The clan had made its decision. The younger generation would enter the Tyrant Dragon's Secret Realm.
It was the talk of the entire Qin family.
Everyone knew who the top names were.
At the top, tied in reputation stood Qin Feng and Qin Qingshuang.
Qin Feng—everyone in the clan already knew him. The so-called "One Blessed by Ancestors spirit," son of Elder Qin Jian, the golden child of the current times. Lucky encounters, rare physiques, rapid breakthroughs—his rise felt like something out of a legend.
But there was another.
Qin Qingshuang, she was the daughter of Patriarch Qin Heng, born late in his life. Smart, composed, elegant, and naturally gifted. Practices swordsmanship and fire magic. She reached the 11th level of Qi Refining by 16, second only to Qin Feng's rumored 12th level.
Many considered her a future pillar of the clan.
Then came the others:
Qin Shu, a burly guy who practiced palms and earth magic with an iron temper and unmatched defense.Qin Yan, a talisman prodigy known for her speed and spiritual control, she also practiced fire type skills.Qin Mo, the silent spear wielder. Born with innate spear intent in his heart. Incredibly talented in the spear arts and body skills. Never said much, but never lost a duel either.
All of them except Qin Ye had followers.
Of course… Qin Feng wasn't alone either.
His best friend, Qin Da, a fat, chubby, cheerful guy who is very talented in body refining and practices gold type arts. Who somehow always managed to be in the right place at the right time. His father was a sworn brother of Qin Feng's father. Qin da called himself Qin Feng's "strategic brain," .
There was also Qin Ruo, the orphan girl adopted years ago by Qin Jian. Cold eyes, quiet presence. She followed Qin Feng like a shadow, her talents in ice-type cultivation rivaling even the top 5 geniuses in Qin. She was not added to the top 5 since she was adopted.
Qin Ye sat on a low roof tile in secret. Watching them train below the terrace for a while. He shook his head.
"A fat best friend, a cold adopted sister, a lucky protagonist, and a beautiful genius daughter… All we're missing is a demonic sect beauty and a heaven-falling fairy with love poison," he muttered.
He exhaled.
This was getting more and more cliché by the day.
But he had work to do.
Inside his room, he unsealed a small storage bag hidden beneath the bed. Out came a collection of jade scrolls, weapon fragments, sealed pills, and talismans.
They were all self-made.
Ever since he was six, he'd been cultivating in secret. Not just his body or qi—but his craft.
The Forbidden Heaven Scriptures weren't just a cultivation technique.
They were a library. A blueprint. A road map of the Dao.
Alchemy, formations, talismans, weapon crafting—he had dabbled in all. He had smelted the various inheritances in the qin library into his scripture.
Right now, with his current strength, he could barely produce a Level 3 Medium-Grade pill, or forge a functioning Grade 3 middle grade spirit tool, or etch a talisman with a 3rd level minor trapping formation.
But even that, was still far beyond his peers. Most Golden Core cultivators would be lucky to reach that level.
But he was not satisfied.
He had the theory, the talent, the understanding—but not the cultivation to give it full form.
"Once I forge the Chaos foundation Establishment and cultivate the innate vision…" he whispered. "Everything will change."
When peerless geniuses build their foundation, they can sometimes create a vision. This vision based on its use can be helpful in fighting or crafting. His father Qin Zhenhai had a " Sword slashing Mount tai vision" and was incredibly powerful when using sword techniques.
What Qin Ye wanted was not a random vision based on talent. He wants to create his own unique vision. One that encompasses everything. After a lot of research, he created a technique to make a Chaos vision- One that can be used for everything. Sword, Spear, ice, fire, thunder, Alchemy.... everything at his command. This was something never created in history. Only he know how to make it!
He reached into his storage bag and pulled out a thin obsidian dagger. The void hardened around this weapon as if unable to hold its weight. This was a weapon that was created by smelting all the weapons given by the system. Its ability was to cut space and escape, something that only void refiners can do. This was because he was too weak to engrave anymore functions into the weapon or else it would be a terrifying weapon of the tribulation level. It was also his trump card.
Suddenly, a soft knock.
It was Qin Qingshuang. Her face was soft and refined, her skin pale like moonlight, and her long black hair flowed freely behind her like a silk ribbon. She always dressed simply and moved graceful, steady, calm.
A curved sword rested at her waist, always. Though she rarely unsheathed it, everyone knew it was no decoration. She had trained since childhood and had earned her position at the top of the younger generation through real strength.
Her figure was curvy and mature. Combined with her quiet eyes and gentle voice, she gave off a strange contrast—like warm snow.
Even as the only daughter of the current patriarch, born late in his life, she never threw her weight around. Never made trouble. Even when others picked sides or gossiped about the ongoing power struggle in the clan, she stayed out of it.
She stepped inside, hands clasped politely, her brows slightly furrowed.
"Qin Ye," she said quietly. "Can we talk?"
He raised an eyebrow.
Inviting her in, he poured a cup of tea.
"I know you pretend not to care and act indifferent," she said softly, "but I've been watching you for years."
Her voice was calm, but her gaze was sharp.
"The way you sit through the elders' lectures, never missing a single detail. The way you breathe during meditation, like you're counting the rise and fall of heaven itself. And your sword forms... you don't follow them. You study them. Break them down. Rebuild them."
She stepped a little closer.
"You're stronger than you let out"
Her eyes met his.
He didn't respond.
She continued. "I wanted to ask… about Qin Feng. Lately, he's been… different. It's like he's being supported by something I can't see. I don't know how to explain it."
She paused.
"…I know I'm not supposed to doubt clan unity. But I trust you. If anything happens in the secret realm, I'll stand with you and i hope you will also help our clansmen."
Qin Ye looked at her for a moment.
"You're smarter than most," he said. "And more honest than your father."
He had also noticed how Qin Heng looked at him and Qin Feng. Obviously, he suspects something is up with Qin Feng and wants me to take care of the younger generation in case something unexpected happens inside.
She smiled faintly.
Just as she left, the system rang out in his head.
Ding!New Mission: Sabotage Qin Feng's chance.
Reward: True solution of the Soul- God level Soul arts.
Qin Ye's eyes narrowed.
"So the game begins."
