The young man stared at his reflection in the mirror—and at the yellow mouse Pokémon beside him. A flicker of surprise passed through his eyes.
He had transmigrated into Ash Ketchum, the protagonist of the Pokémon world. And right next to him stood none other than the iconic Pikachu.
That's right—he wasn't the original Ash, but a transmigrator named Leo, a hardcore Pokémon fan with a deep love for Ash's journey. Ironically, his death came from an electric shock—triggered by the rage he felt when it was officially announced that Ash's story had ended.
And now, he'd been reborn into the very world he loved.
"Alright, since I've been given this chance, I'm going to make a name for myself and truly become a Pokémon Master!" Ash thought, determination surging within him.
In his previous life, he'd been an orphan—no family, no attachments—which only made him more excited about this second chance.
As he sorted through his memories, he realized this version of Ash had just finished the Silver Conference and was set to head off to the Hoenn Region tomorrow to begin a brand-new journey.
"Ash! Pikachu! Come down for dinner!" came a familiar voice from downstairs.
"We're coming, Mom!"
He scooped up Pikachu and headed to the dining room. Sitting at the table was a red-haired woman—Delia Ketchum, Ash's mom—and the ever-present Mr. Mime.
The smell of delicious food made Ash's stomach rumble.
"Let's eat!" he said eagerly.
"Pikapi~!"
"Mmm! This is amazing!" Ash's eyes sparkled as he dug in, Pikachu nodding enthusiastically beside him.
After finishing his meal, Ash stood up. "Mom, I'm heading over to Professor Oak's lab."
Pikachu quickly climbed up to his shoulder.
"Okay, be careful!"
"Got it, Mom!""Pikachu-pika~"
--------------
Ding~ Pokémon Achievement System activated!
On the way to the lab, a crisp notification rang in his head. Ash paused in his tracks.
"Pikachu~?" Pikachu tilted its head, confused by the sudden stop.
"It's nothing, Pikachu," Ash said with a smile, and resumed walking.
Inside, he was buzzing.Wahaha! As expected, transmigration comes with a golden finger!
"System, what can you do?" he asked mentally.
Ding~ Host, the system offers three core functions:

Soon, Ash and Pikachu arrived at Professor Oak's Lab. The red-roofed building with its iconic windmill stood tall in the distance. Ash pressed the doorbell.
"Ding-dong~"
Tracey quickly opened the door.
Just then, Professor Oak walked over. "Good morning, Ash!"
"Morning, Professor! Morning, Tracey!"
"Here to visit your Pokémon?" Oak asked with a smile.
"Yup!" Ash nodded.
They headed to the backyard, where Ash's Pokémon were kept.
"Da-na!" A green Pokémon with a plant bulb on its back appeared—it was Bulbasaur, and it greeted Ash by firing a Solar Beam into the sky.
"Good morning, Bulbasaur!" Ash smiled warmly.
Suddenly, the ground trembled as a stampede of Pokémon rushed toward him. Bayleef led the charge.
"Bay-le~ Bay-le~" It rubbed against Ash affectionately.
Ash greeted them all happily—and mentally checked their stats using the system:
Snorlax – Gym Late Stage | Crystallize: Normal.
Bulbasaur & Heracross – Gym Early Stage | Crystallize: Grass, Bug
Bayleef, Kingler, Tauros (Leader), Noctowl – Superior Peak | Crystallize: Grass, Water, Normal, Flying

Phanpy – Normal Late Stage | Crystallize: Ground
Cyndaquil's close to evolving—should hit Superior Late Stage once it does!
"I'll take Phanpy with me to Hoenn," Ash told the professor.
"Just one?" Oak asked, raising an eyebrow.
Bayleef immediately looked hurt and tried to act cute to get his attention.
"Alright, alright, Bayleef," Ash sighed, gently coaxing the jealous Pokémon until it calmed down.
"And... I'll take one of my old partners, too."
"Oh?" Oak didn't pry further. He simply activated the lab's transfer system and summoned...
Charizard.
"Come on out, Charizard!"
Roar~!

As expected of Charizard! Strong and majestic—plus its crystallize type is Dragon!
"Hey buddy, you've gotten even stronger!" Ash greeted.
"Roar~!" Charizard roared proudly.
Ash then used his points to purchase TMs and held items to strengthen his team. He also picked up a Tera Orb, Z-Ring, and a basic Z-Crystal for self-defense.
Professor Oak and Tracey were both surprised at how serious Ash had gotten about training. Oak, in particular, felt proud—Ash was truly growing up.
That morning's training went well:
Pikachu was equipped with a Light Ball and unlocked its Crystallize ability.
Charizard learned Dragon Rush and held Charcoal.
Snorlax picked up Sleep Talk.
Cyndaquil evolved into Quilava, reaching Superior Late Stage!
While others didn't evolve, their stats improved too—and Ash's points were officially used up.
After lunch, instead of more training, Ash took Pikachu and headed toward Viridian Forest...
To be continued…
[1] these should be way higher but whatever I guess!
