Chapter 1: Lano and the Ghost Clan

The Ghost Clan appeared 150 years ago when the world was in chaos. In a place far from Earth, a devastating meteor fell onto the planet, causing massive destruction across the entire world. Many people died as victims of an aerial attack whose origin was unknown. Many lands stopped producing anything except a few, which led to widespread chaos and deadly fights.

At that time, a man appeared who had learned a combat style he acquired after the explosion. His power was supernatural, making everyone fear him. They nicknamed him "the Ghost" because of his speed and sudden appearances, never knowing where he came from.

That man got married and things changed. His family members began to inherit the same power. The world started to develop again and the lands began to produce anew. However, they reached an era ruled by power and financial authority, monopolizing poverty and rejecting them as if they were not human — an era where finding a job meant survival.

In a large, gloomy mansion that feels suffocating when you approach, lived the Ghost Clan — a family not ruled by any human power or authority.

Inside, an old man sat on the floor by a tea table, dressed simply. He was the head of the Ghost Clan, named Kintou. Opposite him sat a sharply dressed man named Shin Karua, the head of the crime-fighting organization SDPONE.

Shin Karua sat down and said: "Sorry for the trouble I caused you."

Kintou replied: "It's okay, the burden of a friend is welcome."

Shin Karua smiled and said: "Sorry, but the work has become harder due to a case we are investigating, and our hands are tied."

Kintou looked at him sharply and asked: "Did you come to ask for help? Go ahead, tell me what you have."

Shin Karua said: "Sorry, but I need your help to take him down."

Kintou laughed loudly for a long time and said: "Don't you see I've become old and no longer participate in assassinations? But first, tell me his story."

Shin Karua smiled and said that the man ruled with financial power, trading women and poor children, telling them they mean nothing in society. He is also involved in money laundering and killing rights activists.

Kintou looked at him with a terrifying gaze, freezing Shin Karua's expression. Shin Karua couldn't say anything. Kintou asked: "Why haven't you arrested him? But I think I understand, money is playing a role."

Shin Karua: "Will you help me, please?"

Kintou coldly replied: "I'll help you with the right person. Have you heard of the Black Ghost?"

Shin Karua was shocked: "What? I've heard about him but never seen him. Only his darkness is spoken of."

Kintou said: "Good, follow me."

They both stood before the kitchen door. Shin Karua was shocked and asked: "What are we doing here?"

Kintou replied: "Look at the roof, you'll find him there."

Lano was sitting alone, gazing at the moon. He turned to his grandfather and said: "Grandpa, who is this nobody beside you?"

Kintou said: "Didn't I tell you to respect your elders? Also, I have work for you."

Kintou said to Lano: "You are to assassinate a man named Danfud in Regisenn Square."

Lano: "What… what is this place? I've never heard of it."

Shin Karua: "It's an area owned by a wealthy influential man who conducts forbidden activities and uses his money to launder crimes."

Lano smiled: "Is that so? Then how much will you pay me?"

Shin Karua: "Ha… I will pay you 100,000 dollars. What do you think?"

Lano: "Deal… And tell me where to find him."

Shin Karua: "Tomorrow, he will hold a party at eight in the evening to celebrate his nomination for the elections at Jason Company, his own company, named after his title 'Regisenn'."

Lano: "Okay, and don't forget to pay the money. Now get out of my sight; I don't want anyone disturbing me while I drink my favorite apple juice."

Shin Karua: "Fine."

Then Kintou said to him: "What an ill-mannered grandson you are."

Kintou escorted Shin Karua to the front door of the mansion. Shin Karua got into his car, started the engine, and drove home.

While on the way, he told his assistant to prepare the amount of 100,000 dollars for the mission to be carried out Tomorrow.

The Mission Begins

On the appointed day, the party was massive. Every guest sparkled in elegant clothing, and the women's jewelry shimmered under the lights. They chatted while sipping drinks, laughing over the wealth they had gained off the backs of the poor.

Regisen entered the hall with a much younger girl by his side — the one who would soon become his future wife.

He stepped onto the stage and said:

"Thank you all for coming. I'd like to introduce you to my beloved, who will become my future wife."

She joined him on stage, he held her hand, and the crowd cheered and applauded with excitement.

Meanwhile, outside...

A dark shadow appeared — Lano, eyes black as night, moving silently as he waited for the moonlight to vanish behind a massive cloud drifting toward it.

In a slow-motion scene, the cloud began covering the moon bit by bit, until the light faded completely.

Once darkness fell over the rooftop where he stood, Lano leapt across to the next building — running and jumping rooftop to rooftop — closing in on the Jason Building.

When he arrived, he leapt down to the ground and stood before two guards.

One of them asked,

"Who are you? Get lost. This place is for important people."

Lano replied coldly,

"Really? I'm an important person too."

He drew his sword from his waist — and in a swift motion, sliced off the guard's head.

The second guard was frozen in fear, trembling as he shouted:

"Are you insane?! Who the hell are you?!"

But Lano didn't care.

He decapitated him too — simply because he was annoying.

Then he walked into the building, slowly, calmly, eyes scanning the decorated walls and furniture around him.

Inside, one of the security team had seen the two beheaded guards through the surveillance cameras and alerted the others.

