Chapter 2 - Meeting the shades!!!

Moments before MC took the heavenly principle's power

They all felt it, the appearance of a mortal in the room where the heavenly principal is sleeping, none of them knew how that was possible that a mortal had deceived their senses, but they also knew that a normal mortal could not survive in that room for long either, for them it would be like being in front of the sun, even knowing that the shades still rushed to arrive...well at least most of them.

Istaroth was the personification of time in Teyvat, she can know everything that happened, is happening and will happen so it is not surprising that she knew that a mortal was going to usurp the power of the Heavenly Principle but even though she knew that, she allowed it to happen. Why? You might ask, and the answer is simple.

It was the best option for Teyvat, she saw it, the future, a prosperous future and with many changes for the better, no matter how much loyalty you have to a person seeing those changes there wouldn't be many who would refuse.

So as time, always changing, she decided to follow the new heavenly principle in a heartbeat.

••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Present time

His gaze was cloudy but focused on the new heavenly principle.

'her new master' she thought to herself trying to get used to that notion.

"Why haven't you bowed yet?" He asked with a confidence not unlike a king.

So she did the only logical action to his words, she bowed and said "Forgive me, master"

"Good, you know your place" he said and she didn't respond to that, it wasn't a question.

Tap, Tap

More steps were heard on the 'stairs' on the sides, I turned my gaze from Istaroth (who was still bowing) and saw another of the shades, Ronova 'the shade of death' and on the stairs to my left was descending 'the shade of life' Rhinedottir/Naberius

"What happened here?" Ronova asked with a confused face although she soon drew her own conclusions when she saw Istaroth bowing to a man who radiated the aura of 'the heavenly principle'

"Even I can see it Ronova, it seems we have a new heavenly principle" Rhinedottir/Naberius said with an intrigued expression on her face

"That is true my dear shades" I said and all their attention was focused on me when I spoke, in the end there were not many beings in this world who could ignore me, witches are one of those existences since they come from outside Teyvat, of course Rhinedottir is the exception, since having merged with Naberius she has become part of this world.

"You can stop bowing Istaroth" I said when I saw that she was waiting for my order to stop, and she did.

"Now, let's talk about this somewhere else" I said and snapped my fingers, using my new adquired powers I transported us to Celestia's throne room.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

The throne room was large but with signs of abandonment, this has happened because Phanes (the old 'Heavenly Principle') was dormant and this room has been in disuse since then. But that doesn't mean the room is ugly, that wouldn't be possible since this room represents the power of the heavenly principle, his shades and the seven.

This was represented by the twelve thrones that are floating in a formation around the room, following a line of command. The heavenly principle throne was, in short worlds, magnificent, made with out-of-this-world materials, seeing the throne is like seeing a starry sky.

The thrones of the shades were floating on the sides of the main throne and were facing the thrones of the seven, of course all the thrones could move freely around the room, so that doesn't matter so much but it shows how Phanes considered the shades almost his equals and those who exercised her desires but looked down on the archons, The thrones of the shades had details referring to each one's office, Asmoday's was made of her characteristic cubes (which are actually pocket spaces), Istaroth's was blue with gold details, like those flying around her, Ronova's was made of thousands of eyes that moved independently and finally, Naberius's is blue, a lighter blue than the one on Istaroth's throne, the difference is that Naberius's seemed to be 'glitching'.

With a snap of my fingers the once abandoned throne room was rebuilt as it was in its prime, I could remember even thought I haven't lived it, I know all the story of Teyvat.

Author's note: think about the video where the shades are introduced to us, when Naberius appears she does so in some blue squares, that's what I mean with her throne being 'glitching'

The thrones of the seven are less 'luxurious', just thrones made of a white material similar to ivory and with a symbol of their corresponding elements.

When I saw my new throne I began to feel a new sensation running through me, I felt that this throne belonged to me, that it was mine by right so I flew to it and sat down.

When I did it a feeling of satisfaction ran through me, the shades also sat on their respective thrones and positioned them in front of mine.

Ronova found herself in conflict with her loyalties to Phanes and to the position of 'Heavenly Principle' while Istaroth had already accepted the fact that Phanes had died, Naberius found herself not caring about Phanes death, if the new Heavenly Principle could bring better life to Teyvat, then she could ask no more and Rhinedottir found herself curious about how a mortal could take the position of 'Heavenly Principle' so easy, because even asleep Phanes was still the absolute being in Teyvat it was very difficult to take away her power in her territory, Rhinedottir knew this very well after all she tried to once

"can we know your name, master?" The image of Rhinedottir in a blue square floating in the air asked this was, of course, Naberius 'the original shade of life'.

"My name? My name is...?" And suddenly I realized that I couldn't remember my name, and i'm not surprised, if the only thing I had that made me happy in my past life was a gacha game then my name wasn't that important in this new life.

"You don't remember your name, my lord?" asked Istaroth with a face that didn't reflect much interest and only a little doubt.

"That seems to be the case Istaroth" I said, still thinking

"Then maybe we'll have to find you a new name, right?" asked Rhinedottir with a calm and composed face.

"Any suggestions?" I asked

"I quite like the name of 'Crono'" Istaroth said with a disinterested gaze, but I knew better than taking that to face value.

'That name reminds me of another god from my old world' I thought

"I don't like it" I said with a piercing look to Istaroth, since she had unknowingly compared me to another god, she squirmed in her seat, which was normal since my gaze has all the authority in this world, there's no one that could withstand it.

"If I may, my lord?" Rhinedottir said and I nodded so she continued "Maybe 'Elio'?" She said, and I thought about it, but in the end I didn't like it either

"I don't like either" I said and I looked at Ronova (who hasn't spoken since we arrived in the throne room) and asked her

"any suggestions, Ronova?" I asked her and she said "I quite like the sound of 'Cain'...master" she said with a straight face, but I knew better, she was still doubting me, but her suggestions certainly piqued my interest 'a name of the christian religion?' of course I hated the name itself since it belonged to someone who killed his own brother, not that I care much but I'm not going to carry the name of someone like that, but with that train of thought I came to my conclusion.

"Thank you for your suggestion Ronova, I didn't like the name but it has given me light on the matter, my name is...'Elohim'" I said and the reactions were varied, they all they sat down straighter when they heard that name, Istaroth wasn't surprised but interested and Rhinedottir seemed amused by my choice of name.

Author's Note: In the Bible, several names are used to refer to God, each highlighting different aspects of his nature. One of the most common names are: Elohim, which means "God" or "gods" and refers to his role as the creator.

The three shades spoke st the same time (¿four?)

"We greet the new Heavenly Principle, Elohim"
