Chapter 1 - The Story

On a bright morning at the high school, there was a person sleeping on the rooftop, deep in slumber.

He was a first-year high school student named Ishira Reiji, sleeping soundly without any disturbances.

Suddenly, he felt uncomfortable because of a noisy sound—like phone notifications.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

He grew irritated as the sound kept disturbing him.

"Whose phone is that? Please keep it down, I can't sleep."

But his scolding didn't work, and the sound continued. Annoyed, he opened his eyes and sat up.

However, there was no one around except for himself. To make sure, he looked around the rooftop, but still, no one was there.

"Maybe it was a dream..."

He then went back to the shady spot where he had been sleeping earlier. Just as he was about to lie down again, a floating text appeared right in front of his face.

"This guy is so boring. Let's make the teacher find him and cane him."

Suddenly, the rooftop door opened, and a person wearing a shirt and holding a cane spotted Ishira.

"What are you doing here? Skipping class, huh? Get up right now."

Ishira had no choice but to stand up and endure the scolding. The teacher then ordered him to lie down in a push-up position.

Reluctantly, Ishira obeyed, and the teacher swung the cane hard, striking his butt three times.

"Errghhh..." Ishira groaned in pain.

"Now get up and go to class!"

Ishira quickly grabbed his bag and rushed away, rubbing his sore butt as he went.

"How did the teacher even think to come up here? They never do that..."

Then, the floating text appeared again.

"Wow, the author changed the story in a second... Serves you right, haha! Thanks, author, you made my day!"

The floating window disappeared.

"What the hell is with these texts?"

He wondered if it was just a hallucination or some kind of illusion. Deciding to ignore it, he continued to his classroom.

Inside the class, he sat at the very back, next to the window. No one really paid attention to him—he wasn't the social type, and at 6.2 feet tall, Ishira stood out more than he blended in.

As usual, he saw his desk as the perfect spot for a nap.

Just as he was about to rest his head...

Ding! Ding! Ding!

"Fuck... Not again."

It seemed like no one else in the class heard the notifications.

"Hey author, you should spice things up in the first chapter, like make him trip onto the girl's body—then it'll get spicy!"

Ishira's body suddenly moved on its own, as if someone else was controlling it. From his seat, he abruptly stood up.

"What's happening? Why is my body moving?"

He tried to resist with all his strength, but his body wouldn't listen. His legs moved on their own toward one of his female classmates.

As he walked, his feet tangled, and he tripped, falling straight toward a girl—Akira, the most beautiful girl in the class.

Bam!

By the time he fell, he had regained control of his body, but it was too late. Now, the girl was beneath him, and Ishira barely caught himself with his hands.

"I'm so dead..."

She lay there silently, staring up at him, her face turning bright red with embarrassment.

But Ishira was horrified by what had just happened—it was completely unexpected. Sweat dripped from his face as panic set in.

He quickly got up and offered Akira his hand to help her stand.

Akira hesitated shyly before taking his hand, but suddenly, he grabbed both sides of her waist and lifted her onto a chair.

"I'm sorry… Are you hurt anywhere?"

Akira shook her head and immediately turned her face away.

"I think she hates me even more now… I should just go to the bathroom and calm down first."

He left the classroom and headed to the restroom. Meanwhile, Akira held the spots on her waist where Ishira had touched her, covering her flushed face in embarrassment.

Ishira washed his face in the bathroom sink, but the floating text still wouldn't disappear from his vision.

"Don't tell me everything happened because of this damn text..."

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Another notification popped up.

LonelyGod: Good job, author! This is the first time someone's actually changed the story in the blink of an eye.

HunterSuck: Ohhh… another member. At least I'm not alone wasting 10k just to subscribe to this story for a month.

LonelyGod: This is the first time the story changed just from us commenting. I won't miss this chance to release my stress—even if I have to spend all my money.

HunterSuck: Me too.

"Who the hell are they?! What do they mean by 'story' and 'author'?!"

Suddenly, the school building shook violently—the ground trembled as if a massive earthquake had struck.

Ishira, still standing, was thrown against the wall from the intense tremors. The bathroom tiles cracked, and the screams of students echoed through the halls.

He struggled to get up and peeked outside. The moment he stepped out of the bathroom, he saw students running in panic, fleeing the school.

The once-clear sky had turned pitch black, lightning streaking across the darkness, illuminating the chaos below.

Then—a massive portal ripped open in the clouds.

A colossal dragon emerged, its deafening roar shaking the earth. Smaller winged creatures, resembling pterosaurs, followed, swarming the skies.

Suddenly, the dragon unleashed a torrent of fire from its maw—buildings melted in an instant, cars exploded on impact, and people ran for their lives.

The world had descended into madness.

And Ishira stood there, realizing one terrifying truth—

" Don't tell me this is the story they tell about "

This wasn't just a story anymore for Ishira.

This was to real.

" Did I just become their plaything? "
