Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: When Handsome Met Broken

✨ A Message She Almost Missed

New Year in Banaras had its own kind of chaos—loud aartis, temple bells, family selfies, and crowds that made you dizzy. Siya was surrounded by hundreds of people, but somewhere inside her, she still carried the silence from everything she had endured. Love wasn't on her mind. Not after everything. Not after Rupesh. Not after learning how temporary everything felt. But destiny doesn't knock. It crashes in.

It started with a simple message. "Happy New Year 😊." From an unknown number. So she ignored it. Days passed. A week, maybe. Then, out of nowhere, she remembered it. Opened her inbox, smiled faintly, and replied, "Happy New Year 😊 sorry for the late reply." She didn't know… that reply would change everything.

💘 Enter Ruhan

The boy's name was Ruhan.

There are boys you like, boys you flirt with, and then there are boys like him—who make your heart stop just from their profile picture. That perfectly messy hair, his lazy smile, those stupidly adorable eyes. He wasn't just handsome. He was heartbreak waiting to happen.

And Siya? She couldn't stop looking.

He lived barely 2 kilometers away. So close, yet somehow they had never crossed paths. Maybe the universe was saving the best for now. Every day, their chats grew longer, deeper. They skipped online classes just to talk. He was in 11th. She was in 9th. They had school and exams, but none of it mattered when he typed, "What are you doing?" Because suddenly, talking to him became the most important thing in the world.

🌼 Falling… Softly

They talked about silly things—favorite food, TV shows, zodiac signs. But also deep things—fears, dreams, past scars. Siya found herself telling him things no one else knew. And he? He listened like she was poetry. Like every word she said was his favorite line.

He wasn't forcing anything. He wasn't pretending. He was just real. And in a world full of chaos, real felt magical.

⏳ Five Minutes Felt Like Forever

Then came February.

Her final exams were near. But all she could focus on was him.

That day, out of nowhere, he texted:

"I like someone… and I'm planning to propose her today."

Everything inside Siya froze. Her fingers. Her thoughts. Her heart. She smiled through it and typed:

"Go ahead! All the best. She's lucky."

But inside? She was shaking. Wishing. Praying.

He replied, "Just wait 5 minutes. I'll propose her and message you after."

Five minutes. What a curse.

Her heart whispered one thing over and over again: Please let it be me…

Then, her screen lit up.

A message. No name. Just poetry.

🌹 Roses are red,

💙 Violets are blue,

💬 I wanna tell you something…

💖 I love you.

Siya's heart exploded. Her whole face turned pink. She screamed into her pillow. She didn't even think before replying:

"I love you too 🥺💗💗💗"

💖 The Love She Deserved

It was the best day of her life. Better than topping any exam. Better than any birthday gift. Better than anything anyone had ever said to her.

For the first time, someone didn't just understand her—they chose her. Not because of pity. Not for fun. Not by mistake.

He chose her… on purpose.

That night, she didn't sleep. She smiled at the ceiling, hugging her pillow like it was him. Her cheeks hurt from smiling too much. Her heart? It was flying.

Siya—the girl who had only known shadows, silence, heartbreaks, and bruises—had finally met a boy who lit up her entire sky with a simple text.

And this wasn't obsession. This wasn't desperation.

This was the kind of love that made you believe in everything again.

This was the moment Siya stopped waiting for someone to save her.

Because now… she had someone who wanted to build a world with her.
