POV: Bunny
She had ignored him for most of the day.
No teasing. No sarcastic remarks.
Not even a fake eye-roll.
And yet… she couldn't stop noticing him — the way his sleeves were rolled up, the way his voice dipped lower when he said her name, the way he waited for her eyes to meet his across the room.
They didn't.
Until the elevator ride.

Scene — Office elevator, evening
Just the two of them. Long silence. Button 12 lit up.
> Aarav (softly): "I missed talking to you today."
Bunny (crossing arms): "You had all day."
Aarav: "You didn't want me to."
Bunny: "That's not an excuse."
He turned to face her fully. The elevator chimed at floor 8, but neither moved.
> Aarav: "Do you remember what I said the day I left?"
Bunny (looking away): "You said you'd come back."
Aarav: "I also said I'd wait for you to remember me."
> Bunny: "Well… I remember everything now."
Aarav (softly): "Then let me earn my place again — as him. Not just as Unknown."
Her breath caught. His voice, his nearness — it felt like something she wanted to run from and into at the same time.

Later — apartment kitchen
She made tea. He walked in behind her, too close.
She turned to hand him a cup, and their fingers brushed.
She didn't pull away.
> Bunny (softly): "You can't charm your way out of everything, you know."
Aarav (smiling): "Then tell me how. I'll do it your way."
Bunny (whisper): "Start by not leaving."
Aarav (serious): "I wasn't planning to. Not again."
Their eyes held for a beat too long.
Something cracked.
Something softened.
But neither moved.
