Chapter 1 - The End... and the Beginning

Rain fell gently, drizzling through the dimly lit streets. Li Xuan, a young man in his early twenties, walked under the flickering glow of a streetlamp. In his right hand, he carried a plastic bag with hot soup; in his left, his smartphone.

He glanced at the screen and smiled. "Mom, I just picked up the soup. I'll be home in a few minutes." He hit send and sighed as he crossed the road, unaware that these were his final steps on Earth.

'Life is simple... but it's mine. As long as Mom and my sister are safe, nothing else matters.'

Then—time froze.

Blinding lights. A screeching brake. A brutal crash.

And then—

Silence.

…A strange place.

No pain. No body. No sound. And yet... he was aware. More alert than he had ever been in his life.

'Am I... dead?'

He didn't have time to process the thought. A strange warmth wrapped around him. It was like he was submerged in thick liquid—soothing yet suffocating.

And then he began to see—no, witness:

Dragons soared across burning skies. Fire consumed mountains. People flew above the clouds. Gods fell from their thrones.

At the center of it all, a voice echoed—deep and ancient:

"Your vessel has been chosen. From today, you are the Heir of Chaos."

'Wait... What? An egg? Chaos? Is this some kind of weird dream?'

Then— The shell surrounding him cracked.

...

Deep within a misty forest under a moonless sky, a purple bolt of lightning struck the earth. At its center was a massive black egg, its surface glowing with strange runes.

It split open, and a baby boy emerged.

Cold silver eyes.

No cries. No tears. He simply sat there, calmly observing the world for the first time.

On his forehead appeared a faint mark—an unopened third eye. Mysterious symbols shimmered around it, dangerous enough to shatter a person's soul if seen. Then, the symbols vanished. The eye sealed itself. The remnants of the eggshell turned into light and began to swirl around the baby, feeding into his body.

...

Not far from there, a man stumbled through the trees.

Li Tian—bloodied and beaten—looked like he had just survived a deadly battle.

A flash of lightning drew his attention.

"Was a treasure just born...? Heaven knows we need something... anything to survive."

He limped toward the light and came upon a crater surrounded by splintered trees.

"What the... A child? Where's the treasure?"

He stepped closer, eyes narrowing at the infant.

But instead of finding a treasure, he found a child. And in the air—an ancient, unyielding energy pulsed.

He reached out carefully. The child didn't flinch.

Then something miraculous happened. The energy around the boy began to heal Li Tian's wounds.

"Impossible... My wounds—they're gone? Even my cultivation... it feels stronger."

He stared at his own hands, then back at the baby. A feeling bloomed in his chest—something he hadn't felt in years. Hope.

"You may be a miracle... or a curse. But it doesn't matter. From this day on, I'm your father."

He wrapped the baby in his tattered robe and held him close.

"Your fate is beyond me. But I'll give you a name, a home."

"I'll call you... Li Xuan. A good name for an extraordinary child."

He smiled faintly, the first smile in a long time. Then looked up at the night sky.

"Please... let this not be another mistake."

... Inside the child's mind:

[System Initialization: Inheritor of Chaos – 5% Complete] [Earth Memories Restored] [Third Eye: Temporarily Sealed] [Host Capabilities: Temporarily Locked] [Qi Cultivation: Not Detected] [Core System Functions: Temporarily Disabled – Host Unfit for Activation]

Though unconscious, Li Xuan's soul stirred. He knew, deep inside— This was a new life. In a new world. And it wouldn't be a peaceful one.

...

Li Tian brought the baby to a remote village—the Li Clan, a small and humble family at the outskirts of the city.

He was welcomed into a modest home. At the door stood a beautiful woman with soft features, tied-back brown hair, and a mature, curvy figure. Her expression mixed firmness with warmth. This was Lin Yao, Li Tian's wife.

'Damn... she's beautiful. That's his wife?'

"You're back? Didn't you say you'd stay home this week? Don't forget you have a daughter—and who's this child? Did you cheat on me?!"

Li Tian chuckled, scratching his head.

"It's a long story. But he's not what you think. I'll explain everything later. Just... please take care of him. He hasn't eaten."

Lin Yao studied the baby, then took him gently into her arms.

"He's... adorable. Those eyes... he seems healthy. Alright, little one. Let's get you fed."

As they entered the home, Li Xuan felt something he hadn't felt in a long time. Warmth.

In the days that followed, he met the rest of the family:

– A gentle mother. – A big sister named Li Xin, about a year older. Short, curly-haired, playful and chatty. – Li Moyan, the grandmother: elderly but graceful, strict in tone, kind underneath. – Li Ting, the aunt: tall, curvy, sharp-featured, in her mid-thirties. – Li Ning, the aunt's daughter: 5 years old, shy at first, with silver eyes and a soft voice.

Inside, Li Xuan watched quietly.

He felt drawn to them all... as if part of him wanted this life to last forever.
