What happens when you put a god on trial… without chains?
Scene 1: Watchtower Garden Deck – Dusk
Superman stands alone, high above Earth, watching the blue marble below.
His posture is straight. His cape sways in the windless air. His jaw? Tense.
But his eyes… tired.
He hears the footsteps.
Elias:
"Funny. Everyone thinks you never sleep. But you do, don't you?
Only when the world's not looking."
Superman (calmly):
"What do you want this time?"
Elias (steps beside him):
"Not much. Just to see what happens when a god finally listens instead of hovering."
Superman sighs.
Superman:
"You think you know me."
Elias:
"Oh, I do. You're everyone's favorite hypocrisy.
Alien raised as a human, still pretending you get to call yourself 'one of us'."
Superman's fists tighten.
Scene 2: Trial by Truth
Elias:
"You fly over cities like a messiah. You stop volcanoes, redirect planets, inspire hope."
"But you can't stop one man with a mouth and a collar?"
Superman turns, eyes glowing faintly red.
Superman:
"You want me to fight you? While you're suppressed?"
Elias:
"No. I want you to realize that your restraint isn't mercy—
It's fear."
"You're terrified that the day you hit back without limits…
You become him."
Superman glares.
Elias:
"Every time you smile, the world kneels.
But inside, you still hear Jonathan Kent's voice, don't you?
'Maybe let them die.'"
That hits. Hard.
Superman looks away.
Elias (cold):
"You were never taught to feel your power.
Only to fear it.
That's why you surround yourself with mortals…
To remind yourself you're not a god, even though you breathe stars."
Superman:
"And what would you know of restraint?"
Elias:
"Nothing. I embrace what I am."
"You suppress. You smile. You wear that stupid curl of hair and hope the world doesn't ask you to make hard choices."
"Because when you do… people die. Like Zod. Like the people in Metropolis. Like everyone in every timeline where you blinked too late."
Superman is silent.
Elias:
"You think your hope is strength. But it's a leash, Clark.
A pretty one, sure. But still a leash."
Scene 3: The Snap of Patience
Suddenly—Superman moves.
Faster than light.
In a flash of red and rage, Elias is slammed against a Watchtower wall, the metal buckling behind him. Cracks web across the bulkhead.
Superman's hand wraps around Elias's throat.
Superman (growling):
"You say one more name… and I end this."
Elias chuckles through the pressure.
Elias (rasping):
"That's the face… The real one.
The alien. The conqueror.
The god with a glass heart."
"You think you're righteous.
But deep down... you're just a nuclear weapon in denial."
Superman's hand trembles.
Then, slowly… he lets go.
Scene 4: Aftermath
Elias drops to the floor, coughing—but smiling.
Elias:
"You could've killed me.
But you didn't.
And now… I own that too."
"I win, Clark. Because even in rage, you hesitated.
And I'll use that hesitation to tear your League apart."
Superman backs away, shaken. Silent.
Scene 5: System Update – Internal Only
[Suppression Ends in: 3 Days]
[Target: Superman - Guilt Depth Reached: 91%]
[Emotional Breakpoint Approaching]
[New Effect Unlocked: "Iconkiller" Aura - Weakens morale of symbolic figures within 30 meters.]
Elias grins as the screen flickers.
"Almost ready…"
Scene 6: Council of Gods – Observation Dome
Gods stand in silence. Watching. Measuring.
One finally speaks:
Unknown Celestial:
"He is no longer simply mocking.
He is corrupting."
Another Voice:
"Correction: He is unbinding."
Scene 7: League War Room
Batman slams a file onto the table.
Batman:
"He's attacking our psyches, not our bodies.
And we're letting him."
Flash (quietly):
"I don't even remember why we brought him in…"
Wonder Woman:
"Because we were afraid he'd become something worse."
They all look at the display:
[Elias Black – Threat Level: Reclassified]
[New Status: Emotional Weapon / Anti-God Class]
Batman:
"And we were right."
Final Scene: Elias in the Shadows
He walks alone now.
No audience.
No jokes.
Just three words, whispered like prophecy:
"Burn the myth."
