Early the next morning, Ryosuke woke up feeling fully recovered.
He shrugged his shoulders—no pain at all.
Muttering to himself, he said, "Looks like I'm ready to get beat up again."
He actually enjoyed getting beat up now. It boosted his physical stats and sharpened his taijutsu in real combat.
A day without a proper thrashing felt wrong.
After a quick wash-up, he headed straight to Ichiraku Ramen and polished off a steaming hot bowl. Then he went looking for Guy.
But after combing through the whole Hidden Leaf Village, he couldn't find him anywhere.
That's when he figured—Guy was probably out on a mission.
Unlike Ryosuke, who had connections and could skip Police Force duties, Guy was a civilian shinobi. No missions meant no money to survive on.
Left with no other option, Ryosuke returned to the Uchiha district and ducked into a nearby forest.
No sparring partners? Then he'd just train solo.
He definitely wasn't dumb enough to go picking fights with random shinobi.
Not everyone was as cooperative as Guy—getting seriously injured was a real possibility. That'd be plain suicidal.
Even if solo training gave smaller gains, it was still progress.
He started by jogging laps around the little forest—about 300 meters per lap.
After 33 laps, he'd hit 10 kilometers. Good for endurance and cardiovascular fitness.
Next, he cranked out 100 push-ups to build muscle strength, endurance, and explosive power.
Then 100 sit-ups to work his abs and stamina.
Then 100 squats to strengthen his legs, power, and cardio.
This was Saitama's training method from One Punch Man.
Maybe in the original world, that wouldn't make you overpowered—but in the Naruto world, it could genuinely turn you into a beast.
In canon, Might Guy with Seven Gates unlocked already gave off serious unstoppable vibes.
After finishing the set, Ryosuke collapsed on the ground, drenched in sweat and panting hard.
Then the system chimed in his head:
"Strength +1, Speed +1, Stamina +1."
Hearing that made Ryosuke grin. Just one point each, but he could feel the difference—his muscles felt denser, stronger.
A warm wave flowed through his body, easing the soreness.
Getting stat feedback meant this method really could make him One Punch Man–level strong.
Saitama could throw shockwaves barehanded.
In this world, Might Guy's Seven-Gate moves like Daytime Tiger were just like ninjutsu, capable of long-range impact.
If Ryosuke could also resist genjutsu, then dealing with those two traitors would be easy—he had the Sharingan after all.
As long as he kept leveling up its power, genjutsu would be no problem. With higher physical stats, he'd be an all-rounder.
In this world, where shinobi are all high offense, low defense, durability and recovery matter a lot.
Even someone as strong as Uchiha Madara—who could be compared to Hashirama—still got killed by a single kunai.
If Ryosuke's body could survive a few more hits, he could easily trade damage and win. Others would fall in one strike; he could take more.
After lying there resting for a bit—
Two figures slowly approached through the woods.
It was Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Izumi.
Izumi had asked Itachi to meet after class to practice kunai throwing.
Though she had a two-tomoe Sharingan, her throwing skills were nowhere near Itachi's.
She still had a year to go before graduation, so she needed to prep for her future as a shinobi.
Chatting happily with Itachi, she noticed Ryosuke lying there and ran over, smiling.
"Ryosuke-kun, you're training here too?"
Ryosuke nodded, his gaze drifting to Itachi behind her.
That traitor again. These two really were childhood sweethearts.
He found himself wondering—
What could possibly exist in this village that made Itachi think it was worth more than someone like Izumi? What about Konoha was so important to protect?
Last time he met Itachi, he'd been a bit aggressive.
After all, the Uchiha Massacre hadn't happened yet. Maybe he could still persuade the kid to snap out of it—stop being brainwashed by the so-called Will of Fire.
Because really, Konoha had no one worth protecting.
Not Hiruzen, not Danzo—those two shady old snakes.
Together, they single-handedly drove Konoha into disaster.
During the Three Great Ninja Wars, it was the Fourth Hokage's heroic stand at Kannabi Bridge that defeated Iwagakure. Yet Hiruzen signed a humiliating treaty and paid war reparations.
They won the war—then gave in for so-called peace. That's why he was forced to step down.
And during the coming peace talks with Kumogakure, when their envoy tried to kidnap Hinata from the Hyuga clan, it was Hinata's father who killed the intruder.
Clearly, Kumo were the scumbags. But Hiruzen, under the banner of "justice," sacrificed Hinata's uncle instead.
The Hyuga never trusted him again after that.
And Danzo? Even worse.
The guy abused his elder council powers to bully the entire village, demanding elite shinobi from every clan—the Aburame, the Yamanaka, you name it.
But what did he even do with all that power? Stirred up nothing but civil strife.
It was Danzo who ordered Itachi to slaughter the Uchiha.
For someone who constantly labeled them evil, Ryosuke couldn't understand why Itachi followed his orders. Why protect scum like that?
Maybe Itachi wasn't beyond saving. If he could be turned, maybe the Uchiha Massacre could be avoided.
With his power, he could even help the clan take back Konoha.
The village was founded by both the Senju and the Uchiha. If the Senju don't fight for it, then the Uchiha are the true rulers of Konoha.
