Chapter 632 - 631. He’s Back! He’s Back!!

After so long, this was the first time Alex had ever ridden in such a nice car.

Although he was now a Dimension Lord and possessed terrifying powers, riding in a luxury car still gave him a nostalgic feeling of youth.

Some say a man's romance lies in mechas and metal. Look at Mephisto, the Hell Lord, one of the oldest demons—he still admired Tony Stark's Iron Man armor.

He even bought the original Stark Tower and sent The Hood to try and steal Stark's technology. But Alex knew there were more important matters waiting for him. He didn't have time to linger over such worldly things.

Listening to Logan's words, Alex straightforwardly asked,"I need to know Deadpool's whereabouts."

"Deadpool?"

Hearing that name, old Logan froze.

He seemed unable to believe what he heard, then confirmed again, "Deadpool? Wade?!"

"That's right, Wade Wilson. I need to know where he is now," Alex said seriously.

Upon hearing this, Logan glanced at Alex through the rearview mirror as if looking at a madman.

After a moment's thought, Logan spoke, "Deadpool's already dead. Died a long, long time ago."

"Impossible. He has to be here," Alex frowned.

Miss Minutes's detection couldn't be wrong. Since she said Deadpool appeared in this world, it meant there had to be a Deadpool in this universe at this very moment.

"I saw him die with my own eyes, brother," Logan said gravely.

"Striker built an island where he modified Wade's body, installed many mutant abilities on him, and controlled him. Later, Wade died on that island. I only recalled this memory afterward."

Alex couldn't help but frown, a strange expression crossing his face.

The plot of Wolverine 1!?

How does this timeline connect?

Sensing Alex's unusual expression, Logan continued, "Though I don't know who you are or why you're looking for Wade, like I said before, you're looking for the wrong person."

"That can't be."

Alex muttered under his breath, then silently summoned Miss Minutes in his mind.

"Miss, what exactly is going on?"

[The Time Controller is analyzing this timeline's plot. Though not fully decompressed yet, it's clear this Logan is not lying.]

"I know he's not lying; his heartbeat is normal. What I want to know is—if Deadpool really died in this world, then why is there still a Deadpool here?"

The Deadpool in this world was not the Deadpool most people knew. This Wade was a natural mutant, with super reflexes that allowed him to do impossible feats like blocking bullets with dual swords.

Unlike the familiar Deadpool with a healing factor, this Deadpool's regenerative abilities were poor—probably limited due to Striker's modifications. He had almost no defense.

Because of this, in the final battle, Wolverine and Sabretooth together beheaded Deadpool, officially declaring him dead.

When Deadpool from another universe crossed over, he could easily kill this "trash Deadpool" with a single pistol shot.

In short, this Deadpool could hardly be called "Deadpool."

[Sir, the Time Controller's location data must be correct, unless…]

"Enough."

Alex urgently cut off Miss Minutes's words.

He narrowed his eyes slightly. "You know what's going on, so don't say it. I suspect the mental world has been corrupted."

Since obtaining Miss Minutes and the Time Controller, Alex had maintained mental communication when normal conversation wasn't possible. But now, he couldn't help but be alert.

From the moment he arrived in this universe, Alex sensed something was off.

If he had come to an unfamiliar world, he might not have reacted so strongly. But this world was too familiar to him. According to his understanding, Deadpool should absolutely not exist here.

So this means someone has been orchestrating all of this behind the scenes.

They even have the ability to deceive Miss Minutes and the Time Controller's detection, drawing Alex into this world.

If that's truly the case, then mental communication is no longer safe. That person might even be capable of monitoring conversations between Alex and Miss Minutes.

Maybe they can't pinpoint Alex's exact location, but like a form of contamination, if the enemy is attracted by their talks and turns their attention this way, then things become very serious.

"From now on, carefully consider what you say and what you don't."

Hearing Alex's loaded words, Miss Minutes responded quickly.

[Understood, Sir.]

Both fell silent in tacit understanding, and Alex shifted his gaze toward Logan.

