Chapter 1 - The Journey Begins

(Before reading.English is not my primary language so I made artificial intelligence translate it for me so if you find any spelling mistakes please excuse me)

"My name is Mohin, and today I turn 19 years old."

In a world where people awaken special abilities, and where skills and talents determine your destiny.

Mohin, with his strange red hair, lived in a remote village with his sister in an orphanage.

He had always felt trapped in that village—he longed to see the world. His greatest dream was to become a hunter and an adventurer.

Now, he could finally pursue that dream, as one of the conditions for becoming a hunter is being at least 19 years old. It's a very dangerous profession, and not just anyone can take it on.

Mohin rushed to the man who had cared for him since he was a child.

"Mr. Rail! Mr. Rail, I've turned 19!" he said joyfully.

"Calm down, calm down, Mohin. What's the rush? I can't believe that the little boy who used to challenge everyone in fights is now an adult."

Mr. Rail was a man in his sixties, with a white beard and a nearly bald head.

"Didn't we agree, Mr. Rail, that when I turned 19, you would let me go to Hunter's City for the hunter admission test?"

"Yes, we agreed on that. But are you sure about this? What will your sister say?"

"It's okay. She knows this has been my dream for a long time."

"Alright, I'll prepare a carriage for you. You go talk to your sister."

"Okay."

Mohin went to his sister's room and knocked on the door. He entered and saw her deeply focused on using magic. He approached her, and when she saw him, she was startled.

"Didn't I tell you to knock before entering?!"

"I di—"

"No, you didn't. Do you think it's okay to walk into a girl's room without permission?"

"I came to say goodbye."

"…What?"

"I'm going to Hunter's City today."

"Really? Don't tell me you're doing this because of Sain."

"Of course! He's my role model and the reason I fell in love with the idea of becoming a hunter."

"Well then, goodbye, my foolish brother."

"And here I thought there would be a little more drama—hahaha. Goodbye, sister Noon."

(Sound of the door closing)

(Sound of crying)

"I-I didn't think I'd actually cry…"

Sain—he is the only SS-ranked hunter. His talent is also SS-ranked.

The reason Mohin admires Sain so much is because Sain saved Mohin's village from a notorious group of bandits who called themselves The Earth's Shadow.