They saw Lano entering the building and quickly called in all guards with weapons.

They surrounded him and yelled:

"Stop! Who are you?! Why are you doing this?! Do you want to die?!"

Lano looked at them with his right eye — the eye that could see the future one minute ahead.

He saw their every move with their guns before they even pulled them.

Suddenly, a strange aura burst from his body — shattering all the lights on the floor around him.

The guards froze, terrified.

One of them caught a glimpse of Lano's glowing, thunderous eyes and muttered in horror:

"I know who he is... It's the Black Ghost…!"

"Attack him! Now!" another shouted.

But in a blink, they were all torn apart — shredded into pieces, their blood soaking the floor.

Lano grabbed the last remaining guard by the neck and asked,

"Which floor is the party on?"

The guard laughed nervously and said:

"Kill me. I won't tell you anything."

Lano smirked — and gouged out his eye.

The guard screamed in agony.

Lano tossed him to the ground and said:

"I'll torture you until you speak."

He began breaking the guard's fingers one by one, then smashed his leg.

The man screamed,

"Stop! I'll tell you! It's on the 25th floor! Please, just stop!"

Lano turned away — and sliced his head in two.

He then walked toward the elevator…

ready to ascend to the 25th floor.

As Lano ascended in the elevator to the 25th floor, a message was sent out that a member of the Ghost Clan was inside the building to assassinate Regisen, who was also heading up to the 25th floor.

Everyone prepared to stop and kill Lano. One of Regisen's guards informed his assistant that a Ghost Clan member wanted to assassinate Regisen. The deputy said, "Go and kill him."

The assistant rushed to Regisen and said, "The Black Ghost is here to kill you."

Regisen was shocked and frightened. "Why is someone from that family following me? Damn them all! I have to get out of here."

But his assistant calmed him down, saying, "They will take care of him, don't worry."

Two guards waited in front of the elevator for Lano's arrival. They opened the elevator doors to kill him.

After a short moment, the elevator doors opened before them. Lano looked at them, shattering the lights, and a deep darkness enveloped the place.

He quickly unleashed a flurry of attacks, tearing them apart one by one. The floor was soon soaked in blood.

Then he opened the door to the party room. The lights shattered again. Regisen was shocked and shouted, "Damn it, it's him!"

He ran, holding his lover's hand, and exited through the other door to the party room.

Lano stormed through the party room with swift steps, tearing apart everyone inside. It was like a day of reckoning.

He then headed towards Regisen, who opened the elevator to hide inside with his lover, only to find Lano standing before him.

Regisen grabbed his lover and threw her onto Lano, then shut the elevator door, leaving himself alone with Lano.

The girl was terrified and began begging. Lano said to her,

"I remember you. You made that child an orphan and his mother lose her husband. You ruined their lives."

He then tore her apart. She let out one scream and then died.

Lano exited the elevator on the 30th floor. Fearful, he hid in a room, his breath almost gone. His pants were wet, and his body trembled as he leaned against the door with his back.

After some time, he felt calm. There were no footsteps or noise. He opened the door slightly and looked ahead.

He saw a glowing shadow — it was Lano, his eyes sparking with fire.

Outside the building, Regisen's screams echoed.

Lano left the building holding a blood-stained cloth wrapped in his hands.

Lano entered the SDPONE headquarters where the people inside were afraid of him. Shin Karua looked at him and said,

"Lano, have you completed the mission?"

Lano looked at him and grabbed the cloth that had something in its center. He untied the bindings, revealing Regisen's head, shocking everyone. Lano said to them,

"Where is the money?"

Shin Karua was stunned and asked,

"What did you do to the others?"

Lano replied,

"I tore them all apart because they blocked my way."

Shin Karua said,

"What? You killed them all? Who told you to kill them, you fool?"

Lano's anger flared up, and in a flash, a sword appeared at Shin Karua's neck. He said,

"What do you mean? Say that again and you'll die."

Shin Karua, shocked by Lano's speed, said,

"Sorry, that was foolish of me."

Lano then sheathed his sword at his waist, transferred the money to his account, and left.

A man with white hair and blue eyes named Kaidou approached and said,

"Welcome, my friend."

Lano ignored him as if he didn't see him.

Lano went shopping, buying a lot of food and clothes for children. Then he headed toward a house.

A young boy saw him and said,

"Hello, Uncle Lano, how are you?"

Lano smiled and said,

"These are for you. I also bought you a phone so you can contact me if anything happens."

The boy was happy and thanked him, then went to open the door of his small house and called his mother to see the gifts. When she came out, she found Lano had already left.

The boy was sad because Lano always disappears. His mother told him,

"Don't be sad. Surely, he is a kind man helping us."

Lano stood on their rooftop and said,

"Why are you following me?"

Kaidou appeared and said,

"Nothing, just watching your curiosity about the things you bought."

Lano asked,

"What's your business?"

Kaidou laughed and said,

"Who would think the terrifying Black Ghost cares for an orphaned child and his mother?"

Lano felt anger and told him,

"Get out of my sight."

Kaidou said,

"Fine, but remember, there's no mercy in this world. Love yourself and look only after yourself."

Lano stared at him with sharp eyes, hearing words full of hatred and malice.
