Chapter 9 - Chapter Nine: The Despised Nick Fury

"Sir!!!"

At that moment, the previous agent holding the Alaskan Malamute spotted Pichu watching them from the stairs. Shocked, he quickly raised the anesthesia net gun in his hand and yelled loudly.

Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and the other agents also changed their expressions slightly, turned around quickly, and looked sharply in the direction of the stairs.

The next moment, they saw the living Pichu.

Except for Nick Fury, the rest of the agents, including Hill, raised their anesthesia net guns at Pichu. If Pichu showed any intention to attack, they would shoot immediately.

"Don't shoot yet."

Looking at Pichu and meeting his eyes, Nick Fury remained calm, raised his hand, and said:

"Yes, sir."

After hearing this, several agents saw Pichu's expression change slightly, and there was a hint of shock between their brows, but they still strictly followed the order and just looked at Pichu vigilantly.

Looking at Pichu, Nick Fury squinted slightly, his face changed slightly, and he seemed a little dignified.

As a master agent, his ability to read people is far superior to that of ordinary individuals, and he can even deduce a lot of information from subtle expression changes and body movements.

Now, he seemed to see the light of wisdom in Pichu's big jewel-like eyes, as if he was facing a person instead of an animal.

This made Nick Fury pay more attention to Pichu.

Pichu jumped down the stairs, walked to the living room, and hopped onto the coffee table in front of the sofa.

Rubbing the spots on his face with his right hand, wisps of golden electric arcs were generated. Pichu looked at Nick Fury, three meters away, with wide eyes and said:

"Are you trying to catch me as a guinea pig?"

He is so rare and peculiar that after being caught, it is likely he'd end up as a test subject, which is a frightening thought.

Nick Fury: "..."

Hill: "..."

Other agents: "..."

They looked at each other in confusion.

Because Pichu's words sounded like this to them:

"Pi, Pichu Pipi."

Even though they are super agents proficient in multiple languages, even Nick Fury was baffled by the language they had heard for the first time.

Different species, language barriers, very uncomfortable.

But Nick Fury could tell that Pichu was probably trying to communicate with them.

There was no way, so Nick Fury could only speak English, tentatively saying:

"Well, can you understand what I'm saying?"

"..." Hill and the other agents glanced at Nick Fury.

Hill was thoughtful, and as she looked at Pichu, a strong urge to hug him like a pet cat emerged in her heart.

After all, Pichu's appearance is so adorable, it's no wonder he could charm men, women, and children alike.

The rest of the agents felt that Nick Fury must be joking.

How could an animal understand human language, even though this animal was unlike any in nature?

However, the next moment, they were all somewhat dumbfounded.

Pichu nodded at them.

"Can it really understand?!"

Everyone was taken aback, even Nick Fury, who had been prepared, was also surprised. The importance of Pichu was immediately elevated to top-secret level 7.

"I can really understand it!"

Seeing Pichu nodding, Nick Fury and the others were shocked.

Nick Fury and Hill were a bit more composed, but the other agents were so surprised that their eyes widened, and their mouths were slightly agape with the urge to exclaim.

But after all, they were not ordinary people, so they suppressed their impulses.

A solemn look flashed across Nick Fury's face. He suppressed his shock and remained calm, looked at Pichu, and said:

"You need electricity?"

"That's right (Pichu)," Pichu nodded and said, rubbing his right hand on his cheek. A series of golden electric arcs were generated immediately, and then he started to play with them in his hands.

Unlike animations and games, this Pichu can perfectly control its own electricity, discharging it when desired and holding back when not.

Unlike the original Pichu, who would discharge when surprised or laughing, startling itself.

Hearing Pichu's answer, Nick Fury narrowed his right eye slightly, as if he was thinking about it, and looked at Pichu with a kind smile, saying:

"Would you like to come to my place? I have a lot of electricity. You won't have a problem getting as much as you need."

"?!"

Hill and the other agents couldn't help but glance at Nick Fury, their expressions slightly puzzled but they didn't speak. Instead, they all watched Pichu's reaction to see if he would agree.

"..." Pichu was a little stunned when he heard the words. The arc between his hands dissipated, and his big eyes stared straight at Nick Fury.

Then he came back to his senses, his eyes rolled around, but he was full of complaints in his heart.

"Darn, does this guy think I'm stupid? Who can say such obvious nonsense, trying to trick clueless kids? The kind who give me a lollipop and expect me to leave?"

Complaints aside, after thinking about it, Pichu understood why Nick Fury said that.

After all, he still underestimated Pichu.

Nick Fury still regards him as an animal, even if he has some intelligence and can even understand their speech. But an animal is still an animal.

He considers Pichu a 'simple creature,' so he wants to appeal to what Pichu desires.

Unfortunately, if it was just a Pichu, it might have gone with him.

So Pichu rolled his eyes at Nick Fury, pulled the corner of his mouth with his hand, made a face, then twisted his body, turned his little butt to him, and slapped his butt with his hands.

Not only that, but he also yelled at him: "Fool!"

Of course, it sounded like 'Pichu!'.

Nick Fury: "..."

Hill and the others: "..."

Everyone was dumbfounded when they saw Pichu's actions.

So expressive, so anthropomorphic!

This is not a monster!

After being stunned, Nick Fury's face darkened when he realized what had happened, and the corners of his mouth twitched uncontrollably. He didn't know what to say.

He was despised by an animal?!

Although he couldn't understand what Pichu said, it was already obvious in body language.

If you don't understand this, there are only two kinds of people.

One is blind, and the other is mentally immature.

Obviously, Nick Fury doesn't belong to either of those categories.

He understood everything, and his face was a bit grim.
