"AH!" The unknown woman who was lying flat on the ground screamed, feeling a burst of shock flowing through her.

She frantically got up and jerked her body, looking around herself, trying to comprehend what was going on.

"Eh..wha-

"The heck! Who's talking?!" The almost crazy looking woman looked around herself again.

Before she could ask the mysterious voice again-

A blue hologram screen suddenly appeared before her as she skidded back a bit in shock.

"What's going on?! Where am I?!" She exclaimed as she gripped her hair.

A sudden feeling of dread washed over Evelyn as she frantically caressed her skull. It was surprisingly intact. There were no bruises on her body nor any pain making her uncomfortable.

"What in the holy shit is going on? Am I dead? Am I dreaming?"

Evelyn tried her hardest to remember what was going on. If she remembered correctly, the ugly ass guy beat her to death, so how was she alive and at a- wait.

Evelyn looked around. She was inside a forest of some sort. Familiar-looking trees stood tall, swaying back and forth in the serene wind into an ominous dance. Birds chirped happily, but the forest undoubtedly somehow crept into her cowardly heart.

[User 02 has been pitied by the Gods and transmigrated to another universe, to the user, similarly known as 'My Protectors']

The name sounded familiar to Evelyn's Otaku heart. Then suddenly it clicked real quick, and she did not doubt believing what might've been going on.

Her mouth hung open in shock.

"The game 'My Protectors'?"

[Seems User 02 isn't that dumb after all-

"Excuse me? You, whatever you are, are the idiot one here to just spout some nonsense without any proper explanation in the first place."

Evelyn rolled her eyes at the system before looking at the hologram screen again. A deep sigh escaped her lips as she scratched her neck.

The god pitied her, yes but to be transmigrated into a game she hated was the last thing she wanted.

She hated the game mostly because of the main leads: Avis Toures, the female lead, and her harem of male leads: Maximus, the manipulative prince; Killian, Avis's perverted mentor; Arthur, the stalker 'bodyguard'; and lastly, Shipan, the demon queen's 2nd sister's fiance.

In Evelyn's opinion, everybody in that godforsaken story was either with permanent mental disturbance or just straight up born with a disgustingly cunning nature. And the female lead?

The good old naive, idiot with no self-respect, okay with getting taken advantage of, kinda girl. And of course, she's a commoner with an unusual 'talent' that she only uses at the novel's end to help the male leads take over the world.

Evelyn's mood soured by just thinking about it. Irritation crept through her, pissing her off.

"I'm done being pushed around. Since I'm here, might as well beat those male leads before they can get stronger."

Nonetheless, she thought of a name to type in the holographic screen.

"Hmm. Let's just put my in-game name here....okay done."

The screen took in her name and logged her into the interface.

[Welcome to 'My Protectors', Isadora. Please select your race]

Isadora stared at the screen, deep in thought. This felt more like an RPG open-world system than an otome system. Nevertheless, she tried to remember everything she could about the game. Carefully selecting a race was, after all, very important if she wanted to survive this world.

There were three races: Humans, Dragons, and Demons, each race having its own benefits. For example, Humans were advanced in technology, so, despite having less capacity to store mana, they were able to wield immense power artificially.

Demons were physically strong, fast, and could store large amounts of mana; however, wielding human tech took a large amount of their mana.

Moreover, to have better control of any power took special training. If in any way a demon is drained of his mana, he dies, which doesn't apply to humans.

On the other hand, dragons can fly, breathe fire, but don't have the concept of mana. However, they have extraordinary craftsmen whose creations sometimes hold greater power than that of Demons and Humans.

However, every race has a few exceptions, such as the Demon Regals, Human Royals, and Dragon Magnificents, who were blessed by the gods themselves.

But what caught Isa's eye was a fourth option in the drop-down box.

"Hybrid?"

Now that she thought about it, she did read somewhere, probably from the game's lore books, that in old times, hybrids of humans and demons or humans and dragons or a hybrid of three would live in a secluded place in harmony, out of every kingdom's grasp.

They didn't want wars over small things like the three main kingdoms, despite wielding immense power. However, no ruler wanted these overpowered beings, stationed anywhere in case they finally decided to take over their kingdom.

So, joining hands with the other two kingdoms, the human Royal Rulers at the time guided an expedition to slaughter them, and the rest was history, praising him as a patriotic, brave warrior.

But a dark truth was buried deeply beneath the shadows of manipulation.

'What a joke.'

"I guess, I now know who to take revenge for."

Isa grinned as she chose the option she wanted.

[Are you sure you want to choose 'hybrid'? You cannot change in the future]

She tapped yes, and almost instantly, a small horn pierced right out of the right side of her head. Isa groaned as her eyes almost watered in pain.

Blood red freckles erupted on her cheeks like allergies, as vibrant electric blue like scales emerged like waves on her left arm, almost having the appearance of an ethereal tattoo.

A new interface revealed itself before her. It showed her overall character design. She was excited to admire her new look, but what surprised her the most was,

"Why's my face like my previous life's?!"

Her eyes widened.

"Wait there's no way I'm just an extra who got their body transported from a different universe and not a reincarnation of some hot chick..."

'I'm not even in the story...'

She sighed in a defeated tone but at least, she looked a bit cool with the vibrant scales and a goated horn.

Huffing one last time at the joke the Gods had played on her, she checked her details.

[Level: 1

Name: Isadora

Race: Hybrid

Element: Manipulation

Stats: Healing bonus]

"Manipulation? What's that?"

Isa checked the element details and her eyes widened in shock as well as a smirk threatened to creep on her lips.

'I can manipulate all the elements, hehe now that's fun.' She thought, scratching her invisible beard in amusement.

She went to the skills bar and found a lot of locked skills.

"Damn I have to level up to at least 100 to unlock some of these?"

So, she lowered her standards and looked for skills she could unlock at the time.

[Level up to 10 to acquire 'Eye Of Perception']

[Details: A skill that helps a noble to enhance his senses and see the weaknesses of his foes]

"That looks good, I guess."

Isadora finally closed the holographic screen and stretched her body. She was so damn ready to beat this world.

But then a thing crossed her mind, how was she supposed to level up again?
