Chapter 21 - Treatment of Han Fei Part - 1

Adrien and everyone else accompanied Chen to his house.

Seeing the condition of the home, Adrien fell silent for a moment. Deep inside, he thought— "In my past life too, things were just like this. When you have no parents, it feels as if you have no place in this world."

Inside the house, a frail, delicate girl lay on the bed. Her face was peaceful, but she looked so weak that even the gentlest breeze could carry her away. Her skin still held a soft glow, yet illness had withered her beauty.

Adrien activated his Golden Eye of Spy and examined her status.

Name – Han Fi

Cultivation Realm – Restricted by Poison

Luck Points – 1 (Extremely low; death could occur at any moment)

Occupation – Orphan; only one brother – Chen

Relationship – None

Scope Grade – A

Bloodline – Locked

Evelen stepped forward to examine Han Fi, but Adrien quietly said, "Be careful, Mother. There's poison in her body."

"Poison?" Miya and Chen exclaimed almost in unison, their eyes widening in fear and worry.

Selena and Evelen, too, were astonished. How could Adrien know this without even approaching?

Chen immediately fell to his knees. Tears welled up in his eyes.

"Young Master, please save my sister. I will devote my entire life to your service. Whatever you command, I will do. Just, please save her."

His voice held no begging tone—only the plea of a shattered heart. She may have been a stranger to Adrien, but to Chen, that girl was his entire world.

Adrien looked to Evelen again. "Mother, please examine her."

Evelen activated her healing Qi and sent it flowing into Han Fi's body. But the moment her energy entered, a resistance arose—it was as if the poison swallowed the Qi whole. Nothing had any effect.

Even after several attempts, Evelen had no success.

Adrien closed his eyes and asked silently— "System, why can't Mother heal her? Can you do anything?"

The System's voice echoed in his mind—"The poison inside Han Fei's body is very dangerous and your mother is not powerful enough to cure that poison, I can cure this poison but I will not do it"

"Why?" Adrien's voice was calm, but inside, a storm raged.

"Because this girl's Luck Points are extremely low. If I interfere, Fate itself will intervene. And in that event, you may have to pay a price even I cannot prevent. Fate is no ordinary force—and at your current level, entangling with it could be disastrous."

"So there is no way?" Adrien asked, drawing in a deep breath.

A few moments passed in silence. Then the System spoke—*"There are two ways to save this girl.

First—someone must donate at least seven Luck Points to her.

Second—you will need a single drop of Mermaid's Blood Essence. Only that can neutralize this poison."*

With the first method, she could escape but not cultivate until she found the right cultivation art for her body—she would have to live an ordinary life. But with the second method, she could escape and still cultivate.

The System continued—"The poison in this girl is called Ghost Born. In truth, it did not come from outside—it was generated by her own body."

Adrien asked, "How did her body create such a deadly poison?"

The System replied—"She possesses a unique body type. With the proper cultivation method, this physique could be a gift from the heavens. But if the person fails to acquire the right technique, this same body becomes the cause of their death."

Adrien's expression grew serious. "System, where can I find Mermaid Blood Essence? Can you tell me more about it?" He did not want to spend Luck Points, so he chose to first learn about the second option.

System: "Mermaid Blood can be found in the Mermaid city of Haishen Yu, deep within the ocean. Alternatively, you must travel to the Core Region of this planet. If someone already possesses this essence, it is not certain that I would be aware."

Adrien recalled a mission. He asked, "In the System Shop option you gave me, can I get Mermaid Blood there?"

System: "Yes—but it costs 7,000 Shop Points. You don't have enough right now. And until you complete your next mission, the Shop feature will remain locked. So, this option will not be available before the girl dies."

Adrien took a deep breath and checked his own status:

Status

Name: Adrien

Cultivation Base: Martial Master Stage – 7

Bloodline: ???

Luck Points: 13

Skill: Golden Eye of Spy (Rank: Divine)

Cultivation Types: Normal / Dual

Cultivation Techniques: Technique of Heaven's Pleasure (Dual Cultivation) + Divine Energy Gathering (Normal Cultivation)

He thought to himself, "If I give her seven of my Luck Points, maybe her life can be saved."

System: "It will not be that simple. To transfer Luck, you must first establish a Sacred Mark. Then you must offer a sacrifice in the name of the gods. Only gods have the strength to challenge the flow of Fate. I will now tell you the complete process..."

Adrien listened carefully and memorized everything.

He saw Evelen still attempting to extract the poison from Han Fi's body. Meanwhile, Selena was using her powers to examine her, but she too found no hope.

At last, Adrien said to them, "Mother, please stop. This will accomplish nothing."

Hearing his solemn voice, everyone turned their gaze to him.

He stepped closer to Han Fi and said quietly, "Saving this girl is almost impossible."

Selena: "Adrien, why are you saying that?"

Chen immediately fell to his knees again. "Young Master, please save my sister..."

Adrien drew in a long breath. "Chen, the poison inside your sister is not ordinary. A cure is possible, but we don't have enough time to fetch the required items."

Chen: "Young Master, please tell me what it is. Even if it costs my life, I will bring it."

Adrien helped him up and said, "It is no ordinary thing, Chen. If you want to save your sister, you must give her Mermaid Blood Essence. Acquiring it in such little time is impossible."

Miya and Chen could hardly grasp these words, but Selena and Evelen understood at once—what Adrien said was true. To obtain Mermaid Blood was like searching for a needle in a mountain of hay.

Then Adrien said, "However... there is one more way. But it is risky. Two lives will be endangered—your sister's, and the one performing the ritual."

Chen: "Young Master, even if I must die... please save her."

Adrien scolded in frustration, "Brother, I have no desire to take your life. Stop offering it again and again—I am no merchant of death."

Chen fell silent.

Adrien continued, "Listen carefully—your sister must be brought to the palace. Treatment here is impossible."

Then he turned to his mother. "Mother, she can be saved—but we must perform a sacrifice ritual."

Selena: "What kind of sacrifice ritual?"

Adrien explained the process briefly—but he concealed the fact that if Fate intervened, his own life could be at risk.

Then he wrote the list of materials the System had given him on a piece of paper and handed it to his mother.

"Mother, please arrange all these things and bring them to the palace. We will leave ahead."

He then told Evelen, "Little Mother, please carry Han Fi to the palace. Miya, you bring Chen directly—we have very little time."

Selena took the list and departed at once. Evelen lifted Han Fi gently and began walking. Miya and Chen followed behind them toward the palace.
