Chapter 6 - Grumble

It was already midnight.

The bar of the five-star luxury hotel was wrapped in a dim and sophisticated atmosphere. Soft music blended with the murmurs of the elite, and the glint of glasses reflected the venue's warm lighting.

Killian, an imposing alpha, sat at a secluded table with a glass of whiskey between his fingers. His relaxed posture contrasted with his cold and distant gaze. Next to him, Arthur—another alpha and his trusted friend—watched him closely.

"Bro, you're drinking way too little tonight," Arthur commented casually, noticing his friend had barely touched his drink.

"Something happen?"

Killian took a small sip before replying, his voice as cold as his expression.

"No," he said flatly.

Arthur frowned and pouted in mock offense, puffing his cheeks slightly in protest.

"Don't you dare talk to me in that tone," he scolded with a dramatic pout.

Killian let out a heavy sigh and finally nodded, resigned to answering with more tact.

"Fine."

Arthur leaned in with interest.

"So... what did you do with the little omega?"

"Not much."

Arthur stared at him, perplexed, and mentally scoffed.

'God, I really don't get him lately!' he thought, frustrated.

Just then, two omegas approached their table. Both were strikingly attractive—almost too much. One was a boy with bright blond hair, blue eyes, and porcelain-like pale skin. The other, a girl with pink hair and honey-colored eyes, wore a tight dress that left little to the imagination. Both moved with provocative confidence—clear gold diggers.

"Hello," they said in unison, wearing smiles meant to be seductive as they addressed both Killian and Arthur.

The blond omega spoke first, his tone timid but calculated.

"Sorry to bother you, but my friend and I are new here... Could you help us out a little?" he added, shamelessly sitting beside Killian.

The girl followed, adopting a sweet tone.

"My friend's right, we're new in town," she said, seating herself next to Arthur with a flirty smile. "How about we have a little fun together?"

The blond placed his hand on Killian's thigh with fake confidence, gazing at him flirtatiously.

But the reaction wasn't what he expected. Both alphas looked disgusted.

Killian slowly raised his eyes, his green gaze radiating silent threat. His voice was as sharp as a blade.

"Get your hand off me before I cut it off," he snapped coldly, not even blinking.

The blond omega froze. He pulled his hand away immediately, pale and trembling. The pink-haired girl also backed off, frightened by the alpha's tone.

Arthur watched silently, crossing his arms with a half-smile.

'Hmph, they really shouldn't have messed with Kil,' he thought with some satisfaction.

Killian stood up with a sharp movement, his frown deep and irritation clear.

"You want to have fun, huh?" he asked with an icy smile, addressing the two omegas. "Fine. I'll send you to the horniest clients here so you can have real fun," he added with malice before glancing at Arthur and signaling slightly.

Without another word, Killian turned on his heel and walked away with firm steps.

Arthur stayed behind, watching him with concern.

'Kil is super pissed. He hates sluts and gold diggers the most,' he thought, then turned to the nearby guards.

"Hey, what are you waiting for?" he ordered firmly. "Take them to the clients."

The two bulky guards in black nodded without a word. They approached the omegas, who now looked visibly scared.

"Come on, you need to come with us," the first said, grabbing the blond's arm.

"Let's go," added the second, grabbing the girl's wrist.

The blond omega cried out, trying to break free.

"Young master, please forgive us!"

"W-we were wrong!" the girl pleaded, voice trembling.

But the guards didn't stop. They dragged them without mercy toward the back of the bar.

Arthur sighed and stood up.

"Kil, wait for me!" he called out, running after him.

Catching up in the hallway, he hurried to speak.

"Where are you going now? Aren't you going to take your meds?"

Killian paused for a moment and stared at him. His eyes seemed to pierce right through Arthur, making him shiver unintentionally.

"I'm going somewhere. I'll be back soon."

"Promise me you'll come back... and won't do something crazy," Arthur said seriously.

Killian gave him a crooked smile.

"Alright, I promise," he replied before disappearing through the door.

Elsewhere…

Sleep embraced Ángel like a soft cloud. He felt cozy under the smooth sheets. Until the loud noise of the doorbell snapped him out of his dream.

In the darkness of his room, the young omega tried to ignore the annoying, shrill sound.

His irritation became more obvious as he pressed the pillow against his head, searching for peace.

"Ughhh..." Ángel mumbled, crawling out of bed with messy hair and a deep frown.

He walked slowly toward the door, still half-asleep and clearly annoyed.

"Who the hell dares to interrupt my sleep?!" he shouted from the hallway.

No response. The doorbell rang again.

Ding-dong... Ding-dong...

'No one out there?' he thought warily, pursing his lips. 'What if it's a ghost waiting to eat me?'

He shuddered at the idea. The silence was starting to feel uncomfortable.

"This is getting weird..." he muttered.

Just then, a deep voice he recognized immediately called out.

"It's me," said Killian from the other side of the door.

"Eh?" Ángel quickly opened up, blinking in surprise. "You?! What are you doing here at this hour?" he snapped, annoyed.

Killian didn't answer. He simply walked into the apartment like he owned the place, without asking for permission.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going? I didn't say you could come in!" the omega protested angrily.

But the alpha ignored his words and dropped himself onto the couch with a small mocking smile. Ángel sighed in defeat.

"I give up. What do you want at this hour?"

Killian opened his mouth to answer, but his stomach growled loudly, cutting him off.

Ángel stared at him, surprised.

"Pfft… HAHAHAHA!" he burst out laughing.

Killian looked away, embarrassed.

"Stop laughing, omega," he muttered with a red face.

"I-I can't..." Ángel laughed, clutching his stomach.

After a few seconds, he calmed down and sighed with a teasing grin.

"Oh, that was a good one… So, you're hungry, huh?"

Killian said nothing, staring off to the side with a serious expression. His pride was wounded, but it was obvious.

"Mm, wait here. I'll make something quick," Ángel said, turning toward the kitchen.

Killian watched him leave, surprised. He didn't say anything—just sat there in silence.

After a few minutes, Ángel returned with a steaming bowl.

"Here you go," he said, handing over a bowl of ramen.

"This is all I have right now, so eat that… and then get lost," he added with a cold smile.

Killian stared at the bowl.

'Do I really have to eat that stuff?' he thought, swallowing hard.

"Eat now," Ángel ordered in a dominant tone.

Killian didn't hesitate further. He grabbed the chopsticks and started eating quickly. Ángel watched him with narrowed eyes.

'Maybe he really is a masochist!' he thought, stunned.

Killian, on the other hand, was fully focused on his food. He was surprised by how good it was.

'This stuff actually tastes unexpectedly good…' he thought, eating even faster.

When he finished, he leaned back slightly, satisfied.

Ángel crossed his arms, annoyed and sleepy.

"Now you can leave."

"Leave where?" Killian asked neutrally.

"To your house," the omega replied bluntly.

Killian looked down for a second, though his expression didn't change.

'Do I even have one?' he thought suddenly, with a hint of sadness he didn't show.

"Hurry up and go," Ángel insisted.

Killian stood up without saying anything else. He walked to the door, opened it, and left.

Ángel slammed the door shut behind him and muttered angrily:

"That idiot... why is he so annoying?"
