
It was 2 PM.
He hadn't eaten anything.
He replied:
"Okay. I'll eat."
Then leaned back, looking up at the sky.
---
Dalia, Turvya –
It was morning—around 9.
Luca stood outside Kenzo's house, arms crossed.
Waiting. Annoyed.
Kenzo finally ran out, buttoning his shirt.
Late, again.
"You're always late," Luca muttered. "We'll miss class."
Kenzo just laughed and grabbed his friend's arm.
"Come on, bro! We'll make it!"
They got into the car.
Kenzo drove fast—too fast.
"Slow down!" Luca yelled.
"I wanna go to class, not die on the way!"
Kenzo smirked.
"I won't crash… until I find you a wife."
Luca rolled his eyes.
"Not funny."
They reached university.
Their teacher, Mr. Emil, stood at the door.
Not happy.
His eyes were sharp—like they'd committed a crime.
Kenzo gave a nervous grin.
Luca went straight to his seat.
In the same class, a girl sat near the window.
Sofia.
She saw them walk in and smiled just a little.
Then looked down at her notes.
It felt like just another normal day.
But good days never last long, do they?
---
Back in Xianya –
Ming's phone rang.
He picked it up.
"Hello?"
His mother's voice was shaking.
She was crying.
"I just got a call… Kai… your brother… he's gone."
A heart attack.
Ming froze.
No… no way.
Kai was more than a brother.
He was everything.
The only family left after their dad disappeared.
Ming bit his lip.
He didn't want to cry in front of his mom.
"We're going to Turvya. Right now."
He moved fast.
Visa. Flights. Changed his whole schedule.
Told Weijie to handle the company.
When he got home, his mother hugged him tight.
She cried in his arms.
"Mom… pack your things. We leave tonight."
She nodded, still sobbing.
That night, on the way to the airport,
she sat quietly… crying the whole ride.
---
11 hours later –
They reached Dalia.
The city was quiet under the night sky.
But to Ming, it felt… cold.
Empty.
They took a bus to Kai's home.
His wife, Sarah, opened the door.
Her eyes red from crying.
She hugged Ming's mom and broke down again.
Two small kids ran out.
Luna and Liam.
They saw Ming—and just ran into his arms.
"Uncle Ming!"
They were crying too.
Inside, the house was full of people.
Everyone grieving.
Later, Sarah gave Ming a notebook.
"Kai… told me to give this to you," she said.
Ming took it slowly.
Didn't open it.
Just stared at the cover.
He sat in a corner, holding a photo of his brother.
His eyes burned.
But the tears didn't fall.
---
A few weeks later –
Ming's phone rang again.
"Hello?"
It was William—his friend and business partner.
"Ming! Big news! A top company in Japan wants to meet you. Can you go next week?"
"Japan? That soon?"
"It's a huge opportunity. Don't miss it."
Ming looked at his mom.
She gave him a small nod.
He took a deep breath.
"Alright. I'll go."
---
Meanwhile –
Kenzo and Luca got an invite.
A wedding.
Their friend Koji's sister—Aki—was getting married.
Funny thing—
Aki was Sofia's best friend too.
So she got invited as well.
The wedding was in Japan.
Next week.
Kenzo was excited out of his mind.
Luca didn't show it, but he was kinda happy too.
Sofia? Nervous… but also looking forward to it.
Kenzo called his dad.
"Can I go?"
His dad sounded tired. "Yeah. Go. I'm busy."
He hung up.
Kenzo laughed.
"He said yes! Luca, your turn!"
Luca went home.
His dad looked up from the newspaper.
"Japan? Sure. Go."
Luca smiled a little.
Went to his room.
All three of them—Kenzo, Luca, and Sofia—started packing.
Getting ready for the trip.
But something felt… off.
Like it was too perfect.
---
A week later –
They were all on the same plane.
Kenzo. Luca. Sofia. Ming Liu.
They didn't know each other.
Not yet.
They were strangers.
Was it fate?
Or something else?
They landed in Tokyo.
The city was glowing with life.
Kenzo looked like a kid in a candy shop.
Luca shook his head.
Ming already looked tired of the noise.
Sofia laughed watching them.
Then—
BOOM.
An explosion.
The airport… blew up.
Fire. Smoke. Screaming.
Everything vanished.
The whole city… gone.
Only ten people were left standing.
Among them—Kenzo, Luca, Sofia, and Ming.
Sofia whispered,
"What… just happened…?"
Then things got worse.
Some people still had phones.
They were heating up.
Then—
Bang!
The phones exploded.
Five more people died instantly.
The rest threw theirs away just in time.
Silence.
And then—
A sound.
A child.
A small boy knelt next to his mother's body.
"Mom… wake up… please, wake up… I'm scared…"
His tiny voice echoed in the smoke and ashes.
And then—
A laugh.
A cold, twisted laugh.
"Ha ha ha…"
It wasn't a joke.
It was the beginning…
of a nightmare.