Although he didn't know who the enemy was or why they lured him to this universe, Alex was certain the opponent must be someone extremely familiar with the timelines.

Someone who can see through every timeline's development and even bring entities that don't belong in this timeline.

Southern Border

An abandoned factory in a desolate wasteland.

Charles sat slumped in his wheelchair, mouth slightly open. A thin strand of sticky saliva dripped from the corner of his mouth onto his collar.

But he didn't seem to notice. He was completely limp, like a wax statue slumped in the chair.

No one knew how much time had passed before Charles' glazed eyes suddenly cleared. His whole body trembled as he let out a mournful howl, his brows furrowed tightly, as if witnessing some horrifying vision.

"Ugh… ugh ah ahhh!"

Charles tried to reach out with his hands, attempting to block something, but he couldn't lift them no matter how hard he tried. He could only continue howling in anguish.

His screams quickly drew attention. Amid a dull noise, the door slowly opened, and a thin figure wrapped tightly in heavy clothing hurried inside.

"Oh my God, Charles, what's wrong?"

The man first shut the door firmly, then came straight to Charles and grabbed his shoulders tightly.

"Professor, can you hear my voice? Professor, are you alright?"

"Ugh! Ugh!"

Feeling the man's touch, Charles' screams grew louder, and he began struggling in panic.

"You at least remember me, right? I'm Caliban, Professor."

Caliban held Charles firmly in his wheelchair, preventing him from thrashing and risking injury.

Looking at the unfamiliar old man in front of him, Caliban was at a loss for what to do.

Originally, Caliban was a member of the Morlocks group. Later, as the conflict between the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants grew fiercer, mutants like Caliban were forced to pick sides.

At that time, he firmly stood with the X-Men and used his ability to sense other mutants to help them recruit more students and prove his value.

However, this good time didn't last long. After he developed porphyria, he had to retreat into the shadows. Now he couldn't be exposed to light—literally.

This rare disease made any light a torment for Caliban. After the X-Men were wiped out and mutants disappeared, Caliban was taken by old Logan to take care of Charles.

Feeling Caliban's power, Charles's hazy eyes grew even more clouded.

"Ugh! Ai… ah."

"What did you say?"

Caliban realized Charles wasn't just howling; he seemed to want to tell him something. He hurriedly leaned in and pressed his ear close to Charles's mouth.

"E E… Erik."

After a while, Caliban understood.

Charles was referring to Erik Lehnsherr, Magneto's real name.

"Professor, Magneto died a long time ago. He passed away in prison," Caliban said firmly, holding Charles still.

"Ah… Erik…"

Charles wailed and began to cry.

He shook his head wildly, trying to break free from Caliban's grasp. Somehow finding the strength, he pushed Caliban down, but he himself fell heavily to the floor.

Seeing this, Caliban didn't dare relax. He immediately climbed back and lifted Charles into his wheelchair. But it wasn't easy—Caliban struggled mightily before finally settling Charles back in his seat.

"Stop this, Professor. I have to change your diaper now."

Sighing deeply, Caliban turned to leave.

But at that moment, Charles suddenly reached out and grabbed the hem of Caliban's clothes.

"Caliban."

Hearing the sound, Caliban looked back blankly.

Charles's face was serious, his gaze clear and intense—completely different from before.

"Erik's back. Erik's back!"

"Professor, you're having nightmares again," Caliban said, shaking his head sadly as he tried to pry Charles's hand away.

But Charles held on tightly to Caliban's clothes, refusing to let go, shouting firmly:"He's back! I saw him! He's back!"

"Enough, Professor. Stop acting crazy!"

Caliban's patience was gone. He roughly pulled Charles's fingers apart and turned to walk away.

But Charles still reached out, trying to stop Caliban's steps.

Caliban shut the door firmly behind him, took precautions against the light, and hurried off to get diapers and medicine.

Even after walking far away, Caliban could still faintly hear Charles's shouting.

"He's back! Erik's back!"

"I saw him!"

"Magneto's back!!"
