Chapter 1 - Born again

It is December 21st 18 years ago a deep and utter darkness swept across the earth. No stars could be seen across the sky not a single one. Even the light of various things like headlights and streetlights all seemed to dim. A expecting mother of the age of 17 Diana felt her water break. Her baby Boy was coming and coming fast. Which terrified her as much as she felt happy. She yelled out to her father . "The baby is coming dad we need to go to the hospital! A Hugh sigh echoed across the room a sharp gaze looked her up and down I guess we should.

Getting into the white pickup truck in a suspiciously calm manner. The man beckoned his daughter come let's get this over with. With a struggle Diana got into the truck. They were off the father of Diana drove slowly down the rode. About 45 minutes later they arrived at the hospital. Unable to move Diana asked her father to go inside and get help. Slowly getting out of the car grumbling. He went inside about 15 minutes later he came out with a male nurse rolling a wheelchair. The male nurse called out to Diana. I am going to get you down from the truck ma'am. Slowly lifting Diana up and set her down gently. Diana's father called out pulling out a cigarette I going home call me when it's over with!

The kind nurse seemed shocked shook his head and rolled Diana inside. Once inside the lights of the hospital started flickering out.The back up generators had to kick in seemingly out of know where the hospital got darker. Diana going into labor was rushed to the doctor. The process of the labor had stalled a emergency C-section had to be performed. Finally 60 minutes later laughter was heard from a baby boy no less. A few hours later Diana finally got to hold her baby boy. Your name is Lucien James Regan she told her laughing baby boy.

Four days later Diana called her dad we can finally leave the hospital. Her father sighed I be there in a bit get ready to work you know you don't get to finish school. Such a shame you know such a shame.
