Back on shore, Arif is torn. He loves her. She loves him. But they are from different worlds.
On the final night of monsoon, when spirits are strongest, Arif brings one last hilsa to the sea.
"Aleya," he says, "if love means pain, I will still love you."
They embrace, one last time.
And by dawn, she vanishes.
Only a silver wisp remains in the boat.
