Chapter 162 - CHAPTER 25: PEACE

The battlefield was quiet now. The sun bathed the broken land in warm golden light, washing away the blood and shadows of the long night.

The heroes—bruised, scarred, but alive—sat upon the cracked earth, gazing at each other in disbelief, joy, and quiet relief.

They had done it.

Sahiru, seated on a shattered stone, let the breeze wash over him. A tired smile spread across his face.

For the first time in years… he felt peace.

Zenitsu, trembling with laughter and tears, shouted,

"We're alive! WE'RE ALIVE!"

Inosuke punched the air,

"I knew it! I told you all! I was gonna gut that Muzan freak!"

Kanao, quietly giggling beside them, wiped her tears.

A few feet away, Obanai and Mitsuri locked eyes.

No words were needed.

He reached for her hand—she clutched it tightly.

Sanemi turned to Genya, blood still dripping from their wounds.

They didn't speak, but exchanged a fist bump. The moment meant everything.

Gyomei, breathing slowly, wiped away quiet tears, his huge form trembling with emotion.

Muichiro stood beside him, for once without the mist of confusion—just clarity and peace.

"You did great, Master Gyomei."

"So did you, child."

A little farther, Giyu sat next to Shinobu, their swords laid beside them.

She chuckled.

"Still brooding even in victory, Giyu?"

He gave the faintest smile.

"Not today."

Then, all heads turned.

Running footsteps—light, frantic.

A voice called out.

"TANJIRO!"

He turned, eyes wide.

Nezuko.

She ran straight into his arms, crashing into him with tears streaming down her cheeks.

He caught her, lifting her in a spin, laughing and crying.

Her skin glowed under the sun.

Human again.

She was finally back.

Everyone watched in silence, overcome with warmth.

Zenitsu collapsed to his knees.

"She's human! SHE'S HUMAN!"

Inosuke blinked.

"Does that mean she can eat boar now?"

Kanao just smiled through her tears.

The wind rustled gently.

The battle was over.

Muzan was gone.

The Demon Slayers sat together under the rising sun, survivors of hell, witnesses to the end of an age.

And in the sky above, for just a moment, it felt like the ones they had lost… were smiling down at them.

Peace had returned to the world.
