Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Birthday Wish

July 1st, 2014.

To most, it was just another ordinary day. People went to work. Students rushed to classes. Life moved on in its routine rhythm.

But in a small town in India, inside a modest home, joy was in the air. The youngest of the family, RaOne, was celebrating his 14th birthday.

His parents, Ravindra and Shamila, had arranged a small but warm celebration. His elder sister, Raveena, was there too — constantly teasing him, as older sisters do. The house glowed with laughter and love.

RaOne stood before his cake, eyes closed, hands folded.

"God, please keep my family safe, happy, and always together," he whispered.

He opened his eyes and smiled.

Just as he leaned forward to blow out the candles, something strange happened.

His parents were no longer focused on him — they were staring outside.

RaOne turned to look.

And that's when he saw it.

A golden mist had begun to rise, not from one place — but from everywhere. It sparkled and shimmered, twisting upward into the sky. The mist formed massive patterns, glowing symbols and spirals, dancing above them in impossible beauty.

People rushed into the streets. Some marveled at the sight. Some began filming it on their phones. One man was live on Instagram:

"Chat, what even is this? It's so beautiful. Should I rent a plane to go check it out? Say yes or no, quick!"

Then — something even more incredible happened.

The golden mist began to take shape.

It formed a colossal dragon, its size growing by the second. The sight stirred a strange feeling in everyone's hearts — a warm, maternal presence. Many smiled without knowing why.

But some… felt dread.

RaOne clutched his sister's hand tightly.

"Sister… what's happening outside? Are we going to die?"

Raveena laughed, pretending to panic.

"Oh no, RaOne! This is it! The golden dragon is here to eat us all. Say goodbye!"

Though RaOne knew she was joking, his body trembled. Something deep within told him danger was real. Tears welled in his eyes.

Their mother, Shamila, scolded Raveena.

"Raveena! Don't scare your brother like that."

She pulled RaOne close and hugged him tightly.

"Don't listen to her, my son. She's just jealous something amazing happened on your birthday."

"Really, mom?" RaOne asked, voice shaky.

Shamila smiled and nodded.

But outside, the situation was escalating fast.

The golden dragon's eyes snapped open.

And the sky cracked.

Reality itself split apart like broken glass, revealing a rift beyond space. From the shattered sky, a multi-colored gas gushed out, spilling across the world.

And this wasn't happening in just one place.

It was worldwide.

In less than ten minutes, emergency meetings were called.

World leaders from India, China, Russia, the USA, England, Japan, and others assembled for a global conference. Scientists and experts debated furiously.

Their conclusion?

"This phenomenon is not of earthly origin. The energy required to break space on a planetary scale is beyond human technology. This is likely the work of a Tier 3 or Tier 4 civilization — something near-divine. The emotional effects... the golden energy... it's something only a god could do."

Meanwhile, the colored gas continued spreading.

Teams were dispatched to collect data.

But the world didn't get time to act.

Because then — people started disappearing.

All across the globe, millions vanished without warning. One second they were there, the next — gone.

Inside the house, RaOne and his family were watching the news when they heard a sound.

Thud.

Raveena's phone hit the floor.

She was gone.

Vanished.

Shamila screamed her name. She ran through the house, looking for her daughter.

And then — something outside caught her eye.

A green swirling disc had formed near their front yard. It pulsed with energy. Before she could react, something stepped out of it.

A monstrous figure, four meters tall, green-skinned and muscular, holding a massive club. Its red eyes glowed with hatred.

Shamila froze.

Its aura was so heavy she couldn't move. But just before the creature attacked, Ravindra pulled her back and grabbed RaOne.

"Downstairs! Now!" he yelled.

More portals opened. More monsters emerged. Orcs, goblins — savage, cruel beings — poured into the world.

And they began to slaughter everything.

Humans, animals — anything alive.

RaOne's family rushed to the basement. As they ran, goblins crashed through the windows and doors, chasing them with crazed laughter.

Ravindra pulled out an old pistol.

"Shamila! Take RaOne to the basement! Now!"

He fired — killing six goblins. But the bullets ran out.

An enraged goblin lunged.

Meanwhile

Shamila rushed RaOne to the basement.

"Mom! I want to help you fight!" he shouted.

"No, baby," she said. "Stay here and don't make a sound. Can do it for me, okay?"

"Wait—take this!" RaOne handed her a baseball bat. "Use this to fight the bad guys, Mom!"

She smiled through her fear.

"Thank you, my brave son."

She locked the door and ran back upstairs.

What she found shattered her soul.

Ravindra lay on the floor — a knife in his chest. A goblin stood over him, sneering.

With a cry of rage, Shamila struck the goblin in the head. Again and again.

It fell.

She rushed to her husband.

"Ravindra, please! Hold on!"

He coughed, blood trailing from his lips.

"I'm sorry, Shamila… Take care of our son… I love—"

And then… silence.

He was gone.

Tears streamed down her face, but she knew — she had to protect their child.

She dragged his body to a room, placed him gently on the bed, and covered him.

Then she ran to the basement.

"MOM! Are you okay? Where's dad?" RaOne cried.

She pulled him into her arms.

"I'm here. I'm with you."

"Where's Dad…?"

She swallowed her grief.

"He's... out there. But he'll be back soon, okay?"

Outside, they heard screams, roars, and the sound of death.

Shamila held her son and began chanting:

"Om Namo Narayanaya… Lord Vishnu, please keep us safe…"

Eventually, they fell asleep — tired, terrified, and trembling.
