Chapter 81 - The Breaking Point

Kilua's body was on the verge of collapse. His muscles burned from the relentless assault, and his breath came in ragged gasps. Every nerve screamed with pain, but there was no time to rest. Illumi's relentless attacks kept coming, each one faster and stronger than the last. Kilua was no longer sure how much longer he could hold on. His energy was draining, and his Nen felt weaker with every passing second.

But something inside him refused to give up. He had made it this far by surviving against impossible odds. This was just another challenge—one that would test his very will to live. Kilua's eyes narrowed as he pushed through the pain, a surge of determination flooding his chest. He couldn't lose, not when so much was at stake. Not when Gon was counting on him.

"Is this all you are, Kilua?" Illumi's voice pierced through the chaos, his words dripping with disdain. "You've always been weak. I can see it now—your strength was always a lie."

Kilua's grip on his Nen tightened. His anger flared, and he thrust his hand forward, sending a pulse of electricity crackling toward Illumi. But the attack was weak—Illumi dodged with ease, his cold smile growing wider.

"Pathetic," Illumi mocked. "You'll never surpass me, Kilua. You'll never be more than a puppet of the Zoldyck family."

Kilua staggered, his body shaking, but the fire in his eyes never wavered. "You're wrong," he muttered through gritted teeth. "I'm done being your puppet."

In that moment, something inside Kilua snapped. A raw, unfiltered power surged within him, erupting from deep within his core. His Nen flared out of control, crackling like an uncontrollable storm. His aura expanded, rippling through the air as it pushed against the oppressive weight of Illumi's Nen. Kilua's pupils dilated, and for the first time, he felt the true depth of his potential—raw, untamed, and devastating.

"This is my true power!" Kilua shouted, his voice hoarse and filled with defiance. The ground beneath his feet cracked, and the air vibrated with the intensity of his Nen. He wasn't holding anything back anymore.

Illumi's eyes widened, his confidence faltering for the first time. Kilua's Nen was unlike anything he had ever encountered—chaotic and unpredictable, but powerful beyond measure. It was the manifestation of his will, the culmination of everything he had fought for.

Kilua pushed forward, his body moving on instinct as he unleashed a barrage of lightning-fast attacks. His movements were fluid and precise, each strike faster and more lethal than the last. Illumi tried to dodge, but Kilua's power was overwhelming, pushing him back with every blow.

But as the battle raged on, Kilua felt his strength beginning to wane. His Nen was unstable, and the power he had unleashed was taking a toll on his body. His limbs were shaking, his breath coming in ragged bursts. He knew he couldn't keep this up for much longer.

And then, Illumi made his move.

With a flick of his wrist, Illumi summoned a wave of Nen that engulfed Kilua, wrapping around him like a chain. Kilua struggled, but the more he fought, the tighter the grip became. His body was trapped, his movements restricted by Illumi's overwhelming control. The older Zoldyck's cold laugh echoed through the air as he stepped forward, his hands glowing with a sinister energy.

"You really thought you could defeat me, Kilua?" Illumi's voice was mocking, his expression one of cruel amusement. "You've always been weak. You'll never escape me."

Kilua's mind raced. He couldn't give up. Not now. He had to find a way out. But Illumi's Nen was suffocating, and his body was too drained to fight back. His vision blurred, and his head spun. Was this the end?

But then, a memory flashed through Kilua's mind—a memory of Gon, of their bond, of the promise he had made to himself. He couldn't let Illumi win. He couldn't let his family control him any longer. He had fought for freedom, and now, he would fight for his own life.

With a final, desperate surge of strength, Kilua tapped into every last bit of energy he had left. His Nen flared once more, but this time, it was different. This time, it was focused, controlled. His hand shot out, electricity arcing through the air, and with one final cry, he unleashed everything he had into a single, devastating blow.

"Thunderbolt of Freedom!" Kilua roared, his voice filled with raw emotion.

The blast shot toward Illumi, a blinding flash of light and electricity that shook the very ground beneath them. Illumi's eyes widened in shock as the attack collided with him, sending him flying backward. The explosion left a massive crater in the ground, the air thick with the smell of burnt earth and ozone.

Kilua collapsed to his knees, his energy completely spent. His body was battered, bruised, and broken, but he had done it. For the first time in his life, he had broken free. He had overcome the chains of his past. He had defeated Illumi.

But as Kilua's vision blurred, and darkness began to close in, he knew that the battle was far from over. There were still enemies to face, and he would have to fight with everything he had to protect those he loved.
