Jimmy raised his right hand and fired the shotgun with a loud "Bang!" It hit the python's body, causing it to shriek. But the snake didn't stop; it lunged at Jimmy once more. Without hesitation, Jimmy rolled out of the way, but now the massive python was on top of the boat.
Jimmy fired another shot, hitting the python again. "Gaaah!" The snake, despite its injuries, ignored the pain and charged at Jimmy. Jimmy quickly jumped down from the boat's roof, with the python hot on his heels.
He dashed into the cabin, and the python coiled itself around one of the boat's support beams, trying to bite him.
In a split second, Jimmy dropped to the floor, rolling away. He quickly looked up and saw the snake still coiled around the pillar. A flicker of hope appeared as he raised his right hand and fired a bolt from the crossbow, which was tipped with tranquilizer.
At the same time, he fired his gun.
The giant python shrieked in pain, its body recoiling. Jimmy took a few breaths and slowly emerged from the cabin.
He scanned the area cautiously. His left eye, which could detect infrared, didn't see any signs of the snake. He sighed in relief.
Furrowing his brow, Jimmy thought for a moment and then returned to the storage area beneath the boat.
"Life or death, it all depends on this!" Jimmy muttered to himself. He had no confidence at all!
"Boom!" Suddenly, the boat shuddered, followed by a second, stronger shake. Jimmy immediately realized that the giant python was back!
"Gaahh!" Another roar echoed, and the snake's head emerged from the hole in the boat's wooden floor. By the time the snake had pushed through two meters, Jimmy quickly cut the rope from a nearby pillar.
The heavy objects tied to the rope fell with a crash, hitting the giant python's body. Jimmy quickly fired his gun, but it only hit the snake's body!
At that moment, the snake fully emerged from the hole and glared at Jimmy.
Without thinking, Jimmy raised his left hand and fired the crossbow. This time, the bolt struck the python's eye! "Gaaah!" The giant python let out another furious cry, becoming even more agitated. It immediately lunged at Jimmy.
Jimmy wasn't stupid—he knew that if the snake wrapped around him, it would be the end! He quickly dodged the snake's bites and coils, running toward the exit.
When he reached the exit, Jimmy grabbed a bottle and, without hesitation, threw a metal can at the snake.
The python was hit and roared, charging at Jimmy. Jimmy quickly aimed and fired twice at the can. It exploded, igniting the warehouse. "Gaaah!" The giant python shrieked, startled, and tried to slither back into the hole, but the warehouse was already filled with flammable materials and fuel that Jimmy had poured earlier.
Instantly, the warehouse was engulfed in flames!
But Jimmy couldn't relax. He noticed the snake was still ramming the walls, trying to escape. Jimmy raised his gun and fired, but none of the shots were fatal.
"Gaahh!" The snake broke through the floor and escaped. The fire slowly started to die down and didn't spread as expected.
Jimmy sighed helplessly and ran back to the boat's top. He checked his weapons—his shotgun only had four shots left, his revolver had two, and the crossbow had eight arrows.
Time passed, and three hours later, the giant python still hadn't appeared. Jimmy remained vigilant, not daring to lower his guard!
Finally, he spotted the snake once more. Under the moonlight, he saw a flash of energy darting toward him. "Boom!" Before he could react, the giant python slammed into him, knocking him off the boat's roof and onto the deck.
"Gaah!" The snake roared angrily, continuing to assault the boat. Jimmy quickly got up and fired at it, but missed. Just then, he was struck by the python's tail, knocking him into the water.
Panicked, Jimmy struggled in the water but quickly realized it only reached his chest. He raised his hand, but his crossbow and shotgun were both lost.
The giant python's head turned toward him, staring intently. Jimmy nearly wet himself, but strangely, the snake only glanced at him for a moment before turning back to attack the boat.
Jimmy froze. The snake had just passed so close that it could have easily devoured him! He furrowed his brow, realizing that the python hunted based on heat signals. It likely couldn't sense him right now!
Jimmy quickly noticed something strange—his body temperature had dropped significantly upon contact with the water. Even his left eye showed an unusual color in the infrared.
Watching the snake still attacking the boat, Jimmy slowly lowered his head, submerging himself in the water and remaining perfectly still. After a while, the python stopped attacking the boat, slithered into the ship, and then came back out, wandering nearby in the water.
During this time, Jimmy stayed motionless in the water, applying mud to his face as a precaution.
By the time dawn broke, the snake had finally left. Jimmy let out a breath of relief. There had been several close calls, and he had narrowly avoided being caught! Once he was sure the snake had gone, he climbed out of the water, his limbs feeling limp after soaking in the cold water all night.
