The fourth day.
I was able to create a simple cultivation technique after ten tries. The full-mastery knowledge I gained from the golden orb made me a humanoid encyclopedia of eastern medicine.
Thus, Kiana's turn to become a formal cultivator came.
"Hmph?!"
"...Sorry."
The hurdle to this stage was the introduction of spiritual qi into the body. It required me to press my palm behind her back then guide the spiritual qi to her meridians. This is where the term "Immortals teach with a touch of hand" originated.
Using an auxiliary technique I learned, my spiritual qi scanned her intangible meridians. It started backtracking their way to her Spirit Roots.
Feeling things using spiritual qi is like grasping things with eyes closed.
Once it reached a certain part, I "saw" a black light glowing inside Kiana's meridians.
'Void Spirit Root. High grade, too. It's similar to mine.'
Typically, Spirit Roots range from one to five attributes; which is then separated into Yin and Yang. Aside from that, there are also 'mutant' Spirit Roots that operates a bit 'differently' from these elements.
This is where the Void Spirit Root stands out. Instead of the elements, it turns spiritual qi into a 'blank energy' of sorts. This feature conforms to the 'Emptiness' stated on the 'Void Refinement' Realm. It serves as a free pass to numerous realm breakthroughs, be it the Golden Core, Nascent Soul, and so on.
There are good and bad sides to everything, however. It has a slower cultivation speed compared to its rivals such as my Five Elements Yang Spirit Root. Mine also has more specialties as opposed to Kiana's sole specialty to void-related things.
Either way, high grade Spirit Roots can guarantee the Divine Transformation Realm, the sixth out of ten cultivation realms.
After ascertaining her Spirit Root, I tailor-made a technique for it. Another round of spiritual qi circulation began from my palm. It detailed the circulation path of the said technique.
I did it after three tries, which was inseparable from my photographic memory (techniques). I am the grandfather in the ring. All that's left is to "recultivate".
As for the others, it is necessary for me to assist them. The detailed diagram of meridians I received helped in pointing out where the others' meridians are.
It took some time. Kiana was startled several times.
Overall, I succeeded.
It's just that…
"Eh?!"
I forgot about the Herrscher Core inside her. When I used the [Two Phase Art] to convert honkai energy, spiritual qi came from Kiana herself. I surmised it is related to Kiana's broken Second Herrscher Core.
Despite being inactive (i.e., Sirin sleeping), the energy it 'stores' is considerable. Once locked in as 'Free Energy', it gets converted into spiritual qi.
Since then, she had something similar to a spiritual qi generator.
At first, I used it to assist her practice. Later on, I realized I can actually use it too.
For her, she can skip the process of attracting spiritual qi. That saves up at least a quarter of cultivation time. It is already inside her body, after all.
I took on the remaining ones that leaked out. The effects of my cultivation technique were then quadrupled. That was how broken it was.
The fifth day.
I created my next agenda: Body cultivation.
After creating four different techniques from all the work-out routines I randomly placed, plus some technical descriptions that came from my mastered techniques, I managed to create the [Ten Directions Body Art].
I intentionally made it related to the [Ten Lights Immortal Physique]. It stimulates the ten elements (the five elements, each with a "Yin" and "Yang" version) to strengthen the body. It required me to do thirty-six different exercises to complete one session. That took two hours to finish, sadly.
After that, it was time for Kiana's daily training.
The sixth day.
I was able to finish the last of the trio: Mental Sutra.
It was a technique specifically used to train the 'mind'. It can be likened to telekinesis, but stronger. A strong mind can do that, plus boost memory, speed up the thinking process, and even attack someone intangibly and cause them to lose consciousness!
After seven techniques, I was able to create the most suitable one.
"[Xinhai Wuji Heart Sutra]..." (lit. All-Encompassing Vast Sea Heart Sutra)
It has capabilities to back its grand name. Thankfully, all I had to do for this technique was the recitation of formulae. That, and solve some 'puzzles' presented in the book itself. It ranges from normal mazes to decrypting locks. It's not about solving per se, but going through the process of solving.
In my case, I know the answers already. All that's left is to personally do the process of answering again.
I can safely practice this whenever I am sitting idly.
Just like that, the seventh day arrived.
"A technique that connects three fundamental practices… If this doesn't work, I'll try to connect the Qi and Body practices first. The [Xinhai Sutra] doesn't eat much time…"
My fingers constantly tapped my thigh. I am thinking what to do with this dilemma.
I heaved some light breaths.
Swoosh-!
Kiana nearly turned into a blur. She was able to cross the entire basketball court in a flash. Her shoes made a screeching sound with the floor.
Her already insane physical prowess was further enhanced by cultivation. The true potential of the [Cloud Seeking Steps] I taught was gradually unveiled.
In terms of physical and practical talent, she is unmatched. She doesn't understand the meridian and spiritual qi terminologies I told her. It must have sounded like a long-winded yap to her. She is the Tuna after all. Her patience when it came to these things are not much.
I saw that she prefers resting more. In more direct terms, slacking off.
Anyways, Kiana was able to follow through the 'path' I drew on her body. She doesn't understand it, though she knows how to do it. That was enough to cultivate spiritual qi.
As for converting honkai energy and the others into spiritual qi, that became my responsibility.
"How was it?"
I snapped out of my daze when I heard her voice. Her somewhat tall figure (for her age) did not differ from the Kiana in the first chapter. She looks a bit more childish. That was all.
Her double braids swayed every time she walked.
Truly the pinnacle of the Tuna.
"Uh… It's good. That speed… uhm. It's recorded as the beginner's feats."
"Beginners?"
"You have to constantly practice to improve. Once you can leave a clone, that indicates you are at the next level."
The techniques I got are very detailed. The reason why they are thick was that the descriptions for each realm are included.
In Qi Refining, leaving a standing clone is the indicator of "Small Success".
In Foundation Establishment, leaving ten clones meant the same thing as above.
Masteries in techniques are universal. You don't have to re-learn it once you break into a major realm. That was why each realm showed a unique case; all of these unique cases are compiled on the technique I received.
That is the only way to judge 'mastery'. I nor the others do not have a 'system', after all.
"What's next after that?"
"Five clones. That's the level above that. As for the final level, it's ten clones. They also move."
"They move?!"
I saw confusion appear in Kiana's eyes. She can't fathom how these 'clones' appear, more so how they move independently.
'Golden Core's 'Perfect' mastery allows light speed travel…'
I hid the words I planned to say. It was too absurd.
"Ahem. I haven't seen it yet. It's only stated in our technique. It's a myth, maybe."
"It's uber cool if it's true."
"Yeah…"
We had our usual idle talks for the day.
