Jeremy who saw Asher collapse felt his blood drain completely, his face became deathly pale.
" Noo! This can't be happening. Emily help him." Jimmy yelled. He finally got himself out of the wooden stake, his stomach was bleeding but he ignored it completely.
The pain he was feeling in his stomach, wasn't anything compared to what he was felt on seeing Asher on the floor.
Struggling to stand he crawled to where Asher laid on the floor.
" Baby! I am here, Jimmy is here please can you hear me." Jimmy tried calling out to him.
He began to shed silent tears, why again? they were children for goodness sake , why do they have to bare such burden?
Such cruelty was just beyond them, still trying to wake Asher up from the state he was Emily stopped him.
" I think he is just weak let's carry him somewhere safe, and plan our next move." Emily suggested.
Jeremy frowned, wasn't she the person who was linked to Asmodues and Abigail, how sure that the figure standing before him wasn't a dangerous evil lurking around.
" And why should I trust you Emily, just give a fucking reason why I should?"Jimmy yelled.
" You killed Luna! You fucking killed my friend you shameless thing." Jimmy voice grew louder.
Emily heart skipped hearing the accusations, she can't remember clearly what happened_ but was she really the one behind Luna's death? It can't be true she has changed.
Jeremy smirked, and turning to where Ava was he ignored Emily presence completely conversing with Ava who was on the opposite end.
" Can you stand we have to go now, by now Lamia must have arrived at the dragons lair and danger is looming in the world we all know." Jimmy reminded Ava once more why eyeing the traitor behind him.
" I understand, my wounds have all healed, I am okay now." Ava replied, voice brimming with strange enthusiasm.
She wasn't completely healed, but the effects was subsiding maybe it was the advantages of being a powerful goddess.
So Ava used the opportunity to check up on Asher, feeling his pulse and breathing pace she sighed in relief.
" He is fine Jimmy just worn out, I don't know if you can carry him so that we go to an unused classrooms which is just behind that oak tree." Ava suggested pointing at a huge block which was covered with moss and plants.
Jeremy nodded his head, glad that they were alright, he has noticed how Ava wasn't saying anything concerning Emily and he wondered why. Maybe when they reached the classroom and Asher is well taken care of he can ask what was happening because at it seems, Ava was hiding something from them.
" Okay then let's go." Ava alerted them and they all began walking, Jimmy carrying Asher in a bridal style. Jimmy on the way felt a spark of pain on his stomach but he continued, as it seems; the sword seems to have some magical qualities and he was slowing healing.
Thank goodness the sword wasn't just for fighting, because his life was constantly on the line and he can't afford getting butchered or being a stumbling block to Asher on his mission of restoring balance.
As if forgetting something Jeremy turned.
" What about your partner? I haven't seen him around." Jeremy questioned, wondering why Ava suddenly abandoned Harlan when she was clearly the one stating he would be of help.
Ava was silent for some moments, Jimmy gave up thinking that Ava wouldn't talk, maybe because it was him? Maybe just maybe if it was Asher she would have spoken, but they weren't that close after all. But to his surprise Ava answered him.
" He is dead, Asher killed him in the battle." Ava replied coldly which took him by surprise.
What the hell! Asher killed him but that was impossible? the only thing Asher annihilated was those hedious beasts except if...
No way..
" Did he..?" Before Jimmy could ask Ava turned to him and stopped.
" The dead witches did this, Lamia to be precise. He just took away some innocent life as if it was nothing and if I have the chance I will drive your sword in his stomach till he die." Ava declared.
Jimmy face hardened.
" Harlan isn't innocent and once again it's not Lamia fault. Lastly how sure you're my sword will kill him wasn't he declared immortal." Jeremy interjected, surprised that he was defending someone he clearly hated.
Ava resumed walking, her face changing with that of annoyance.
" Are you with us at all? Were you not there when the oak tree revealed it, and why do you think Lamia wants the dragon and Phoenix stone? It's to become invisible and by reaching that feat I doubt your sword can do anything to him." Ava explained halfheartedly.
Jeremy rolled his eyes, it wasn't that deep.
Emily on the other hand walked besides them in silence, she began to really think of what Jeremy told her earlier.
Now she was thinking about that, why the hell did she suddenly have this powers? It feels as if something is reaching out to her, that half of her was empty and voidless which was worrisome.
She looked at Jeremy, what the hell did she do this time around because as shocking as it was she doesn't remember anything. Only that she wanted Harlan so badly, now he was dead killed and used brutally by Lamia.
Fuck him. Fuck Lamia and the dead witches, all of them.
Stopping at the abandoned classroom, Ava gave them a quick sign to enter, and the two ventured inside.
" What about the students in their dorms can't we do something, at least bring them out." Jeremy slowly asked why waiting for Ava enraged reply, but it never came only a calm reply.
" Because they are much more safer there than outside here, incase you haven't noticed the city has been polluted, night has grown longer. Sunlight has refused to come and you know why? It's the handwork of the dead witches." Ava revealed.
" Their main powers lies in the moon, and during the night like this they are the most deadliest creatures you can ever seen, and they have control over everything here. Especially now that the book of shadows is in their hands." Ava concluded with a blank expression.
Jeremy was taken back, how did she know about them been in custody of the book of shadows..
" Oh don't be shocked, it's obvious their powers has never been this higher, and that's why they wanted the touch of powers to reach the invisibility level but with the custody of the books of shadows and the dragon's and Phoenix stone; as I tell you they will become a god. Different level of a god." Ava eeerie proclamation made a chill run down his spine..
" Then we go now to stop it." Asher voice came out from the suffocating silence.
Jeremy was overjoyed at his awakening..
" Oh you're back. Thank God are you alright?" Jimmy questioned, running his hands over Asher face.
Asher smiled at the gesture.
" Of course darling, and as I say earlier both of us will do that prayer and locate where Slyvia and Rose are hidden. This time around no separation because with my understanding we are stronger together." Asher melodious voice resounded.
Then slowly he stood on his feet.
" Shall we start and Ava now that you're a full goddess I need the prayer, Emily after this you have some explaining to do." Asher declared.
Ava took two steps and began muttering a prayer.
" What about the clothes, I meant Rose clothes. And shouldn't we question Emily now? what if she's hiding something dangerous that might help us?" Jeremy proposed.
Asher just giggled.
" Oh Emily isn't that naive. Or are you Emily?." Asher voice came sharp and Emily quickly responded meekly.
" Noo Asher anything important I will let you guys know." Emily assured.
" Great so this is settled." Asher then snapped his hands and a silk dress appeared on a nearby table.
" So can we all follow Ava prayer, it's time." Asher grinned and slowly he closed his eyes, muttering the ancient divine prayer.
