Another low guttural noise, as if taunting, enjoying this hunt.
SNARL!
Another shot, and Kiki went to the side, surviving it again. She was keeping this stupid lizard focused on herself. Terry saw that; she was trying to protect him?
He needed to do something. Make a spear for her? At first, it felt like the right call, but BAM! Another forked tongue shot, and Terry felt like the base of his branch just escaped a clean cut. Otherwise, he would have fallen down immediately.
No time to waste at all.
SNARL!
Another tongue shot, but this time, Kiki was ready for it. The moment the tongue missed, losing its momentum, she grabbed it tightly, a sizzling noise escaped as Kiki's hand started burning for some reason.
She pulled the tongue, wrapped it around a nearby branch and pulled.
This stupid lizard didn't expect this at all, but it climbed faster, using its claws to regain its lost tongue or bite off that branch its tongue was tied to.
It reached the branch and opened its mouth wide open to bite off when its dark beady eyes noticed Terry.
It never noticed Terry or smelled him, because both of them smelled exactly the same. The scent of Bug-repellent balm. It never guessed there were two of them instead of just one.
Terry had his Bow and arrow taut, pulled back, aimed at its target.
Noticing the danger, it tried to close its mouth, but too late.
TWANG!
SWISH!
PIERCE!
The arrow went straight through its upper jaw and pierced out of its head.
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!
"STOP! It's dead... don't waste your arrows," Kiki called out, seeing the terror-filled face of Terry who just kept on shooting.
She was shocked to see that Terry didn't even need to slot the arrow; he was just pulling the string, and an arrow materialized out of nowhere.
Hearing Kiki's voice, Terry broke out of his terror trance. Then he noticed something odd.
"Kiki? Your hand?" Her hands had red burn marks.
She looked at it and ignored it. "It's nothing."
"No... why it's nothing." Then Terry suddenly noticed a sizzling noise. His arrows embedded inside the lizard mouth started melting and catching fire.
"Acid?" He exclaimed.
Kiki now really wanted to ask why he says all those weird and stupid words which does not mean anything.
Terry quickly came closer to her and sat near her on the same branch. He pulled out anti-burn balm and took her hand gently and started rubbing them with care on her hands.
The balm worked immediately and the redness of the skin vanished. Terry noticed Kiki was wincing in pain, so he immediately applied Pain relief paste and a cool sensation spread giving Kiki soothing sensation.
That also worked in seconds as the paste vanished after completing its work. Then Terry pulled out Healing Balm and applied it.
Kiki's hands, the burnt skin fell off and a new skin took its place.
Kiki was in awe at how fast everything worked.
"What talent or Bloodline is this?"
"Didn't I say, I am the only one... in this world."
Kiki let out a small giggle then accidently she let out a small snort. She immediately covered her mouth. "What are you looking at?" she glared at Terry.
"Nothing..." Terry looked away to hide his laugh. After an awkward pause Kiki cleared her throat.
"Well, you have your hunt there and you killed it yourself too."
"Nah... without you I would have died already."
"With your one in the world talent." Kiki said in a kind of sarcastic tone. "You would have survived and able to kill one too sooner or later."
"Nah... I would have run away at the first sight to never return. Your bravery and company kept me here. I never had any intention of going on a Ghorok hunt at all. I would have just returned and said that I tried and I failed."
"With your unique, one in the world talent, you would let others think that you are a coward and useless?"
"I don't care what others think of me... I just do what I want to do and most of the time I don't want to do anything in particular... just relax and enjoy life." Terry let out a long stretch.
"Fine, great Sage! Your wisdom is out of this world."
Terry wanted to retort that not only his wisdom, even he is out of this world but he only smiled in return.
After that Terry cut down the branch from where that lizard was hanging.
"Let's see what kind of loot it will give." He was getting this very strong feeling from the corpse that it would give lots of loot.
"What are you doing? Don't touch it. Just tie from its tail and drag it back." Kiki advised.
Terry was about to touch it so he paused. Froze like a statue as he looked at Kiki. How should he explain that there is loot he needs to loot?
Kiki was also confused at why Terry was acting so awkward and not moving.
Then Terry touched the scaled part. The whole corpse vanished.
Kiki's eyes went wide again. "You could do that too?"
"Why? Didn't I do the same with fishes?"
Kiki nodded.
However, inside the inventory, the corpse was already divided into several things, several loot.
-Large Reptilian Head (x1) - Unknown.
-Tough acidic Meat (x24)
-Stone-Hard Scales (x45)
-Scaled Hide (x1)
-Serrated Claws (x8)
-Corrosive Sac (x1)
-Corrosive Bile (x6)
-Corrosive Blood (x8)
-Durable Tendons (x5)
Terry's eyes lit up at the amount and things he got. However, it was strange that it didn't say Ghorok but instead Large Reptilian Head Unknown?
Every fish he fished had their name on it but why not this Ghorok? He wanted to ask Kiki but it would be even harder to explain his abilities so he didn't.
Looking at the amount of loot, he was happy. Although he was not sure what he could do with them yet, it was still best.
