"Nagwon!!!"
A frantic high-pitched voice screamed. It was intertwined with agony and despair.
"Nagwon! Where are you?"
In a tree whose branches were thick with life and almost touched the sky, whose roots seemed to make a walking hazard on their own, sat a little boy on one of the highest limbs. He had sun-kissed skin, lightly curled black hair and chestnut brown eyes. On his left arm was a gory fresh carving of a moon and on his right was an equally gory carving of a sun.
The boy giggled.
⛧ Enough games. Your Eomma is worried sick about you.⛧ A soft feminine voice echoed in his mind.
Ψ Let him have his fun Sunshine, he needs it after last night. Ψ A smooth deep voice responded in his mind as well.
⛧I don't want to hear it Moonshine! You caused him to cut himself last night. He wasn't ready! He still isn't. He's only 8 years old! You know they can't afford another psychiatric stay.⛧
Ψ Treacherous woman! Fine! Nagwon, you can stop hiding since my wife wants to nag again.Ψ
"Eomma-"
The tall and lithe woman snapped her neck up with so much force she winced but it was quickly replaced with fear when she saw where her child was located..
"Nagwon!!! That's so high up! Get down from there! Right now! Oh no, I might have to call the police again!"
She began to pace and almost tripped over the root and fell into the little lake that was apart of their backyard. This lake was filled with many fun adventures, most of the memories with Sunshine and Moonshine. However his Eomma always went fishing with him, or canoeing, or just swimming in it with the massive fish called "Ovarcees". They were swimming right now in a circle. The blue and white gills with hints of red shimmering in the sunlight.
Ψ Watch her start to ball out crying. In 3…2…1-Ψ
His Eomma sniffled and began to whimper in sadness.
"Eomma loves you! Why do you do this to me? Why do you do this to Eomma, eh?"
ΨHeh-hehΨ
⛧Moonshine, it's not funny! I'm going to stop messing with you if you continue to do this!⛧
Ψ Oh please. You can't resist me. I'm too handsome. Besides, you love the chaos sometimes.Ψ
⛧The keyword being sometimes. Help Nagwon get down. Since you helped him get up here.⛧
♋︎ You guys stop arguing in my head. Why don't you do the thing called fucking. Doesn't that help?♋︎
"Nagwon! Please come down from there!"
Nagwon's mother kneeled on the soft earth. The grass and bugs itched her chalky knees. She kneeled underneath the boy, as accurately as possible.
"Come. I'll catch you. If you break a bone I'll call a doctor!"
⛧Please don't jump. Just climb down slowly. Climb down just like how Moonshine taught you to climb up. Be careful of the animals lounging on the branches. Especially those birds. We don't need you getting pecked again.⛧
Alike to an orangutan Nagwon scaled down the tree with grace and fluidity.
In his eyes ,as he scaled down, he caught glimpses of the sun, he could even see the moon from the other dimension. So beautiful, so gorgeous how wonderful life was, what a paradise. His small bare feet touched the ground, the cool sensation of grass giving him the sense of comfort and familiarity of when he was younger.
His mother, waiting for him to safely reach the ground, hugged him tightly. Her calloused but soft hands rubbing back and forth across his back.
"Nagwon, please, I just want you to stay safe, why is it that you always do something that I fear the most?" her voice broke at points.
The little boy held on loosely to his mother's arms. He felt bad but didn't at the same time. He knew he would be fine, what was she so worried about?
"Don't worry Eomma, I'm safe. Don't cry. Besides, I have the Sun and the Moon! I'm unstoppable!"
