On a sunny morning, the sky began to lighten, and sunlight filled the home. A new day began as the air was filled with the sound of birds singing. It is time for John to step out of his comfort zone and explore new horizons.
Solomon and Anne were relaxing in the living room of their house. They were talking about how it was sad to see their kid leave the nest and remembering all the memories they had made together. They were thrilled and proud of their son's future as they sipped their morning coffee. He was prepared to take flight, and they knew it.
"Whoa! Time truly does fly."
As Solomon watched John from their leather sofa, he told his wife, "It was only a couple of years, but now your son is going to his studies and soon get married."
"Hey! What are you talking about getting married?"
Even though she knew her husband was kidding, Anne sneered at Solomon and pursed her lips, as she always did when he said anything that irritated her. "My John is still a kid," she remarked.
"Have you already called Eldrin?"
"You need to make sure about the place where John will be staying too." Despite her joyful remark, there were still hints of concern on her face.
Solomon assures Anne, "I've already arranged for John's accommodation. He's more excited about his upcoming study trip to Bayfort. He's been eagerly discussing it with me nonstop since last week."
'In any case, is John's stuff already properly organized? 'Solomon says he has to leave an impact on his lecturers when he gets there.
Anne promptly responds to Solomon, "John has completed all his class preparations, and his belongings, neatly packed and organized, are ready for the trip."
The pair is talking when a soft, steady knock on the door wakes them up.
Knock! Knock!
Knock! Knock!
"Good day, madam." As Anne opened the door, she was greeted by Albus, a young man in his early twenties, dressed in a formal suit.
"Oh!" Hello. Albus, good day to you as well! Anne warmly greets Albus as he enters.
"Please enter; you can take a seat first."
Albus respectfully bowed his head as a gesture of respect before entering Anne's home.
"Good morning, High Lord!" Albus straightens his body and stays upright when he notices Solomon lounging idly on the couch. Solomon greeted the young man with a warm grin and a nod, inviting him to take a seat in the chair with a welcoming gesture.
Albus's face lit up with gratitude upon realizing that Solomon, a renowned protector of the sacred area within the medium-grade Magical Ruins, was hosting him. "I am so honored to have met you in person, High Lord. I feel truly honored to have been sent here by my master Eldrin; it was indeed a blessing."
Solomon, a great lord who was a mix of human and fey, guarded these mystical ruins, which are a concealed doorway to another dimension. As time went on, the houses here were more occupied by regular people due to Solomon and his wife's skillful management of the area. Additionally, this area was transformed into a middle-class neighborhood in order to conceal the location of the aforementioned mystical ruin.
Albus was struggling to maintain his composure while speaking to Solomon. "You were always mentioned by Master Eldrin in his teaching in the school." He can't quite put into words the strong, oppressive aura that this well-known individual gives off when he is in Solomon's presence, but he also finds it comforting when Solomon grins while they are speaking.
Solomon, meanwhile, sat sipping his tea and occasionally nodding at Albus.
How is the situation at the university right now? Solomon asks Albus.
'There have been a few clashes with a few rogues on the sidelines, but the situation is presently OK, sir.'
'As of right now, High Lord, it's still largely quiet since Martial Mage was able to resolve it with ease,' Albus remarked.
"How is Eldrin doing?" It's been a few years since I last heard from that man. Solomon asks Albus about his friend once again.
After completing two years of solitary training, the master has returned, sparking excitement and bringing about significant changes in the school. In addition, he wanted to greet everyone and said he would come as soon as he had certain issues with the school fixed.
While the two were having discussions. After some time, Anne kindly invited Albus to stay overnight, recognizing it was late for him to return. She insisted he stay put for the time being, offering him a comfortable stay.
"I've already prepared our guest room so that you can rest today before you and John depart early tomorrow."
'In addition, we will have a little get-together with our family and friends tonight to celebrate our son's departure party. I hope you have a pleasant brief stay here.'
Albus responds right away, "It is my pleasure, madam, to be at your service."
As the host, she made enough food for their small party, and after they finished eating and engaged in a little small talk, they dispatched a staff member to go with Albus and show him his room.
The next day, John was busy packing his belongings in preparation for the study trip to Bayfort, where he would be accompanied by Albus.
"John! Hey, John!"
Anne's face was excited and slightly nervous as she called out to John outside his door, "Son, hurry up! You still haven't finished packing?"
From his room, John replied, "Mom, I'm done in a minute!" showing a mix of excitement and readiness for the journey.
John would be leaving his parents for the first time since his return from a voyage into the future. But this was the first time his parents had gone through this since he was born.
This is why his mother's anxiety has been evident over the past several days as his departure approaches. She is a very active mother who takes care of John herself, even though she has two housemaids. She and her husband, Solomon, make the decision to educate John on how to perform his own tasks when he becomes five.
However, John's lack of cooperation and rather lackadaisical attitude caused them both to suffer. They so agreed to tolerate John's attitude for the time being, but as he grew older and began to look up to his adoptive big brother, it became worse.
John's behavior worsened as he sought to emulate his older brother, who had a more disciplined approach to tasks. This dynamic only added to his mother's anxiety as she worried about John's future and ability to take care of himself when he eventually leaves home.
