Mount Justice was carved into stone and mystery. Kael's first steps inside made the air taste different—tech, ozone, something alien.
Robin (Tim Drake) greeted him first, casual but alert. "New recruit?"
"Test case," Nightwing added, descending from above. "Batman says you're something special."
Kael didn't respond.
Superboy glared at him from across the room, arms crossed. Miss Martian offered a friendly smile but didn't approach too closely. Artemis raised an eyebrow and leaned toward Nightwing. "This one's gonna blow something up, isn't he?"
Kael didn't know why they looked at him that way—like a bomb with a timer ticking down.
Then the training began.
They started light. Obstacle course. Drones. Combat sims.
Kael passed every test… until Superboy challenged him to spar.
