Erika looked at Haru as she spoke. "Ready for our battle".
She sent out her Vileplume, and Haru looked as he spoke. "Yeah".
This simple training between them, as they looked at each other, as Haru sent out his Arcanine. "I know you haven't battled In a while, but let's go". Haru then spoke in his head. "I have done some research on Erika Pokémon, her Vileplume has Power-up Punch, Sleep Powder, Synthesis and Swords Dance, and if I remember Arcanine move I through in the past, he has Crunch, Close Combat, Flare Blitz and Extreme Speed".
The battle began, Erika took a calm breath, her usual serene demeanour hiding the battle-hardened strategist within. "Vileplume, Sleep Powder!"
Haru reacted instantly. "Arcanine, Extreme Speed to dodge, then Flare Blitz!"
Arcanine vanished in a blur, avoiding the cloud of spores before igniting in flames, charging straight at Vileplume. The Grass/Poison-type had no time to react as the fiery tackle landed, sending it skidding back.
Erika, unfazed, gave a small smile. "Synthesis."
A soft green glow surrounded Vileplume as it quickly healed most of the damage taken.
Haru clicked his tongue. "Yeah, figured you'd do that. Arcanine, Crunch!"
Arcanine lunged, its fangs glowing dark as it bit down on Vileplume. However, Erika was ready.
"Power-Up Punch!"
Despite the attack, Vileplume delivered a solid punch, boosting its Attack as it broke free from Arcanine's grip.
Haru smirked. "Getting stronger, huh? Let's see if you can handle this. Arcanine, Close Combat!"
Arcanine rushed forward, its movements precise as it unleashed a flurry of strikes. Vileplume, despite its bulk, struggled to endure the onslaught.
Erika's eyes sharpened. "Vileplume, Sleep Powder—now!"
This time, up close, Arcanine had no chance to evade. The powder settled over it, and in moments, the fiery beast's eyes grew heavy as it collapsed into sleep.
Haru frowned. "Tch, you always play smart, huh?"
Erika giggled. "You should know by now, Haru. Strategy over brute force."
Haru exhaled, thinking fast. "Alright, if you want to play like that... Arcanine, wake up with Flare Blitz!"
Erika blinked in surprise as Arcanine, through sheer willpower, forced itself awake, flames bursting from its body.
"Flare Blitz!!"
Before Vileplume could react, Arcanine crashed into it with immense force, sending the Grass-type tumbling across the battlefield. The attack recoil was harsh, but Vileplume was completely knocked out.
Erika sighed but smiled. "Well, I can't say I'm too surprised. You always find a way."
Haru grinned. "A bit of research, a bit of instinct, and a whole lot of luck."
She recalled her Vileplume, nodding. "Alright, you win this round. But it is not over yet".
Rose then spoke as if she was the Referee. "Haru has one the first round of this 6 on 6".
Erika then sent out her next Pokémon. "Go Exeggutor!".
Haru called back Arcanine as he spoke. "Go Scizor!"

Haru smirked. "You know me, Erika. I like to play it smart. Scizor, Bullet Punch!"
Scizor moved at blinding speed, its metallic claws glowing silver as it struck Exeggutor before it could react. The attack landed cleanly, but Erika had already prepared a counter.
"Exeggutor, Reflect!"
A shimmering barrier formed around Exeggutor, reducing the impact of physical moves.
Haru clicked his tongue. "Of course you'd set up defenses first."
Erika smiled. "A good battle is about preparation. Exeggutor, Flamethrower!"
Haru's eyes widened. "Damn—Scizor, dodge!"
But it was too late. Exeggutor unleashed a stream of fire from its mouth, engulfing Scizor in flames. The Bug/Steel-type cried out, taking massive damage from the four-times effective attack.
Haru gritted his teeth. "Tch, should've expected that. Scizor, Roost!"
Scizor glowed softly as it landed, healing off some of the damage.
Erika, however, wasn't giving him any breathing room. "Psychic!"
A wave of psychic energy crashed into Scizor, sending it skidding back.
Haru clenched his fists. "Alright, if I can't win with brute force... Scizor, Agility!"
Scizor's body shimmered as its speed increased dramatically.
Erika raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Planning something?"
Haru smirked. "You'll see soon enough. Scizor, X-Scissor!"
With its enhanced speed, Scizor blurred forward, crossing its claws and slashing Exeggutor with an X-shaped strike.
Exeggutor wobbled but held firm thanks to Reflect.
Erika nodded approvingly. "You're persistent, but Reflect is still active. Exeggutor, another Flamethrower!"
Haru had been waiting for this. "Scizor, use Agility again to dodge and follow up with another X-Scissor!"
Scizor narrowly avoided the flames, zipping around the battlefield before landing another powerful X-Scissor.
This time, Exeggutor couldn't withstand the attack and collapsed.
Erika sighed, recalling her Pokémon. "Looks like I underestimated how fast your Scizor could get."
Haru grinned. "Speed can make up for a lot."
Rose raised her hand. "Exeggutor is unable to battle! Haru leads two to zero!"
Erika smiled as she grabbed her next Pokéball. "Then it's time to get serious. Go, Tangrowth!"
A large, vine-covered Pokémon appeared, its tendrils writhing as it prepared for battle.
Haru smirked. "Alright then, let's keep going!"
Haru then spoke. "Move Change"
Everyone heard a mental click, as they knew Scizor had changed two of its moves, as they looked at each other.
Erika then spoke. "Two can play that game move Change".
Scizor then used, Sword Dancer, as she rushed at Tangrowth then moved out of the way, then she Ancient Prower, as the move hit sending Scizor back as she moved out of the way, she used Ariel Ace on Tangrowth, but the Grass Pokémon quickly moved out the way, as it then used Solar beam, which to bad for Haru, today was a very sunny day as Scizor was sent flying hitting a tree knocked out.
Rose raised her hand. "Scizor is unable to battle! The score is now 2-1, with Haru still in the lead!"
Haru clicked his tongue as he recalled Scizor. "Tch, that Solar Beam hit harder than I expected. Alright, if you're going to play the weather game… I'll counter it." He grabbed his next Pokéball. "Go, Swampert!"
Erika looked as she spoke. "Is that your best move? I know he can bond evolve and is your starter, but really".
Haru smirked. "You say that like it's a bad thing. Swampert, let's show her why you're my ace!"
Swampert let out a deep growl as it landed on the battlefield, its powerful muscles tensing.
Erika remained calm. "Alright then, Tangrowth, let's keep up the pressure. Use Power Whip!"
Haru reacted instantly. "Swampert, Ice Punch!"
Tangrowth's thick vines lashed forward with incredible force, but Swampert countered with a freezing punch, shattering the incoming vines with sheer power.
Erika's eyes narrowed. "Smart counter… but let's see how you handle this. Sunny Day!"
Tangrowth intensified the sunlight, making Solar Beam an instant attack again.
Haru, however, just chuckled. "Knew you'd do that. Swampert, Rain Dance!"
Dark clouds quickly formed overhead, countering the bright sunlight and bringing down a steady rain. Erika frowned as the battlefield shifted in Haru's favor.
Haru grinned. "Now, let's finish this. Swampert, Ice Beam!"
A freezing blast shot from Swampert's mouth, striking Tangrowth directly. The Grass-type let out a pained cry before collapsing.
Rose raised her hand. "Tangrowth is unable to battle! The score is now 3-1 in Haru's favor!"
Erika sighed but smiled as she recalled Tangrowth. "Alright, you countered my strategy well. But the battle is far from over." She grabbed her next Pokéball. "Let's see how you deal with this! Go, Roserade!"
