Chapter 16 - Chapter Sixteen: Danzo's Danger Part One

Chapter Sixteen: Danzo's Danger Part One

After the last time I told them to stay away from me, Itachi and Naruto stopped trying to talk to me and I was finally able to be free from any danger that might come from them.

I went straight to the bookshelf and took out the new book I wanted to read.

[Chakra Enhancement Guide]

I read the title of the book and smiled. This was just the book I needed. I had reached the two-star level in chakra control and other things, so I needed to increase my control.

I know I have many options like climbing trees or even walking on water but I prefer walking in a more stable way.

I started studying the book at this time as the sun was about to set. I left the library. I greeted the librarian and the book keeper with a smile and said goodbye to them. They were two very good people and they always helped me find books.

I arrived home as usual and headed straight to the bathroom. My day was organized according to a routine, and that routine was a constant training to get stronger. As the sound of the dripping water stopped, I stepped out of the bathroom wearing a towel, wiping the water off my body.

"The only feeling I've ever felt in my entire life is when I take a shower after putting in that long effort."

The whole time in this place I was sitting directly at my desk practicing chakra control.

-----

What do you want, Danzo? I asked the man who entered my office. He was wearing many bandages on his face and body. It was a hideous smile. I knew it was evidence of new ideas for improving the village, which he had devised to occupy my mind.

"Minato, I don't need a reason to come here, you know that..." She slammed the desk and cut him off directly.

This is Hokage Adanzo's office, not your playground. You have to respect yourself. I kept my tone steady. I saw the look of anger in his eyes. It was refreshing. I found it fun to see this old man get angry.

"Minato, you know that the situation outside the village and at the border has gotten bad, right?" Danzo said directly as he pointed to my office with his hand covered in bandages.

True, I thought the situation between the Lightning Village and the Leaf Village had become very tense, especially in border situations. It seemed like someone was manipulating things, but that wasn't enough. "So what? It's always been like this. You know the Raikage is always like this, right?"

My words were wrong, but I wanted to prove my point. Warikage's style was completely different from the old ones. Minato's eyes narrowed for a moment as he remembered this, but he didn't want to reveal anything to Danzō.

Especially since he doesn't trust this man.

His methods seemed to have changed so much that I began to suspect he was sending information to the other villages. I wanted a single clue to help me act, but he was too smart to give it to me.

"Minato, I just wanted to tell you some important things," Danzo said.

What exactly are these things? I asked him, waiting for his answer.

He smiled at me with his hideous smile. I wished he would stop, but I could bear it after all that training. I wanted to ask the Third Hokage how he put up with this man, but he didn't answer. All he told me was to put up with him because Danzō wanted peace in the village.

Danzo said with certainty that there was evidence of a criminal group helping the Lightning Village uncover some information about Konoha.

What was the outlier in this group? Should I trust Danzo? Minato had many thoughts, but he decided to make sure, so he asked:

Does Master Jiraiya know about this? I asked Danzō. Master Jiraiya and Danzō were always able to pass on information to the village. Since Master hadn't told me anything, it meant it was a very large group. But the question that came to Minato's mind was: How would I know about this matter and this group?

"I don't know what your teacher knows. He's always been Sarutobi's student, so of course I don't know how much information he knows," Danzō said.

"Mmm," I thought as I settled into a more serious position on the bench, one more comfortable for thinking. I looked at Danzō and ate. There was only one thought in my head.

What does this group want from their help with lightning since they went to the Raikage as they must have some things they need from him and why do they want to give him information about Konoha?

Since you know these things, Danzō, who is this group that supports the Raikage and provides him with information about Konoha? I asked Danzō:

He made a thoughtful sound. This was the sound that bothered me the most about him. It was proof that he wanted to think about what he wanted from me before giving me any information.

Minato wanted to take the diplomatic route with Danzō to the highest level. After a long silence, Danzō didn't say a word. Finally, Danzō said something that surprised Minato.

"I want something, look at this," Danzo said, "the academy's student card." Minato was surprised, confusion etched in his eyes as he looked at the student's picture.

What is this? Danzo asked in confusion.

This is the request I want in exchange for telling you the information I found, he told me.

Is he crazy? I thought. Does he want to negotiate with me for information that could harm the village? A spy like that, capable of entering the village and transmitting information about Konoha to another village, is extremely dangerous. I slammed the table angrily.

Danzō, do you think this is a good time to bargain with me? Have you finally gone crazy or are you just mad? I said, feeling anger welling up in my head. No, of course not, but the Root needs some talent too. The Hokage should know that my spies are capable of bringing back this information, but that's taken a lot of my resources, don't you know that? Danzō said, looking at the Fourth Hokage.

Is this true? I laughed at this snake inside. He had always been indifferent to those under his command. He even gave them seals to prevent them from speaking or resisting. He had always been like this. What did he want from this student?

Why did you give me this picture? I said, pointing to the picture Danzo had pulled out.

He smiled his ugly smile that made my stomach ache but he continued.

