Back to present*
"Don't! I've had enough of your nonsense! Since you have refused to treat me like a daughter, then there's no way I'll respect you as a mother. Don't you dare raise your hands at me next time; you won't like the outcome!" Tricia blurted, then roughly let go of her mother's hand.
"Did you just do all that to Mom? You held her hands and twisted it! You fucking fought Mom! I'm going to report you to Arnold; you won't go scot-free this time around!" Bethel stood up from the bed, attempting to walk out. Tricia pushed her back to the bed, and without delay, she fell back because of her limping leg.
"What do you think you're doing? You think you can intimidate me this time? You should be grateful I didn't show up yesterday when you came to embarrass yourself. I would have dealt with you regardless of your knees! I don't know what to say to you or Mom; I just want to warn you to stay away!" With that, she stormed out of the room, leaving them shocked and speechless.
