Charles stared fixedly at the object through the periscope, a human skeleton.
To Charles, the dead weren't frightening. What he was now pondering was how this thing had gotten here and what its purpose was.
Three seconds later, the figure suddenly flickered and vanished, leaving the periscope view shrouded in darkness once more.
Charles immediately released the periscope and walked toward the cockpit door.
"Captain, where are you going?" Deep hastily followed him.
"Going out to meet this guy. You come too,"
"Gurgle~" A stream of bubbles rose from the sea as Charles followed Deep into the pitch-black waters.
The bone-chilling seawater made Charles shiver all over; he felt the perceived temperature had already dropped below freezing.
Charles's night vision seemed to be suppressed here, allowing him to see only about ten meters ahead.