You know there are many talents in the academy but I found that this student is very important to me so I would like to offer him to join the root what would you be surprised if you found that I muttered without realizing I grabbed the picture and looked closely I remembered that this was one of the students that Jiro told me started improving until he reached the first rank in the end The theory was very smart according to my words Jiro so Minato was sure that was true

Before Minato could finish his thoughts, Danzo said,

"Some more information about these tailed beasts," he said, throwing the scroll onto the table. I quickly grabbed the scroll and placed it in my hand.

I started reading it, my eyes widened and I said in an unprecedented voice of astonishment:

"This is impossible. This group of people are crazy," I said to Ledanzo, closing the scroll and pointing it at him.

I know this is hard to believe but this group of people yes they want to catch the Duel Beasts he said that with a look full of anger it seemed like he couldn't believe his words but more than that Minato was full of anger because he remembered something that happened in the past

Uchiha Madara, that name suddenly came to mind. It was the name of the person who caused a catastrophe in the village. He almost harmed himself, but there were several factors that helped Minato stop the disaster.

It would be a disaster if this man was the one behind the group infiltrating and supplying information to Kuma. This also meant that the Leaf Village could suffer great harm, Minato reasoned.

But now wasn't the right time, but the man in front of him was taking Minato's mind.

He came to tell me this information, and I'm sure he told me because he knows better than anyone that I take good care of my children, especially since they're the heirs to the tails after I distributed them among them, just to bargain with me over a student at the academy. This student, as far as Minato remembered, was named Kazuki Suzuki. He studied in the same class as Naruto, didn't he? He hadn't checked on his eldest son in a long time. Work took up a lot of his time. If he found out, he felt like he'd forgotten about his son.

Stop that and get down to serious business. He put aside the thoughts that had been popping into his head and focused on the important matter once more. Danzō asked the student's name.

"Why do you want this college student to join the Root with you, Danzo?" I said in a clear tone.

Danz took a moment to think and said,

I told you a moment ago that the Root needs new talents, and I find this boy's talent excellent. His talent isn't as strong as your son's or the genius of the Uchiha Clan. However, he meets all the requirements to join the Root.

Are the requirements not there?

You bastard, is it because he's an orphan? That's the only reason Minato included this boy in the Roots.

If his memory doesn't fail him

That boy must be a genius too. He was so talented in the exams that Jiro asked permission to administer the jonin exams to that student. Aminato agreed. At the time, he was very busy with the situation of the village and trying to revive its economy.

The reason Minato remembered this was because this student had scored very high on exams, something that didn't surprise Minato himself.

Meanwhile, Danzo was looking at Minato, sure that he would get the student he wanted.

It would definitely be a weapon for me. Danzō made his decision. This was extremely sensitive information, one that Danzō could use to pressure the Hokage into obtaining reinforcements for his own roots.

Remember the information you read about that student Kazuki Suzuki.

Not only was he a theoretical genius, but he had also used the Roots to continuously monitor that student for a full year after his appearance. Danzō was initially surprised by the student's escape, so much so that he wanted to kill the orphanage director.

At that time, Danzō wanted to add a new group of children to his roots. At that time, he noted in his reports that the young man, Kazuki, was an orphan from a civilian family. Furthermore, he had shown no talent or intelligence. But suddenly, exactly a year ago, he began to consistently show impressive results.

Not only academically but also mentally, he had been training for over a year continuously, to the point where he had seen reports of him constantly going to the hospital for check-ups due to the constant training, something Danzo cared about more than talent.

Seriousness in training. Danzō himself understood the importance of hard work in his ninja career. He had always trained, and therefore appreciated children who trained on their own. That boy's results at the academy were quite surprising to him.

But this also angered him deeply because he was in the same orphanage that Danzō had recruited the children from long ago. He had only himself to blame for missing out on recruiting this child, but now he had found a suitable way.

Through his spy network he was able to find out that there were some infiltrations in the village and after searching he found the organization that was doing it and also found out that they were also connected to the Lightning Village and wanted to take advantage of that now so that he could get a new weapon for his group now that he stood in front of Minato I had in my hand all the cards that I could use to win with that skilled young man Danzo had no idea about taking Naruto, Itachi or the clan children they were the clan children as well as the Hokage's son and it was impossible for Danzo to touch any of them

But this boy was also a genius and more importantly, he wasn't from any clan, so Danzo was sure that if he got him, he would have a powerful weapon out of sight that he could develop well.

The silence in the Hokage's office lasted for a quarter of an hour.

Finally, the Fourth Hokage spoke.

I can't let you take this boy, Minato said, his eyes widening, Danzo couldn't take it anymore and shouted,

Why do I also need new resources after the extraordinary efforts I've made to achieve the village's ambitions? Danzo asked.

This is where the chapter ends. I hope it was nice. I wanted things to start getting better and more connected.

I'd also love it if you let me know if you like it. I'm glad to know that I always appreciate your comments.

Danzō enters the chess arena. I hope he doesn't cause too much trouble for the hero, but don't worry. A moment passes. There are changes in the story, and Danzō won't be the only one who will start chasing the hero's head, Suzuki.

I hope all my friends, whether Lavande or AF025, are well, and I look forward to seeing your feedback in the comments section.
